@@RaceCarBrett i found out i just tried what i thought was right and somehow did it but i know where to buy the adapter from incase i change my stereo again ill put the adapter to make it easier next time
Good vid...so did this method bypass the factory amp I keep hearing about? Is this the new head driving the speaks directly or is the 2nd connector involved still with the amp...I have the same OEM head you had...thanks
not all of these trucks had a factory amp, the plugs on the back of factory radio are different. From everything I've read, his truck doesn't have the factory amp. Factory amp vehicles, one of the plugs on the back is more of a square shape. Metra 70-5510 is for Factory amp vehicle 70-5008 is for vehicle with factory amp But bypasses Amp. the one he used is for non amp vehicle I believe Factory amp vehicles had Automatic written on door for tape deck. Of course verify for yourself in case I am mistaken.
@@forgotmylogininfo Great description....I went ahead and bought both harnesses but it was the non amp model, 2 rectangular plugs, 1 for power(dimming is omitted) and 1 for speakers....Fortunately I'm a solder geek so clean, no issues, great sound.
I have the factory amp in my 1992 F150 XLT, I've tried everything and I can't get an aftermarket radio to have sound. I can't even find the amp to bypass it either.
I have an iphone so I went to settings on my phone, clicked Bluetooth, and then it should come up as “CAR BT” then click on that and your phone should be hooked up on it.
This man has a very particular set of skills.....
Very Beautiful Truck
Waylon Jennings!
Question, how do I order the correct harness? I have a 1996 f150 and a kenwood radio that I would like to install.
this guy started to install his truck stereo having breakfast and finish it having dinner, I hope I can do it a little faster
Hey the radio you put a link to is diffrent then the radio in vid
Do you have a video on how to wire everything because I don’t really understand how to do that and can find a video explaining the wire for my 92 f150
Did you buy the adapter for it as well? All you do is just match the color wires.

@@adrianmettz7463 I wish there was a way to keep the dimming feature
You forgot to bend the tabs and the bracket to keep the holder in place!
Mine didn't need it. so friggin snug, I don't know how I'll ever get it out!
@@adrianmettz7463 with the magic of redneckery and ducktape. Try using some big staples and duct tape when you're ready to take the radio out
I got a 1995 f-150 XLT you think that bad boy will fit In my truck?
Yes all the 90s have the same opening

So how long did this radio last? My dad needs to replace his and he doesn’t like spending money
Can you tell me how you connected your phone to the bluetooth ?

Song you played testing out the radio ? Lol
That’s ole Waylon Jennings, friend. Great singer. The song is “are you sure old hank done it this way?”
yessir
Where did buy your plug from?
You can get it from Walmart for $11, just got mine today from there.
If you were going for the most annoying install video you succeeded I just wanted to know how to do, it, dont need any theatrics
Not my fault you’re an idiot
