  • Can two charge controllers power the same battery? That's what we test in this video.
    0:00 Intro
    0:32 12V AGM Double Charger
    7:20 48V Lithium Ion Double Charger
    8:30 Test Equipment - Resistance Heater
    11:53 Conclusion
    For this test we are using a pair of PowMr 60A Charge Controllers. These do not talk to each other, they are imply sensing the voltage of the battery and reacting as they see fit.

    A suggestion.... No YTer shows their full system working. How many amps they draw during the night and how long it will take the solar controller to replace those amps. In a real battery bank of over 500 amp hours.
    And no body shows systems that are a year old and how they survive time.
    It is a niche.

For the 30 amp cc it is 720w, 40 amp it is 960w, 50amp it is 1200w and for the 60amp it is 1440 watts for your 24volt panel that you have assuming you are using a 24volt battery bank. Concerning to hear they show wrong watts. I'm getting quite allergic to those powMr. Saw the review from another youtuber where the 60a new model you tested which got stock in mode 7, was sending out 80v to the battery if you had a battery disconnect just for a few sec.. seems its absolute pure garbage all around their offerings.

    • @BeeneEnergy
      @BeeneEnergy  Год назад

      More expensive controllers like the outback FM80 have sync cables so they act as one. This was me playing around with whether that seemed overkill. As you state it seems rather intuitive they can just operate independently since they are all just sensing voltage. While these silver powmr charge controllers seem to operate better than their new m60 "pro" model there do seem to be differences over time, as some I've tested have worked better than others. Reliability hasn't been a concern so far though and they stay cool enough to keep out of the default mode the m60-pro goes into.

      Im going to buy another "One Solar" controller. Its cheap and all the competition have very poor displays that make me allergic.
