The best part of SCP is that it's basically open source storytelling. Just about anyone can contribute to it and the community votes on what becomes canon to the story.

@@thefoosterchannel SCP Containment Breach being popular for LPers in the early 2010s did a lot to bring an absolutely massive number of eyes to the project that was largely unheard of until then. And there are plenty of harmless and entertaining SCPs that don't make for good survival horror that fall by the way side. Like the "Here there be dragons" box and the Anomalis Rubber Duck.
Every now and again I just go down the rabbit hole and discover brand new SCPs. Some of my favourites are SCP-2935 and SCP-001 'S. D. Locke's Proposal'.
The disadvantage of that is the fact that you have a lot of bad scp and stories ^^

Just a little correction. The SCP-5000 doesn't posses the wearer. The SCP itself is mainly the recording inside the suit's "archive", which document the SCP Foundation going rogue and declaring a war against humanity.

The most scariest part of 173 is the fact that it tries to break line of sight instead of going from A to B

@@ligokleftis what im trying to say is that instead of going in a A to B line to kill the player peanut looks for routes were it can flank the player ( there was one time i was in the ai test map and i was playing with peanut, i lured him in squared room with two exits, he was in one of the exits and i was in the other and when i tried to open the door instead of going in a line to kill me he went outside of the building and killed me from behind, that shit was really scary tbh)
1) Fooster, imo, you are the funniest gamer on YT. 2) 173B is the freakiest SCP I have ever seen. After you found it, died and then it had disappeared, I don't think I took 1 breath until you lost your final life. I swear I almost blacked out LOL.

There’s a lot of video games within the SCP universe but I think it’s an untapped gold mine for some movies to be produced.

one thing to note about this game, and the reason why you sometimes were constantly running out of bullets in your mags when youve been running fine for a bit, this game isnt like most games, where you have a total ammo count it draws from, in this you get a few mags per box of ammo you pick up, picking up more boxes it seems to just waste the boxes, and reloading does NOT refill that magazine, so whenever you reload a mostly spent magazine, you will eventually load that same mostly spent mag back in, having far less bullets than you expect, you see your mags in the bottom right whenever you reload, try to conserve ammo and reload less, would save you from a lot of blacked mag death click scares (when your mag runs out of ammo, and the trigger pull just clicks, as theres no ammo in the gun), i enjoy when games do this method of ammo management, it adds complexity and discourages reload spam, it gets tedious sometimes, but its a nice change of pace compared to other games, its a very, very good practice to check the ammo management of a game, whether its a "8/40" type thing, 8 rounds in the mag, 40 in reserve, or mag based like this one, where reloading might actually end up leaving you with less ammo than the mag you had in

This is a game where teammates are quite important. I'd highly recommend playing in a group since it gets even more difficult as you get further in.
Gun animations and audio is fantastic especially love when a game gets reload animations correct like not racking or pumping when there’s still a round in the chamber when you reload
It's worth noting that, during the events of SCP-5000, the foundation started releasing SCPs into the wild, to aid in the destruction of humanity. 5000 is one of my favorite stories on the site, VERY MUCH worth reading. It's got this real "apocalypse roadtrip" vibe to it, that i just can't overstate my love of. Another great one is SCP-2935

The soda machines heal for very little. You almost don't notice any healing but there is. Also the amount healed depends on what soda machine you use. I believe the green one heals more than the red one.

The way that scp-098 moves through tight spaces like doors is so realistic and the game is still in early acces. The full release will be amazing
Also the Ammo Boxes, I believe one box replenishes all of your ammo for all equipped guns.

It is terrifying how fast that nasty lil neckbreaker is. Just a pipe passing between you and it was enough to get it scooching several yards closer.
I just read up on scp-5000, and I got the impression that it was a suit from an alternate universe where the Foundation "became the bad guys" (but maybe saving mankind? not sure? existentialism, yes please?).. but the suit basically just "keeps the user safe": don't need food, water, sleep, and while people can see it they don't "recognize" it or retain awareness, etc. Wheel of Time "grey man" kind of thing.
Although the run in with Dr. Bright implies you still need it, so you may ending up a walking corpse that can't leave the suit or will die, eventually.
The memory loss and not being sure what he's doing I think was from his interactions with SCPs after the apocalypse, specifically the memory wiping, definitely not round, 055. Lol.

I'm getting a F.E.A.R vibe, F.E.A.R used to be one of favorites as well as "The Suffering" The Suffering boy was that a game, It's terror at the most obvious levels straight up digs into your subconscious and preys upon your inner fears The Suffering is more than scary it's downright disturbing. The suffering is something you should definitely play to this day it still holds up
I love how the 45 acp in the 1911 makes their heads explode while the 9mm in the p320 and mp5 doesn't

My favorite anomalies are the deer or the flesh that hates. The deer because it can escape easily but arbitrary ritual keeps it subjugated and the flesh that hates bc the pure horror.

Canted sights and optics are typically used in a situation where your main optic is magnified, like a scope (or likely an LPVO for an AR platform rifle). Otherwise it's very redundant. Made me chuckle a bit, thanks for the humor man.

The terrifying part of those starting mission descriptions, is that things like "making preparations to attack civilian settlements in the Midwest" is absolutely something the SCP Foundation would do... because if they're not prepared to do something like that in very specific scenarios of containment breaches, it could lead to the annihilation of the country, continent, world, solar system or even the galaxy. There is some insane sh#$ they're keeping locked up for the safety of the entire world, not just a single nation. Nitpicking their methods and how far they're willing to go and just up and deciding to upend the whole Foundation could very well lead to the end of all life if they/you-the-player succeed, and that's chilling to realize you're a heroic force acting unknowingly for the sake of the greater evil.
This is based on SCP5000, during which the Foundation turns evil and tries to exterminate humanity

I'm not a big fan of spiders either, but the most part of the arachnid I hate are the eyes. They creep me out. Heck, all types of bug eyes give me the creeps.
I do like the supernatural, although it scares the heebi jeebies out of me, too. And thus I don't like horror games much. But watching people play them is kinda different. So... yeah.

I'm guessing this is a no-brainer, but given your interest in the SCP narrative, did you play Control? I had no idea they went SCP with it going in, so it was one of the best surprises ever. That game had such a great vibe.
Control is my favorite non-SCP SCP game. I was so happy to learn they announced Control 2 is in the works.
I didn't know what to expect when I entered the Oldest House, but I certainly did not expect such a strong desire to stay.

Just some advice, when using canted sights the idea is usually to use a mid to long range sight on top with a red dot or other short range sight on the side. Not two red dots lol

You and your friends should play "A Day Out", my friends and I played it a few days ago and it is a really fun cryptic hunting game with story and lore that I feel like you guys would enjoy. Each different creature has its own "case" where you have to go to the location and figure out what happened there.

If you look at the bottom right of the screen there are bars, those are your mags, reloading is just mag swapping for a mag that's more full, It's a mechanic I remember from Insurgency Sandstorm. And it seems grabbing every single ammo box is a bad idea, you're just screwing yourself over if you need to return for more ammo, grabbing one box is enough to completely refill your ammo, grabbing more is tossing that ammo into the void.
Definitely strong Resident Evil vibes. I know the tension and nervousness you feel playing many Re games myself. Anything can be anywhere

You are playing as a UIU agent in this game, which is a fictional branch of the FBI. Also the main writer of this game wrote 2 SCPs that are on the wiki (7555, 7528) that are set in this same universe (They did write way more but those two are the only ones set in this universe), since it is actually set after the reset in SCP-5000.

I stopped playing this game a while ago. It's an amazing game and I love it, but the guy I was playing with.. Well me and him kinda fell out, so I don't have anyone to play it with. And yes, I could play it alone, but it's better with others.
