  • *Fringe is fully aware of the problem and are investigating it right now.*
    If you had purchased one of these bars and found yourself hating the spin, your bar might have the same problem mine did! It's worth taking a look inside and it's an easy fix that anyone can do!

    Joel, you always do an amazing job. Here's the skinny: We found a manufacturing error on a small number of the Midas Revenge bars. This is what led to rust on some bars inside the sleeve. It is fixed and all bars shipping out are corrected. Of course, we stand behind all Fringe customers and all Fringe products and we have been reaching out to the affected customers to offer them a free replacement, or a few other options (whatever is easiest for them). - PK (CEO of Fringe Sport)

      Hello Peter, so the normal midas bar would have entire bar cerakoted coated from each end correct? if the bar isn't fully coated correctly it will rust for sure. Please let us know when you get the chance. I was going to purchase one but the price went up already.

      @@MetalsForBrunch Don't buy it. It's 2022 and I just bought it and this thing still spins just as bad! It also arrived in horrific thoughtless packaging with one end completely scratched up and to boot it was clearly not new and from the returns department!! They are still trying to unload these on an unsuspecting public, just pitiful. Never liked or trusted the Fringe name anyway.

    Great review. I like the objective and informative points you make, plus you actually perform the movements that the bar is intended for. IMO you are the best bar reviews on YT. It blows my mind that GGR reviews the same bar, but basically reads the stats for the site and still manages to get more traffic 🤯.
    On another note. How’s the knurling feel on the shins. I then to keep the bar close on cleans and snatches? Will it take skin off?

    • @AMRAP
      @AMRAP  2 года назад

      Really appreciate that!
      The knurling will definitely give you some nice racing stripes if you keep it too close. I’ve done worse with less aggressive knurl than this.

    Wow…that rust really blew my mind. Thanks for posting this video. I haven’t really bought from Fringe much-is there a general concern with quality or would you conclude this is a unique situation? I’m assuming the latter, since I’ve heard their name around, and this is pretty nuts for a brand that’s known.

      @user-bn1gl1xv2m saw you deleted your comment, but no worries. I checked and we changed the manufacturing method on these so rust *should* never be an issue. That said, would love to see what you are experiencing and help you out. I will note that the only recent issue our CS has seen about a Midas bar was a shipping damage issue and the initials of that customer don't match yours. Again, want to help you out but need a lot more info to do so.

    This is the 2nd vid I’ve seen with rust in the inner sleeves on a new Midas Revenge bar,. There’s no excuse for such poor QC. Looks like Fringesports got some explaining to do. Otherwise it’s a great looking bar, but considering the inherent rust and poor spin, it might as well be a gold colored Daewoo sitting on the driveway. Aesthetics can’t trump poor quality control and performance.

      I don’t believe this for a second. I started my home gym almost exclusively with FringeSport equipment as I began with a very strict budget, and while I’m not above 400 in any of my lifts, everything has held up amazingly and not once was I concerned with safety or longevity EXCEPT on the Midas bar and the lengths they’ve gone to not only remedy, but to also take responsibility for their one shortcoming is above and beyond any experience I’ve had with Titan. They’re not the powerhouse Rogue is, but they’re legit, as evidenced by PK’s statement put out today on the bar. Anyways, thanks PK and the Fringe team for being solid well beyond the sale 💪🏾
