They were friends. When Lemmy passed Ozzy did a interview and told funny stories about them. He said Lemmy was such a true friend that always knew when you needed him. He said they wouldn't talk for sometime but then just when Ozzy was down or something bad was going on, there would be a knock on the door and it would be Lemmy.
One of my favorites! And this 30th anniversary mashup version sang by two absolute legends who wrote it! Crazy to believe Lemmy has been gon for almost 10 years..
Ozzy and Lemmy co-wrote the song with Zakk Wylde, but Ozzy recorded first in 1991 and Motorhead in 1992. This version with both singing was released in 2021 if I'm not mistaken. I heard the Ozzy version first from No More Tears and have always preferred it, but you can't complain about both singing.
Lemmy & Ozzy recorded t on both their albums Ozzy "No More Tears" Motorhead "March or Die" album. You're hearing both recording.Motorhead's version was for a horror movie franchise "HellRaiser"
I think this mashup is unbeatable but they should definitely checkout the individual versions by ozzy and mötorhead respectively as separate entities 👍 🤘
I've been jamming to this song from Ozzy's No More Tears album for decades - never knew this version existed!! Loving the collaboration between Ozzy and Lemmy - thanks for a new addition to my music collection!!
Lemmy wrote the song and several others for Ozzy’s No More Tears album and Ozzy sang it, Motörhead performed the song and had a music video for the movie Hellraiser 3: Hell On Earth, and this is the 3rd version with both of them
2003 back stage Van Andle arena Grand rapids Michigan I worked crowd control I went back stage smoked weed with reigning prince of darkness didn't break my heart at all lol
That bass is played by the legendary Bob Daisley, Ozzy's go-to bassist and/or lyricist between 1980 and 1991. The music here is from the 1991 Ozzy original, co-written by Lemmy. A year later, Lemmy was contacted by the film team behind the upcoming "Hellraiser III", who wanted to feature the song on the soundtrack but didn't think Ozzy's version was tough enough. So Lemmy re-recorded it in its definitive version with Motörhead - coincidentally the first song they recorded with their longest lasting, Swedish and final drummer, Mikkey Dee. Oh yeah - the video for the Motörhead version is awesome too.
Okay, Amber, here you go for Friday: if you like 80/90 rock, please check out anything from the Warning!!! All Female band that is absolutely amazing...I recently discovered them and saw them in Boston last month...obsessed! :-) A good start could be the live MTV VMA performance of "Evolve". They are VERY good live.
Ozzy & Lemmy, it does not get better than that! Both awesome legends and will be heard forever. More Ozzy, do Over the Mountain, more Motorhead, do One Track Mind. Rock On! 🔥🎵🎤🎸🎶🔥
The Monks are a fun band from England that deserve a listen. Try I ain't Getting any, or Drugs in my Pocket, or Love in Stereo, or Out of work Musician, or Johnny B. Rotten, or Nice Legs, Shame about her Face....
Motorhead are both a heavy punk band and a heavy metal band. They got labelled as heavy metal but have the raw sound of punk. Overkill is my fav Motorhead song.
Thanks! Hey i know alot of the older rockers here say that todays music doesnt compare to the 70's-80's. Well there is if you look. Btw im 64. I think if you check out a band Skull Fist. They are a young Canadian band. The song i really think you will like is better late than never. It was my introduction song to them about 6 years ago. Amber you will love the drummer! Heres another 10
Cool I had not heard this collaboration before. Yeah I have not seen that Motorhead reaction, that could certainly be a tough one to start with. Lol Glad you have come around and grown your musical taste Amber. :)
This version is badass! Much as I love Motörhead, I’ve always preferred Ozzy’s version on the No More Tears album, but this mash up truly gives you the best of both. God, I miss Lemmy. Motörhead was truly one of the best bands I ever saw live. This made my evening. Sorry I missed it when y’all released your reaction, but better late than never. 🤘🏼
Interesting! I hadn't yet discovered this particular version of this song with the duet vocals from Lemmy. The song itself as it appeared on the original "No More Tears" album from Ozzy has long been one of my favorites. Nice pick!
Motorhead is one of my favorite bands. I love both versions of the song. The first time I heard the song was when I watched the film Hellraiser III: Hell On Earth. Hellraiser is one of those horror movie franchises that struck a cord with me. I can say I did catch Motorhead in concert. But the No More Tears record which Ozzy’s version of Hellraiser appears is one of the best rock records of the 90s specifically for the time frame when grunge was seeping through the airwaves & Hard Rock & Metal was a bad word.
Omg yes!!!!!! Been waiting so long for y’all to react to this! I cried a little first time I watched it seeing all the Easter eggs like lems bass and amp head Murder One. Really lost it when Philthy Taylor showed up. Thanks for this reaction guys.
Jay and Amber, you guys want to check out some nasty guitar work listen to Cry of Love, songs off the Brother album!! Kick ass 90's songs to start: Highway Jones, Bad Thing, Carnival, Peace Pipe!! The Brother album was so good!!! Rock On!!
Lemmy was a big fan of the band Girlschool and played a big part in getting them signed. My favorite album by them is Hit and Run, and either of the first two songs would be killer for you all: Come On Let's Go and The Hunter. Great stuff from a band that never quite made it here in the USA. Also, the bass in that video (Born to Lose, Out to Lunch) is the one depicted in my Lemmy statue that sits on my desk! I'd include a pic but I can't...
I saw Girlschool on their Hit and Run tour and managed to have the tour program signed by the band after the gig too. Somewhere round here I have the 12'' record of Please Don't Touch. Great days.
I luv that both Gods of Rock Ozzy & Lemmy wrote the song. They both have their own versions on their albums. It’s so fitting they have the duet version. ROCK OUT!!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
This was rocking! You can see Lenny in the song "I Wanna Be A Cowboy" by Boys Don't Cry. I suggest Go West--Call Me (1985). I suggest the film Hellraiser for Halloween.
Amber, here's a great October female Friday request for you! You and Jay both will absolutely love this one! *Last Night I Had a Dream - Fanny | The Midnight Special*
I am a huge motorhead fan. I was blown away by them live. My favorite Motorhead song, and I am probably alone in this, is "Orgasmatron" which is totally not what it sounds like. You should check it out, but I would suggest a lyric video, because the lyrics are what make that song. If you want to check out the softer side of Lemmy, "Whorehouse Blues" is a good one. That one is exactly what it sounds like. Also, I would recommend Probot's "Shake Your Blood" which is Lemmy wiht Dave Grohl (drummer for Nirvana and frontman of Foo Fighters).
Motorhead songs to check out - Killed by Death, Damage Case, No Voice in the Sky and I'm So Bad Baby Ozzy songs - Facing Hell, Mr Tinkertrain, I Just Want You and Over the Mountain
My first ever experience of Motorhead was at the Boathouse in Norfolk,Va. i was so scared to be there especially when i saw the Mosh Pit but damn,! peeps were fun and didn’t try to hurt or maim or kill. Best metal i was intro’d to
OK hear me out. I haven't heard this song in years but something about it just struck me and I had a thought. It was that bass line. There was something about it that reminded me of a song I had heard recently. I think it was Automatic Sun by The Warning. Those three ladies are one of the best things going in rock currently. Now I can't stop thinking about how amazing it would be for Ale and her sisters to cover this song. Am I wrong here? I'd be happy just to see them make a Female Friday appearance especially since Jay and Amber love the hard driving rock so much and that's what The Warning is all about.
The song 'Hellraiser' by iconic rock band Motörhead is an anthem that celebrates the itinerant and wild life of a rock star. The lyrics describe the relentless journey 'on a never-ending road', symbolising the continuous tour around the world in search of the adrenaline rush that rock and roll provides. The protagonist of the song acknowledges that this life can be tough ('Sometimes it feels so tough'), but admits that he still hasn't had enough ('But I still ain't had enough'), highlighting the insatiable nature of his passion for music and life on the road. The chorus of 'Hellraiser' evokes the image of someone who lives on the edge, defying convention and provoking an intense reaction from the audience ('rock you back in your seat'). The expression 'I'll put a spell on you' suggests an almost magical power that music has over people, capable of hypnotising and transporting the audience into a state of ecstasy. The song also addresses the tension and anxiety that accompany live performances ('Nerves wound up too damn tight'), but at the same time, the narrator is indifferent to the potential damage to his health, preferring the intensity of the experience to the comfort of complacency ('kicking back don't make it'). Through 'Hellraiser', Motörhead captures the essence of the rock spirit: rebellious, untamed and eternally thirsty for more. The song is a tribute to those who live for the stage, for whom light and noise are the fuel that keeps the flame burning. It is a celebration of the identity of rock and those who embody it, the true 'Hellraisers' of music.
Notice that their van has "Mr. Crowley" painted on the side. That's a great song to react to from Ozzy's first solo album. Especially in October! There a good live version, but I suggest the studio one. Enjoy! 🤘
Lemmy plays the bass like a guitar player like what Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath does. I wish I would have met Lemmy. But everyone I spoke to who knew him told me what he was like on stage he was off stage. Imagine going drinking with those two..
@@m4r4d0n4p3l3I'd be dead from alcohol poisoning. No way could I keep up with them😂
I know I would not survive!
Born to raise hell should be your next listen for motorhead
Agreed. I also wish they would do Lost in the Ozone. Slow, broody Motorhead doesnt get enough love. Plus, bass solo.
Two of the most distinctive voices in rock and roll
One of my favorites! And this 30th anniversary mashup version sang by two absolute legends who wrote it! Crazy to believe Lemmy has been gon for almost 10 years..

I only knew Ozzy’s version. Love it! Love OZZY! Great reaction!
@@shelbyatwell5883 I only knew Motörhead's version. Didn't know Ozzy had anything to do with this song. Lol.
I first heard it on No More Tears and on the No More Tours tour live back in '91. I still have the ticket stub. Sacramento, CA
Ozzy is more of a melodic rock, Lemmy is more metal. None of that surprises. Mix them together though it's amazing.
A ghost singer in 21
Motorhead Orgasmatron is 🔥
The live version from Brixton.
It is, Sepultura does an amazing cover.
A good comment Ine of the heads best and so Zietgiest.. The words in Orgasmatron live true . Yo
Every time I hear Amber say that we've converted her to metal my mind hearkens back to the face she was making throughout the Painkiller reaction. 😄
That was the WORST possible song to introduce her to Judas Priest!
Lemmy & Ozzy recorded t on both their albums Ozzy "No More Tears" Motorhead "March or Die" album. You're hearing both recording.Motorhead's version was for a horror movie franchise "HellRaiser"

Ozzy and Motorhead teaming together is like a metal mashup fantasy. Come true. Lemmy was one heck of a bassist.
I've been jamming to this song from Ozzy's No More Tears album for decades - never knew this version existed!! Loving the collaboration between Ozzy and Lemmy - thanks for a new addition to my music collection!!

The original (just Ozzy) version of this song was what got me into Metal. I first heard it in GTA San Andreas.
You guys have the best reactions 🙌🏻😊
Amber ROCKS out! ❤️
The all Motorhead version of this song was released in the early/mid 90's with the release of the Hellraiser 3 movie.
The band Sweet have a song also called Hellraiser which is different and a great glam rock track.
Lemmy had also worked with a girl band Girl school - Dance with the devil in the 80's ! xx
The Monks are a fun band from England that deserve a listen. Try I ain't Getting any, or Drugs in my Pocket, or Love in Stereo, or Out of work Musician, or Johnny B. Rotten, or Nice Legs, Shame about her Face....

it's a mash up of two versions of this song; released with credits to Lemmy on No More Tears by Ozzy in 1991, 1992 by Motörhead on March Ör Die.
I love how open to all genres and can appreciate all music for its art and meaning. Keep on rock and Big Love from Jay Oklahoma

One of the most bad ass songs ever and I can never turn it up load enough
Check out Motorheads collaboration with Girlschool "Please Dont Touch". It's freakinf amazing

Very good music!
Check out Zakk's bang Black Label Society live song In This River. Badass. R. I. P. Dime.
"Ordinary Man" by Ozzy with Elton John is a great one.
This mash up is good. Both versions are great on their own
Been to more concerts than I can count but I have wanted to go to Rocklahoma forever
And it's crazy cause it's only one state away from me
Come out to Rocklahoma next year! Would love to bump into you two!
Two giants of metal and an iconic and classic tune. What else to say? R.I.P. Lemmy

Some Real Hard-Rockin' right there! Great Reaction, You Guys! :)
Ozzy recorded the song first and then Motorhead did a cover
Lemmy wrote this song with Ozzy and Zak (but we all know who wrote it)
Ozzie Osborne a legend
This song is all about being a rock god. Which Ozzy and Lemmy BOTH are
No. Lemmy is. Ozzy is a hanger-on who parasitized on other people's talents for his entire career.

Just a wickedly good song. There is another video out there with Lemmy playing chess with Pinhead.
Gotta do "I ain't no nice guy" by these 2. That one is mind blowing.
Out of The Sun - its a great Motorhead song. I saw amazing fan video with footage from a retrospective of films about Zatoichi on RUclips.
