I agree 100% John don't chase a micro tune, they come and go way to fast!

Goodness gracious, reminds me of golf. Paralysis by analysis.

Dumb question but is the chrono plotter & shot marker one software program or separate. Either way where can I find it or them. Great videos. Thanks

Shotmarker is part of the acoustic target system autotrickler.com/pages/shotmarker and the Chrono Plotter is its own program for analyzing chronograph and other data and can be found here chronoplotter.com

I’m struggling with seating depth but I use MS Excel. I was hoping for your advise from a field performance for regular guys viewpoint..

I really enjoy your posts and save them for future reference. I have been wanting to get back into loading again now that I'm retired but cannot find powder, primers and bullets anywhere! Not sure how competitive shooters can continue when components are not available 🤔

Thank you and I’m glad some of the videos help. As for components, most high level competitors buy in large quantity but even so, it’s getting tough. Even for me, if I can’t find powder in the next fee months then I will be out. I know there’s matches that have talked about reducing round counts and such to help too.

When you say ‘virgin brass’, does that mean you’re doing seating depth tests with brass that hasn’t been fire formed to your chamber? Doesn’t this throw off your results?

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  3 года назад

This is caliber made brass, meaning it's pretty close to my chamber so I find the results are close where they'll be when formed. In this case I need to actually shoot my virgin brass in a match so I'm doing load development specifically for this brass and may do another small set of tweaks once it's been shot later.

Really nice tool, is there a way to print results for like a paper log ?

Hi, I'm the developer. There's currently no built-in way to print the results, but you can save the graph as a file (.PNG, .JPG, or .PDF) and then print that. I can look into adding a print button in a future version.

@@michaelcoppola8187 Hi there well first of all, thank you for sharing your program, I just download the program I was away from home so I couldn't install it in my work computer, and also congratulations for such amazing program, PDF will work, I will keep an eye for any updates, one more thing since I can get answers straight from you, will this work on either android or an ipad ? or maybe iphone ? the reason I'm asking is because at least in my case I have to drive like 45 min to my shooting range and sometimes I take pictures from my phone just to keep records and then I transfer to my pc when I get home.

@@markahdz Glad you like it! I don't have plans currently for an Android or iPad/iPhone app, but it may happen further down the line. When you take pictures, do you mean you take pictures of shot groups, or chronograph results? I'm investigating if there's any way to import shot group photos into the program rather than manually typing in group sizes, but that may be down the line also.

@@michaelcoppola8187 sorry for the late reply I got busy updating my magnetospeed and run into problems when updating ahaha, I take pictures of the shot groups and then I just create series in my magnetospeed so series 1 picture 1 and so on so I can have a digital reference, I do keep my paper targets, I created one template so they are truly 1” so I can use another software to get correct measurements for the group.

@@markahdz Gotcha, thanks for the info. It’s useful learning how shooters go about their load dev so I can better decide which features to add next and how to design them.

How do you measure shoulder to orgive?

    • @FClassJohn

      Using this tool ruclips.net/video/yikYkykMCcQ/видео.html

    • @somedude5713

Hmm, I like this idea of measuring from the shoulder, but this tool contradicts another idea I like of Eric Cortina idea of measuring freedom seeds at bore size. I guess if you get your shoulder bump consistent, measuring from the shoulder shouldn't be necessary, but I wish there was a tool that combined the ideas.
