I'm a 39 year old that grew up listening to Thin Lizzy and Phil Lynott's solo stuff on vinyl. My how I loved the way Phil could paint vivid images with his lyrics, the music being a perfect backdrop. One of the best bands ever!!!
I love his hair yup they have a lot of awesome songs I will never get tired of listening to them :-)
Descubrí Thin Lizzy en el 2012 cuando tenia 14 años, 10 años despues aun lo escucho. Gracias Phil
Incredible band.....RIP Phil Lynott.....
The melodic harmony of both guitars was just over the top great. Still is
They were fucking brilliant.... my band did 5 covers of this band ... they were my favorites
Wow...thank you for making this video. I lived this band uhh my teens and inky recently rediscovered just how AWESOME they are. Without Thin Lizzy they'd there be no U2.
You guys will forever be awesome. 🙏👍😊😎💕🌹
The song selection in this doc is just amazing..... HONESTY IS NO EXCUSE !!!!!
Loved those major 7 guitar harmonies. Very jazzy for heavy rock
W hen I was 15 I got drum lessons from Brian in his house in Dalkey ... what a gentleman! What a great time !!!
Does he not still live in Clontarf?, genuine question
james moran so this was circa 1984...? I’m not sure where he was before or after but around that time he lived in Dalkey.
First concert I ever went to. Thin Lizzy opened for Journey--Checker Dome, St Louis, MO. somewhere around 1978 or 1979. It was Journey's Evolution tour. Good stuff, for sure.
Iconic. They changed the game. They were so good.
Saw Phil on stage a couple of times. I haven't seen any rock frontman with so much charisma before or since. Even the likes of Plant don't command audience attention like Phil did.
Bit of history.. saw them at the top hat club in spennymoor, england, just after their top of the pops appearance.. bought tickets the previous week..50p each!!..went to the club expecting them not to turn up..asked the bouncer..yea he said they're coming, didn't want to let the fans down..rest is more history❤
Seen em with Gary Moore, opening for Queen in '77. I was there to see Thin Lizzy more than Queen. I also saw U2 open for J. Geils Band, in early '82...I'll take TH every day of the week, over the other guys...not even close!
It's so overwhelming sad on all the artists of the 60's-70's that didn't make it thru (alcohol and drugs) that special time in music and overwhelming thankful for the ones who did. I was a part of that time and loved (love) it !!! It was a great time !!! The singers and bands from the British, Ireland and Scotland were what I was all about. Also liked Americans music from that time, but these other bands had me !!! 💕
I was so lucky I was !!!
☮️🙏💜
well James Hetfield said "no thin lizzy. no metalica." so there you go.
Damn Straight
squ34ky2 fk off and go listen to spando baller fruitcake
squ34ky2 Ahh, another “Metallica sucks”’guy...What’s it like being so delusional?
DeathinDublin , if there was no Lizzy Borden there would be no Thin Lizzy. There would be No Borden branded foods either 🤔
Without a black Sabbath there would be no Black Sabbath 👍
My favorite band ever
Raw talent, hard work, and Gary Moore!
Daniel Tyler yes exactly. And Gary Moore
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR THIS DOC!!!!!!!!!! LOTZ OF
still love this band over many many years!!
