This is my favorite video of Nanyou Odori because the audio quality is good, and it shows the dance steps clearly. Nanyou Odori are Ogasawaran adaptations of 5 dance songs brought from Micronesia starting in 1923. The mixture of Micronesian languages with Japanese is puzzling, as it bears little semblance to vernacular Ogasawaran creole. Perhaps the Japanese portions replaced fragments lost during oral transmission or that were difficult to pronounce. @@aselunar I'm currently residing in Guam now. Right now any incoming travelers have to stay in Guam for 14 days. After being cleared in Guam they can officially enter any of the states in the FSM.

I'm Chuukese & the uadoro song derives frm the chuukese word "uwa torofi" in the song I heard "uwa torofi nemin" meaning "I caressed u girl"
