You pay high price because of PBM and healthcare providers, who profit 55% of the price of the drugs.
You pay high price because generic druug prices are too low, essentially eliminating competition and ending with monopoly. And that the best scenario, when the price reach bottom low no generic available.
You want to pay less? Start with eliminating PBM, pay higher prices for generics and extend patent exclusively term, encouraging development of new drugs. Essentially encouraging innovation competition and not price competition.

I got a different generic brand of ADHD drug today. I'm irritated just because certain generics are allowed to deviate a certain amount of the active ingredient. And every generic ends up having different side effects and onset times. It's manageable if I get the same generic for months, but I don't like it when it changes from month to month.

Depending on China for drug supply and then suddenly imposing sanctions on them is a very bad idea. But Trump began this trend in 2017-18 and Biden continued with more and more sanctions.

If you are on a drug dangerous to stop suddenly, see if you can get more pills of lower dosage so you can taper down if they run out of your medication. US drug companies get free reign to charge whatever the heck they want so they have no excuse for not being able to meet demand of their product. Absolutely no explanation or excuse is good enough. You charge astronomical amount of money for your product well above what you charge for the same product in other countries so guess what figure it out, our pharmacies better be stocked. Otherwise maybe we have to start look at what you’re charging for the product versus what you’re spending to produce it it would be the shame of the government got involved and we wound up with #medicareforall they’ve been doing it with insulin and if they don’t knock off the games that eventually the government will go after all the rest of the drugs as well as they should! Health services and medication should be considered a national public service no different than any other utility.

Ahh , maybe to get China to open up on raw materials, let them ship more pre-cursers to Mexico?? Do you want our government right in the middle or start its own manufacturing?? I'm waiting to see more companies just switching products whenthe government tries to contol them. They just say "see you , we're not making that anymore" .

What is your suggestion for the people who do exercise frequently, lead a healthy lifestyle, and make healthy diet choices? Those people whose HBP is genetic. What about them and their need for medication?

@@nancy4980 the genetic argument accounts for 10% of the reason why people have "genetic" conditions.
I'm supposedly predisposed to many mental and physical health illnesses that I was medicated for as a child and with lifestyle and nutrition change, I don't need any pills and am healthy.

Eat only whole foods and/or plantbased diets, and practice fasting, minimum 16 to 18 hours per day, or even prolonged fasting of 2, 3, 5, or even 7 days, and you can heal any disease or disorders.
