The Wonder Bar is THE Best Barbell Under 300?! (Fringe Sport vs Rogue)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 8 июл 2024
- The wonder bar is in my opinion, probably the best barbell you can buy for under $300. We'll compare it to other quality Rogue barbells like the Echo 2.0 and Ohio bar but I still think this bar might be the best at that price range.
There's a lot of great options for barbells out there and the Wonder Bar should definitely be on your list of bars to check out. It's one of the only remaining bars left under $300 that has the features, build quality, and warranty of much more expensive bars. Fringe Sport is also a great company that's responsive and their bars have a lifetime warranty. What are you waiting for? Check it out!

I really should've broken this video up better... - Спорт
Ok I asked for it, which barbell is the best general use barbell under $300?
This is an awesome review. I hope PK gets a chance to see this. He’d really appreciate it. Well done Gluck.
Thank you! Someone's gotta notice eventually right?
This was a great video. I have a bearing wonder bar and it has been great! I don’t use it as much as my Ohio power bar but when I do, it’s amazing!
I'd probably mirror that. I use my stainless power bar the most atm but that's just the type of training I'm currently on. And thanks!
When I was barbell shopping, it was between the Wonder bar and Wright Equipment's Next Gen Bar. I went with Wright, and at $225 shipped, it would be hard to beat that for me. It's a really good bar. I'd like to see more people review Wright. But I think if I had gone with the Wonder bar I wouldn't have been disappointed either.
No I can't imagine many people would be disappointed with the Wonder Bar. It's awesome for the price and rivals things that are much more expensive
Dude, I love the innuendo in your videos! Keep it up. I need the laughs!
Thanks! Watch the massage gun, I pushed my luck on that one.
@@GlucksGym I was actually starting to watch it when your comment came back.
It's probably the worst one in that regard
@@GlucksGym Worst?...I'd say best. Nice. Just wondering how many takes were blown due to uncontrollable laughter. Thanks for the laughs.
Most of them are pretty fluid. Though I have trouble anytime Wynie is on screen with me, it's a cluster
Great review. Very similar specs to the Again Faster Team Barbell 2.0
Yeah as I alluded to there's a bunch that are similar. I gave the edge to Fringe because of my dealings with them with other equipment. Another good bar though. And thank you!
Your best intro yet.
I do really like this one
The Stainless Steel Wonder Bar has been on sale this week, and it also comes in at under $300.
Now that's a deal!
I'll be that guy - the Hero Barbell Co. Legend bar is a better bar for under $300 shipped. Keep up the videos, it's good stuff!
Ohhh that is a good one. I'll admit I actually forgot about it. Hmmm I'll have to get my hands on one for a comparison! Though they are a fairly new company so I can't give them the edge I'll definitely test it out
My uncle said the Bells of Steel Power Bar should be on that list. They are $219 with free shipping. Mine was $196 before prices when up.
Rogue Boneyard is also a great value as long as you don’t mind a different end cap or possible blemish. Power bar or Ohio bar for an all a round bar.
@@carps_gym true. I didn't count boneyard as officially under 300 bars since they're not the original version and aren't manufactured with the intent to be under 300, but I do own one and you're right, amazing deals.
Hey the list wasn't complete it was a joke! Funny you mentioned that one I thought about reviewing it too
I bought this bar a few years ago and it has been great. Love it.
Glad to hear it!
Always room for more innuendos
I figured every video can't be we bad as the massage gun one
Do you think it's necessary to have a center knurl for squats? I know you said it's a preference but do you feel it slipping on your back when you squat?
I'd say it depends on what lifts you're doing with the bar but purely for squats I don't squat without a center knurl anymore. If you only have one bar and are doing a lot of Oly lifts or something it's a harder decision.
My wife's in the other room while I'm watching this. All of a sudden, I hear her ask 'What the @#*^! are you watching?!?!?!" LOL!
Hahaha sorry! Don't watch the massage gun then, makes the rest look conservative.
@@GlucksGym Oh she's already watched that one. Which may explain... nevermind
I often debate how far to push it but honestly Wynie comes up with some of the worst stuff and I dial it back
What do you think of e coat vs black zinc. Bout to get an ohio power bar and I've used the black zinc variant for a few years at my old gym but have no clue how the e coat feels or holds up. Thanks for the content my dude!
I like e-coat better but they'll both wear down but what doesn't? Zinc seems to wear the fastest
Appreciate you brother
Any difference in the black zinc quality and how it's wearing between the two bars?
Between my Echo (few years old), the Ohio (1.5 year), and the wonder bar. All seems to wear the same, black zinc isn't the hardiest of finishes but if you're kind to it it's not bad
@@GlucksGym thanks. Good info that it's pretty much par for the course between the brands.
20kg Stainless Wonder Bar is on sale for $260 right now
Damnnnn stainless! Just posted that a few hours ago on our IG
Any thoughts on the luxiaojun e1/m1 bars?
Similar bars tbh. I should've probably put it in this video but black chrome comes off on the hands (when I played around with it awhile ago).
Interesting video, and for me that only owns one bar, it begs the question. Why do I need/want more than one?
So if you are looking for video ideas, I would love to get your take on that.
I am not talking about speciality bars like a hex or safety squat bar, it is just about owning more than one general purpose bar.
Furthermore, if I have one of these, why do I need a power bar, deadlift bar etc?
Thanks for reading :)
Great idea and I've been mulling over how I want to do a similar idea so this is helpful for me. I'd probably say most people can get away with one bar (or two power vs general). But, look at enough home gyms and that's not the case. I'll put it on the list, thanks.
Who is a stainless barbell for? I want one just cause they look fantastic, but I’m mainly curious how they hold up vs others
It's an outstanding finish because it's most resistant to rust and very durable. Least maintenance and by far my favorite finish. It also fills in knurling less than a lot of other options.
Awe Flashback to good ole G-Gym
I died when you read the review
I forget what I do/say in these and then someone will mention it and I'll have to look back but this one, I remember 😂
Any stainless steel power bars without ribbed sleeves you'd recommend?
Fully stainless?
@@GlucksGym yes plz lol
@@CVNTGETENOUGH www.fringesport.com/collections/barbells/products/20kg-stainless-steel-wonder-bar-olympic-barbell
It's on sale for $288.
@@Mariners4405 would the bearing sleeves be good for Power lifting?
@@CVNTGETENOUGH you would prefer Bushing sleeve collars for powerlifting. It matters most once you're lifting 300-400 lbs reps. But for general home gym lifting the wonder bar will be a great choice. That's what I'm buying.
Good ole GGyM
Haahah. The intro still gets me
I bought a Dicks set of fitness gear barbell and plates because that is all I
Could find during the pandemic, heard great things from many sources
About the wonder bar....hope to upgrade soon, in the interim when I do
Upgrade need to decide whether to buy the stainless steel version or not
Sometimes they'll run a sale on the stainless and it's about $300. I think if I went back I'd go stainless either way. The Dick's set is great for a starting set, the weights are cheap. The bar... we bent one but it was fun to beat up haha.
Reviews:
★★★★★ 5 stars for import bar
★★★★★....★★★★ 50 stars for the one made in USA
Haha yes!
i could just listen to you say knurling all day... knurling...
You should join in on my OnlyFans. It's an ASMR where I read gym terms for hours on end.
More cash than ever since price went up
No BendBell Bar? There were so many potential wood jokes...
I still haven't figured out how far I can and should push the jokes
Jan 17. Fringe sport has the Stainless Steel version on SALE for $260. Lowest price I have ever seen.
Me too, posted this on my IG story earlier today
@@GlucksGym Do I really need a 7th barbell??? I bought 5 barbells this year. I exceeded my budget by almost 2k. (No Ad revenue). Next 3 barbells, Boneyard Deadlift, Rogue SS Power Bar, Open Hex Bar.
@@Mariners4405 seems like you have a list with a few more 😂
@@GlucksGym
1st barbell, Dicks Beater Bar
2. Boneyard Echo
3. Titan MultiGrip
4. Titan Hex Bar 7ft
5. Luxiaojun Olympic
6. Boneyard Cerakote Power Bar.
You can NEVER have enough 7ft steel shafts in your home.
Just tell your wife specialty bars don't count and you can definitely get a few more before the divorce
Ribbed sleeves you say.
Some prefer it that way
@@GlucksGym 😉
China made barbells sucked 12 years ago but now they're making nice ones please check out luxiaojun barbells under $300. I upgraded to stainless steel rogue ohpb. God bless murica! 😂
They have a few under $300 that are really good bars! Honestly a ton of competition.
I got mine from Titan for $100😂
The Titan economy bar?
@@GlucksGym yeah! I didn’t go for super high quality because we were on a budget. I like these videos because I can see other brands to help me compare for future purchases 💪🏼 good work bro
That's your main bar?! Omg how long is the drive I'll give you my old echo lol
@@GlucksGym hahaha yes sir😂😂😂 it’s held up well since we aren’t big on powerlifting . Not sure I’m the Illinois!
@@LukesGarageGym only about 16 hours. Probably worth it 😂. I'd say it's more everyday than power lifting. The knurling is too mild for that. I'll try to get my hands on some other bars so you've got a good idea when you're finally ready
FIRST
Not all heroes wear capes
Stainless steel will last forever though. Unless you're lifting on a beach or something.
