When i was in the army, the zero procedure for 5.56 was as follows... 5.56 is on the same plane of trajectory at 300 meters as it is as 25. A torso sized target at 300 meters appears to be 4cm wide. If you can land 2 groups of 3 shots in a 4cm circle at 25 meters...youre zeroed for 300 meters. Kentucky windage for anything else. BUT this makes for damn easy zeroing when you only have to do it at 25 meters👍

I have several Pinty (also sold as CV Life) optics and my favorite is a 4x fixed power with a fiber optic iron sight and I picked up a couple more when I caught them on sale on Amazon. I have beaten the crap out of mine for a couple of years now and I can say they hold a decent zero and are pretty durable for what they are. I’ve even put one on a Crossman SBR BB gun and is perfect for practicing in the back yard and the 4x and distance markings allow for some real precision shots. The only thing I can say remotely negative is that after 1000 or so rounds in a 7.62x39 AR the mount screws backed out of the optic and I couldn’t figure out why it was all over the place that day. Once I discovered the loose mount, I dabbed a little locktite on the screws and haven’t had a problems since. I have been pleasantly surprised at the bang for the buck you get out of these and they are cheap enough not to lose sleep over if you scratch it or knock it around.
Quick and to the point. Seems like an optic worth considering. Please , just examine the feasibility for you to install it in a lever action rifle, specially a heavy caliber, and see how it takes the punishment of several rounds : misalignment after several rounds, looseness, vibration affecting its zero, etc. Will be much appreciated. Thanks a lot for your time and effort putting this together!!
Or mount it on a jackhammer and see if the vibration will rattle it's guts out. Hard impact in one direction is not near as efficient at testing it's guts as high frequency high intensity vibration. My ACOG was $3600. But has night vision and a thermal scope that detects the body heat of a rabbit at 1200 meters. If the bad guy comes he may be out of sight but he's not out of range.
Thanks! I’m only 12 and do airsoft and thought an acog would look sick on my M4. And I obviously can’t afford a 1.5k optic but this is great because I can afford an 80$ optic!
This thing will be over $100 in a few days when they start flying off the shelf!! I’ve got a Pinty scope on one of my AR’s. It was about $50 or so and (I hate to say) is just as accurate as the $500 Leupold on my hunting rifle.
I run one on my PCP air rifle. 4x magnification is more than enough for 150mtr shots. Only problem I had was that my eyesight is not what it used to be (my arms are getting to short) and these ACOG's are designed for people with 100% vision. I fixed this by opening up the rear part and replacing the original o-ring with a 3.5 mm version. This gave me enough distance in the ocular to get me a nice sharp image. The BDC doesn't work with an air rifle but Trijicon has a document on their site with all reticle dimensions in MOA, so with some calculation this all works out. Only wish those Chinese would make a version with a Mildot or MOA reticle. I like this optics more than any red dot I tried, works very well for pest control (rodents).
I look forward to seeing how you feel about the Bdc system they use. I loved them in the military. I thought the original ACOG worked amazing. If this is good out to a distance, I’ll prob get one for one of my builds for coyote hunting or something.
I'm honestly surprised it survived at all. Seems like a decent budget option for training and plinking. And if it fails, there are still those fine backup sights. Downside: I will never look at original Trijicon ACOG the same again :)
I'm not defending the price point on the Trijicon per se, as I haven't bought one either. But have you actually picked one up, or otherwise handled it? I've had the chance to do so. They've got a little more going on than that fiber optic powered reticle. They have exceptionally clear glass, a massive field of view, and Tonka-tough durability.
I buy Ohhunt Acogs off amazon and have bought four and love each and every one. Even worked good on a couple semi auto 12gs I've owned. Have the exact Acog in the video/link on My Personal Ar15 right now. Love them and love the price!
This is cool , I bought a Tidewe 700 Range finder and with the Pinty ACOG , I should be able to do pretty good on targets to at least 500 yards . I will have to give it a try . I have a pair of binoculars I bought at BIG 5 Sporting Goods . Cheap Sniper City , Baby . 😂 I can't afford the expensive ones either . I think it was under $160.00 for everything . Thank you ; Who Tee Who ! I love your videos and content . 😊👍👍
Thats a good video and man is that an inexpensive optic. I've looked at the real deal ones and I could only look at them from a distance because I was afraid to touch it at that cost. You could get 2 or 3 of my AR's for the cost of one optic. Another good find Who-tee-who
Refreshing straight forward honest review. Good work. Ordering mine today. Update: Ordered the one with the rail on top. Other one was sold out. Thanks for the info!

Threw their cheapest red dot on and within 5 minutes i was zeroed and i ended up liking it so much i left it on for the last month. I just finished a .458 Socom pistol build and plan on throwing it on there just to test how the recoil affects it. Two words you hippie, hair cut. LMFAO. This sounds like a good deal
😆😆😆
I believe the sight your running is an LPVO, or a low power variable optic, I’ve
Got the vortex 1x6
On my AR and love it
Lpvo is one you can adjust. This does not adjust. 4X all the time
The hat comes off!! I thought it was permanent.🤯
😆😆😆
@@BacklTrack Compared to a Trijicon ACOG, this is just a crap, knock-off.
Just bought one. Thanks buddy, I'm budget friendly as well. I appreciate all your videos.
I'm honestly surprised it survived at all. Seems like a decent budget option for training and plinking. And if it fails, there are still those fine backup sights. Downside: I will never look at original Trijicon ACOG the same again :)
Think I will order one, as always thanks for the videos. Keep up the good work, God bless.
Yes I've used em
This is the first notification I've gotten in a while for your channel. I did my 1000 yard hi point shot. Vids up
Daggumit. I have a new video every day. Ill check it out
@@WHOTEEWHO I was curious what was going on.
well that real freaking stable LMFAO
Hope you have a good day Gary. Gotta choose to smile and be happy
I buy Ohhunt Acogs off amazon and have bought four and love each and every one. Even worked good on a couple semi auto 12gs I've owned.
Have the exact Acog in the video/link on My Personal Ar15 right now.
Love them and love the price!
Same with me. Work well
@@WHOTEEWHO Glad to hear back from you Sir, thank you for all your videos.
You have my attention!
Hi from beautiful British Columbia, Canada

Thats a good video and man is that an inexpensive optic. I've looked at the real deal ones and I could only look at them from a distance because I was afraid to touch it at that cost. You could get 2 or 3 of my AR's for the cost of one optic. Another good find Who-tee-who
Yup. Ill never pay for that expensive stuff
if you guys don't have a tool to adjust it, you can always use the rim of the cartridge.
Refreshing straight forward honest review. Good work. Ordering mine today.
Update: Ordered the one with the rail on top. Other one was sold out. Thanks for the info!
Thanks for watching HW
I bought a TA31H ACOG on Craigslist for $625. Took me months to finally find one for sale in my area. It was worth the wait cuz I wouldn't pay retail either, LOL
I've been really surprised by pinty optics. I bought a few for paintball guns and needed an optic to testfire a new ar build. Threw their cheapest red dot on and within 5 minutes i was zeroed and i ended up liking it so much i left it on for the last month. I just finished a .458 Socom pistol build and plan on throwing it on there just to test how the recoil affects it. I've got a few nice vortex optics coming in the mail but i want to see how much of a beating it can take to offer it as a budget option when i get my shop open.
MAGFED!!!
The acog link is dead. It redirects you to another site
"Slap it on the AR" tune it with the "knobbies and clickies"...yep, my type of informative vid!

Whoo. Budget scope video for 2023-2024
