@@duckwacker8720 I beg to differ, after 15 years the price should’ve dropped by some if any amount. And as far as “actual quality” remember this, a benelli m2 or m4 shotgun will run you at least 1500 bucks. However, a panzer arms m2 will run you less than 500 bucks and the panzer arms m4 will run you under 600 and will still function as good if not better than the benelli at a mere fraction of the cost. But then again, there’s just some people that act like A-hole brand snobs.
I think every company with mil contracts asks too much for their stuff on consumer market. Same stuff happens with almost all gear companies I know, you can find russian made Crye like G3 uniforms, PCs, etc., made of same materials for half a price(Ars Arma for example). And it's not because of quality, they just know that people will buy cause military guys use it.
Of course Do you think it costs anywhere near 1500 to manufacture? It costs under a 100 to make it more than likely. And acogs used to be a lot cheaper, they used to be 600$ I don’t know why no one else makes a fiber optic activated scope with a radio illuminating element.
Sorry pal, but you are dead wrong on that. The Military ACOG is NEARLY indestructible and contains the tritium illumination for the reticle and comes with the mounted red dot holographic sight atop as well. The knockoff does NOT have tritium or as far as I have seen, the red dot holographic sight. I carried one for 9 years on my back up M4 (I was a B4), it is far more durable than the knock offs and is also designed to be used with NODS, which this knock offs are not. Before you make a blanket statement like that you really should do your research before hand, it will save you from looking ignorant.
If you still have this scope I would be really interested in seeling a follow-up video. I've seen a number of videos on the Fakog but not any follow-up videos after using for a year or longer. Great vid man!
I bought one on amazon a few months back and absolutely love it! I was hitting clays at 164 yards. Its also got a red dot on top. No way Im dropping $1,500 on a sight for my AR that cost $600.
i appreciate you testing these budget parts and i love how you do it. gives regular people options for cheaper parts that are just as good as the more expensive gear thank you alot
That little optic looks like a winner, again proving you don’t have to spend a King’s Ransom to achieve good results. It seemed to go a bit better free-standing on the steel, most shots remained close, with the variable being up-and-down. Yet another good, informative video. Cheers from Down Under.
Awesome test!! I was given a budget ACOG, the more you practice at the range you feel comfortable with, the more efficient you become. I'm still a new shooter be feel comfortable now with 50-100yrds with the budget ACOG.
I’m late to this video but I got one over a year ago. I took it out on a big hike with some friends because I didn’t want to ruin my good scope. I dragged it and smacked it against rocks while climbing steep gorges thinking for sure it broke and ran a carbine course next day still holding zero. 100% blew my mind
Spent 12 years in the army infantry, used the trijicon acog many times and i own this “cheaper” one, except mine has the chevron. Zeroed it in one time, 3000+ rounds later it still holds zero.
I’m going to get one as soon as I can. It’s what I used in the military, obviously used the more expensive back then. I didn’t know there were budget options till I saw your videos.
I need this, i got old man eyes and my 1x holosun is hard to see anything clearly past 100 yds or so. Thanks for the review and all you do. Keep them boys hunting.
Excellent ACOG replacement. "704 Tactical" was going to do his 'water bottle test' on this if he was to ever get a hold of one. Thanks for this test....keeping it real for us. Nice work.
I want to add if you are hesitant about durability- reliability- and user ease. I have had one for at least 7 years. It works indoors as well as outdoors. Never had a failure with it.

Been shooting a "fake-og" for a few years now and have loved it. Even shot it against the real deal and there was no noticeable difference. Mine is an ebay special from about 5 years back vs your pinty but they're pretty much the same. Have had zero issues and it's never lost it's point of aim.
great video. skeptical about that pinty some of their products get no so good reviews but the way you did the video made me a believer. how did you do the camouflage on gun.
I saw your first video on the $80 dollar ACOG ( free shipping too). Ordered it on April 2nd and received it on the 5th. Super clear optic good quality scope with fast shipping. Thank you for your videos.
I really appreciate you doing this video, I've been wondering for a week if that thing would hold a zero. Thanks for the link too, I'm gonna grab one for that price.
Really makes me wanna get another AR and build more of a plinking set up rather than the one I have now that is set up for coyote hunting looks like a awesome little scope!!!! Great video
I was thinking at the beginning of the video "I wonder what his range looks like sitting at 100 yard?" Thanks for showing it! I'm surprised you don't shoot steel from back there! When I went overseas with the military, my M4 had one of the $1500 ACOGs. If I were ever to have to go back, that's the only optic I'd want. Those things are built like a tank, and their reticle is fantastic. Interesting that their is a "knock off" version, hopefully it holds up well for you.
I found one with "Reaper" written on the side of it, with the Chevron Reticle for $100 and it works beautifully. I haven't tested it on my 458 Socom yet though, but if it holds up to that recoil I'd rather buy 10 of them than a Trijicon.
I watched your first video and I did buy/order one of these Bad Boy's also. It got to my place in 5 day's too. I have't got to go shoot with it yet, damn......
I just picked one of these up with the green chevron, it's even got the "company" markings. It even has adjustable eye relief and is optic sharp. We'll see how it holds up to recoil in a week or so when I get a chance to get back to my range. Fingers crossed, but, hey, I'm a realist, you get what you pay for. Thanks for the content brother !

lets be honest, the only reason trijicon wants 1500 for an acog, is because they knew the military would give them whatever price they asked....
Same with EOTechs. There's no reason that shit is STILL the prices they were 15 years ago outside of pure greed.
