In his many arrangements of traditional Russian folk songs, Moiseyev reflects on different aspects of the Russian national character. This dance from the suite “The seasons” depicts the humor, mischief, romance and lyricism, so often ascribed to the people of the countryside. The setting is a harvest festival, and villagers of all ages have gathered to cheer on a young couple.

From what I’ve read, Igor moiseyev who founded this ballet, was known as one of the world’s best choreographers. He was recognized both within and out of Russia for his skill. Although he died around ten years back at the age of 100, the ballet must still be held at his standard.

Dancing is actually harder than sports.
The synchronization is insane. Literally one move and everything is ruined. The footwork is insanely difficult despite being it simple in one's eye. If you stumbled it will create a chain reaction with everyone.

I was watching the feet of the women. Their foot would step forward right at the spot where the person in front of them's foot was. Imagine losing count and stepping on the person's heels in front you and also your heel being stepped on.

No no no that doesnt even LOOK easy, in case it went unnoticed, the cues were rather specific and in the beginning the girl in red came in on the feminine cues and the male on more masculine cues. It was amazing.
I'm speechless!! Wow the coordination and their leg moments...JUST AMAZING!!! When they started rotating it looked unrealistic...I can't even imagine their hard work, hat's off!!!! 👏😍
