    Currently taking apart a 128LD my inlaws gave me. It sat in the yard for about a year. The cylinder and piston had internal rust from moisture sitting in there, got new cylinder and pistol kit for $45. We'll see how it goes once parts come in.

      @@djancak yes, I got it installed and I managed to strip the key way that holds the flywheel in position after I got it to crank for a few seconds. Now waiting for the new flywheel to come in haha. But it did run for those few moments.

    As i used to use a weedeater everyday working at my grandfathers landscaping company(summer lawn maintenance) the 525lst was the best weedeater i ever used. Lighter and more power then anyother weedeater. Take the gard off and let a little string out. Makes work alot easyer.

    I use my 128 LD with stock attachment for trimming taller grass. Like fescue. I have a straight shaft attachment with a steel head, or pancake head and I use it for edging and trimming hybrid and or Bermuda lawns. Also have a curve shaft. Just so everyone knows. The reason I bought the 128 was because all and I mean ALL old Craftsman , Ryobi or click link attachments work with this trimmer. Expand it, and click link are the same thing. I have attachments 15 years old and the all work in the 128 LD

    I retired an old Stihl trimmer that had served me well for many, many years and decided to go to the local big box store and bought a Husqvarna trimmer. Thus far, it has been a disappointment. It's heavier than the Stihl I had before, and somehow the string head doesn't spin as freely - it takes power from the motor to muscle it into motion. Feels like a brake is being applied to the head assembly. I've also struggled to get this Husqvarna to idle correctly. When it started going dead on idle, I adjusted the idle up and it didn't take long for it to return to the low idle again - going dead the second I let off the throttle.
    This, of course, is just one man's experience but I'm going back to Stihl ASAP.

    I've have used a friend's Husqvarna string trimmer 323l I think it's called that has so much power that my arms flare up bigger and show my veins every time i squeeze the trigger now That's a weed eater with some power and it's lightweight it's a flawless trimmer I've used I wished I could owned one of them my self alone with my Stihl fs56 RC string trimmer side by side

    Why is the 128ld less expensive if it has more CC than the others? I’ve always wondered that. Use my 128ld for my business and love it. It’s gonna be a back up for next year and used for attachments and mainly use a STIHL trimmer of some sort.

    Husqvarna 128LD combi tool is a bargain for those 220$ but the problem is that the attachments cost almost as much as a trimmer itself. For example edger is 170$. Hedge trimmer is 160$. That is way way too much...On the other had that 525 is a beast. I use it commercially for years now. I used it's predecessor 323 R-II for 7-8 years professionally without a single service.It was the same spark plug, the same air filter.. Incredible...Of course the 525 is even more powerful... Husqvarna earned my respect and trust so I'll be using their trimmers until they disappoint me. And that would have to be a serious disappointment. .

    I’ve got a Husky 324l that is awesome. I’ve also got an Echo 2620 which is okay. I’m thinking of selling the 2620 and replacing with a 525l. My question is which is your preference 2620 or 525l based on your experience? Thanks!

    • @exterminator1
      @exterminator1  6 лет назад +2

      I have the 525lst.I love my 2620t and my 525lst.So I am keeping both.Now going forward I will be getting 525lst from now on.As I love my dealer.the 2620 is so much heavier then the 525.the 2620 has way better handles and more comfortable.Both have a good head angle.525 starts easier and better on fuel.There is roomers of husky changing the handles.If they make it more comfortable then husky will be hard to beat.

    • @goldtopsrock
      @goldtopsrock 6 лет назад +1

      eXterminator I’m fortunate that the Husky handles are comfortable for me but I’d like to see what they got coming. I agree the Echo 2620 is hard to pull especially after a long hot day. But they do always start on 1 or 2 pulls. The Husky though is ridiculously easy to pull and unbelievably smooth and quiet. My 324l is 12lbs like the 2620 but feels lighter to maneuver and use. Can’t imagine what the 525 must feel like being 2 lbs lighter.

    • @exterminator1
      @exterminator1  6 лет назад +1

      324 is a 4 stroke with a honda engine. so cant really compare with a 2 stroke.my 2620 is easy to pull usually starts cold in 3 pulls.echo handles have rubber padding as huky has just plastic.525 and stihl 94r are super similar in weight and power.I prefer them but echo is more comfortable.husky needs to change the antivid handle on their commercial trimmers.hurts my wrist.my new 525 pole saw has it even.just whatever you like is all that matters.the top brands are all good

    I use a 223L for my business. I really like how light weight it is however I have never been burnt by it but I have been really badly shocked by it. I have used it extensively beyond what it should be and it hasn't let me down. This year I am looking to buy another trimmer and of course everyone is directing me to Stihl but the Husqvarna has been so good to me it almost has me wanting to buy Husqvarna. I also have a backpack blower of theirs and it is really good.

    • @joehertel8846
      @joehertel8846 3 года назад

      Also I agree with you the 128 is a bit short but it has made me a lot of money I run it right alongside my Milwaukee trimmer (which is phenomenal using the xp force line .105 it will cut through dime sized brush ,even the woody stuff highly recommend you try it out if you do pop a Stihl autocut head on it or a t35 it definitely adds to the cutting power and the machine handles it nicely ) and I also have the Stihl fs55 which is currently having the carb replaced that I got for free cause someone was gonna throw it away after they couldn't sell it and let me tell you what that thing destroys
      Whatever is in front of it love your vids as a fellow power tool addict I have the same addiction for trimmers as you but I've also got a bad itch for chainsaws ! Let me know if you wanna trade a saw for a trimmer !
