World Wetlands Day 2022

On February 2nd, the BCWF celebrates World Wetlands Day! Wetlands are some of the most diverse and productive ecosystems in the world, and Canada has a quarter of all wetlands on the planet. Watersheds and wetlands provide essential food, shelter, and nesting grounds for fish and wildlife, but despite these ecosystems' value, they are disappearing faster than most other natural areas as they are sensitive to change.
