- In this video I’ll be comparing three of Soft99’s legendary waxes: Fusso Coat, Kiwami and King of Gloss.
I will be showing the prep process using some Soft99 products to decontaminate and polish the paintwork and then the application process of all three waxes. I’ll also be comparing at the finish, water behaviour and chemical resistance of the products.
The Soft99 products used in this video were sent by the brand for an honest review.
Here is a link to my Instagram where I plan to provide durability updates on the waxes: / autocarehq

Thanks for the video. Your presentation is very concise and gives just enough information. Can't wait to see the update on the test panel.
KOG is not the show car wax in Soft99 range. Authentic Premium is their show car wax and it's the highest gloss wax in Soft99 range but with 1 month durability only.
Kiwami is kind of a successor of KOG. Both are hybrid waxes but the key difference is Kiwami Silver and Black versions use carnauba wax along with synthetic resins. KOG Black uses mineral wax as its base wax. The Kiwami white and KOG white both use mineral wax and come in soft paste form. There's not much difference between the white versions. The difference is between Kiwami Silver, Black and KOG Black. KOG give candy gloss like we see from nail polish. Kiwami Silver, Black give Carnauba's deep warm glow.
Also Kiwami is slightly easier to apply than KOG.
Once again another fantastic and informative video Heather
Great video Heather, very informative and relaxing to watch as always. Keep it up!
Cheers I appreciate it!
Great video - You are one of the few you tubers whereby I look forward to your latest videos.
Great comparison and chemical attack test.
Thanks I really appreciate it!
Interesting. I just bought a tin of fusso, and I was going to apply it soon. You actually reminded me I needed to get a bottle of panel wipe.
Super video! I feel more informed about soft 99 products than I have in the past👍🏻
Thanks very much Andrew I'm glad you've found the vid useful!
Hello Heather, another great video,I've always like the Soft99 polish as it seems to be popular, but the other two are new to me.nice review and results.
Thanks very much Steven!
Thanks for the colour chart link, very handy 👍
Another 👍 video from me Heather, as always never a biased review from this RUclips detailer.
Thanks very much Paul!
Hi Heather, Another great video as usual. I use Fusso (new version) and think it has made my car slightly darker after you mentioned that in your video
Hi Heather, another great video. Fusso seemed the winner if just for its longevity, they all looked great. The car looked fantastic 👌
Cheers John! Yeah Fusso seemed to outperform the other two here, only drawback is that it's the most expensive one. I'm interested to see how the durability test pans out to see if it's worth it long-term compared to the other waxes
Another great video thanks just got some fusso dark and the light version can't wait to try them out they look really good products
Thanks very much Dave!
Thanks for the video Heather. Great to see more from Soft 99. They're making some interesting products of late. Although Fusso Coat is an obvious standout for me.
Thanks for watching :) Yep I think Fusso is the one I'd go for as well. It's the most expensive out of the three but the performance here justifies the extra cost I think
I use the Fusso wax all the time, it's last ages, it really is up there with the best, nice video heather.
Cheers Brian :)
Great vid. Nice to see Soft 99 getting their deserved props. I don't why people are not giving their Authentic wax more air time. I know durability is not its strong point but after I used it, think its a great wax for summer if you want gloss over durability.
Keep up the good work👍
Thanks for watching! I'll have a look at that wax!
Very good wax for the money.
I use Fusso in the autumn and early Spring, then King of Gloss in the warmer months.
I have a deep metallic blue Lexus, and it always comes up lovely.
Appreciate your review on these Soft99. I use both fusso and kiwami. Fusso has better outstanding durability, but kiwami gives me better shine on my gold car paint.
Great video which goes to prove Fusso is one of the best value for money products out there . 👍
Thanks for watching Mark!
Cracking upload as always 👍
Cheers Toby!
Thank you for the video Heather. Soft 99 Fusso Coat's hydrophobicity is unrivalled by any other wax in my humble opinion. The other two though were also mighty impressive before the chemical resistance test. It will be interesting to see how they perform over a period of time.
Thanks for watching! Yep all three were impressive I'm looking forward to using them again but it definitely looks like Fusso is king when it comes to chemical resistance
Very good review Heather it looks to be good products
Thanks very much for watching!
Great video Heather, interesting products I will be trying at least one of them out shortly. Thanks
Cheers Stephen! Which one do you reckon you'll go for?
Probably will try the Kiwami in the darker variety as I have a Black car. Thanks again great info 👍
Interesting brand.....enjoyed the vid and wait eagerly for durability results...thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video and awesome products. Used to have a pot my self. Never remember where it went though!!
Thanks very much Jeremy!
Thank you so much for your effort 👍🏼
Hi Heather, I have to say that I think you are amazing, your honest and truthful on every product you test. I so wish you were mobile, I would be you first customer.
I can no longer drive, but love cleaning my wife's car, and no one gets to clean it, maybe you one day, keep up the fantastic work.
I really appreciate that Nigel! I'll give you a shout if I ever go mobile!
@@AutoCareHQ would like that to happen one day
Thanks for this. Iv been wanting to get some for a while but wasn't sure which one. 🙂
Thanks for watching, I'm glad you found it helpful!
Always wanted to pick some water block up. My old tin of Fusso is nearly at an end, so maybe it's time.
Great video 👏
Thank you! I'm very tempted to try water block as well. Let me know how you get on with it if you try it!
Great video, wax is expensive ( I think so) , so seeing the wax 'stress test' was so useful. Reckon I will delve into buying some Fusso wax next. 👍
Thanks for watching :) Yeah Fusso isn't the cheapest but the tin is huge it'll probably last you forever! I do think it'd be cool if they offered a smaller version though at a cheaper price for people who like trying a lot of different products I think it'd be a popular option
The Fusso Coat is fantastic. So easy to apply and so easy to buff off. The results are amazing and very hidrofobic.
I find every soft99 wax very similar! KOG seems to really fill and leaves a super rich finish
Yeah I know what you mean, the application of the products felt quite similar and they all seem to really excel in terms of water behaviour
Hi, just discovered your chanel Heather. Great videos, I have watched a few, and very relaxing seeing you taking care of cars. Next spring I'll try a combo with crystal wax (fullcarx) and DC60 (Hendlex).Cheers from France, i'll continue following you. See you soon in the next videos. Chriss (sorry if some mistakes in the vocabulary )
Thank you very much! I’m glad you like the videos 😊
Fusso has the best durability but not the best shine.
You can top it off with Kwami or Mirror shine for greater shine.
Nice video and great work 👍
Great test Heather, first thing I thought when I saw the foam applicator was crikey that looks a bit robust for spreading wax.
Thank you! Yeah it definitely seems quite coarse I don't think I'd use it on my own car as it's been polished! Someone else has mentioned that it softens up a bit if it is soaked in warm water though so I'll give that a try next time I use it
Thank you for really test
Hi, just wanted to tell my experience with the Wash mist product, i absolutely love how easy it is to use as a quick interior detailer, works well both with a brush and with a MF cloth as well. Looking forward to the test!
Wash mist is great stuff! Thanks for watching :)
Great video
Thanks Mike!
Nice way to test a few relatively quickly, may inspire me to do something similar with all mine 😅
I'd love to see a mega test with your Soft99 wax collection!

Cool video 👍
Cheers Richard :)
Soft 99 makes some of the best VALUES in detailing products. Very effective products for the price and some of the best waxes across their entire range for a very good price. Their "pure carnauba" wax they have has a high Carnauba content for the price and gives incredible water beading. I love their wash soaps, no scents though :( Their interior quick cleaner called "Wash Mist" is a nice light interior cleaning product for most surfaces inside the vehicle and it smells incredible (like a "fresh & clean" scent. I wish they made that one in liter and gallon sizes. I also use their wash sponges for rinseless and bucket washing and they are very soft and work great for lightly soiled vehicles.
They're a solid brand I've tried quite a lot of products now from them that are really up their with some of my favourites! Wash Mist is a great product as well, I used it on my own car recently and it was perfect to tidy it up and get rid of any dust
Hi great video. Im watching in Malaysia.. i wanna ask for tropical weather, hot and dust , which one you suggest? Im prefer shining and glossy in criteria, im thinking about king of gloss + luxury gloss.. does it make sense?
I’ve been using Fusso 99 and the water repellent power is amazing, great value too as you only use a thin layer.
Do like there products and crazy Japanese style marketing labels.
You can still get hold of the OG Fusso Coat if you dig deep enough 😉.
Love fusso coat so much better then a ceramic less effort too
The chemical resistance and water behaviour is very impressive!
Is there a way that is coloured, I have a bright white car, currently use bilt hamber, double wax, but it is so hard to see where you have applied and how much???
Not sure if you've managed to do an update on this test, maybe I missed it but I'm looking for a durable winter sealant/wax and really tempted to give Fusso Coat a go. Thanks for the video anyway. 👍🏾
Just spent 400 quid on Soft 99 products,
50% off, I've probably got a lifetime of waxes and detailing brushes, I got every wax they had, shampoo quick detailer and a 110 detail brushes.
Wow that’s a lot of products! I’m sure you’ll really enjoy using them!
@@AutoCareHQ You know what it's like buying cheap brushes, ends up costing a fortune, soft 99 chemical resistant brushes are great and last.
Meguiar's gold class wax Recommended
I have Fusso and Kiwami. Kiwami smells good!! But yea soak the sponge wring the water out and rub wax on it. I would wipe it after applying wax for 3 minutes. I don’t wait the 5-10 mins.
Still can’t beat the old Fusso for durability.
Surprised that the Fusso had the best darkening effect. Read a test somewhere, where the Kiwami easily beat all the other waxes/sealents; Kiwami has the highest content of Carnauba (except for the Authentic Premium, which is pure Carnauba) of all Soft99 waxes.
Fusso is a tough wax to beat for durability... fun test
It's definitely very tough to beat Fusso when it comes to durability!
Which one had the best shine?
Good shit Heather!
Haha thanks for watching!
Hi heather hope you are well, King of gloss I have used in the winter here in Canada, is very good protection, but you have to remove it almost immediately otherwise is so hard to remove, take care.
I'm very well thanks Jorge hope you are too :) It's very good that King of Gloss has offered some good protection during a Canadian winter that's very impressive!
I have fusso coat on my car. Loving it so far.
Think it’s been mentioned earlier but it’s best to wet the applicator first. However I will confess, I use a soft applicator and find it much better than the supplied one.
Thanks for the tip about the applicator I'll give that a try next time!
Cool
please test the other Soft99 products you got🤘
I've tested most of them now! I used the glaco compound and coating on the last vid and I'm using the glaco cleaner on the next one :) I've got a couple Instagram posts planned for the wash mist and tyre wax as it might be a little while before I get the chance to use them on RUclips
Actually For King Of Gloss, Firstly, The Sponge Need To Be Soaked In Water And Then Squeeze Out The Water, Just Let The Sponge In Wet... Then Put The Wax On Sponge, And Ready To Be Apply... Different With Fusso And Kwami, Both Need To Be Apply With Dry Sponge... I Have King Of Gloss And Fusso, But For Kwami, Im Not Trying Yet... Dont Know If Kwami Also Good...
As per instructions from soft 99, the applicator needs to be first first soaked in water, wrong out the excess. I think that applies for all their paste waxes.
I WANT TO HAVE THIS ARTICLE
Picked up the fusso a few weeks back when I found it on offer, it's on the shelf awaiting the autumn decon. I've just got sigma too, would sigma work as a topper?
I've not tried that combo personally but can't see any issues with Sigma as a topper, I definitely think it'll help to add some slickness
@@AutoCareHQ that's my thoughts too Heather, thanks for the reply. All the best.
from your experience did you notice any difference when changing the applicator ?
I just used the applicator supplied with each of the waxes in this video but all three had identical applicators
Soft99 is one of those firms who don’t have the cheapest prices and often are expensive to get into; however their products are so good that its worth the outlay. Hopefully this new version of fusso will have the same durability as the old one did.
Pizza oven and couch in the background nice 🍕
It's not a bad little setup 😂
@@AutoCareHQ Few beers clean car's a nice way to end a summer's day 😉
Fusso dark is starting to fail on my hood after only 3 months. Claim says 12 months. Must be a bad joke. Did decon wash and came back just a little but still getting weak. Hood was polished clayed and prepped before. Weather has been very hot summer heat and maybe 3 inches of rain in 3 months. Washed weekly with ph neutral soap. I have a whole can left and it's going in the trash.
When applying a wax, I try to be careful not to get any on the black plastics, but I occasionally do and I'm left with unsightly whiteness. As a professional detailer, how do you avoid this issue?
Top video, thanks
Thanks for watching! If you try using some panel wipe or even glass cleaner at a push on a microfiber towel it usually shifts it, especially if you spot it straight away!
@@AutoCareHQ thanks for the advice.
Well we tape the black plastic parts with painters tape off.
Or you you cab prepare/treat the BPP with whatever you take anyway, then the white stuff from the paintjob product will stick never as hard as without.
To clean whitish specks away we use an old toothbrush and some soapwater or siliconex alcohol.
When that isnt working out we use the BPP shiner and the parts get black.
What gives the worst result is clean the BPP with an alcohol then polish the paintjob and get polish onto the BPP then the pores are open for the polish and they take all in!
Never use any Aceton on BPP when they are made from ABS you will ruin it 100%
Happy shining!
@@fearlyenrage thank you for the advice
Fusso Coat is very good, although I have to say that Finish Kare 1000P High-Temp Paste Wax is every bit its equal. I have found these two products to have virtually identical longevity and durability.

Can you multicoat these waxes?
I think one coat is enough to be honest. The instructions don't say anything about layering but I can't see an issue with applying a second coat to ensure the coverage is even
This is really weird. I think something went wrong. Or you samples from king of gloss and kiwami are expired or something.
I have got kiwami on my car. Water behaviour is like fusso coat on your left side of the bonnet.
This is really strange. I applied a very thin layer ! Maybe you over applied?
Recently subbed
I bought fusso 99 for my black gti washed clay bar machine polished used TW black polish with the ceramic in it then applied the fusso it’s Literally only lasted 3months not really impressed with it,think I’ll just stick with my poor boys black wax, great content by the way
You have a orange 🍊 car lol.. black car is a true review
1st from Seattle
Fusso old formula is the best
The original Fusso was one of the first detailing products I ever used and I was blown away with the water behaviour in particular!
Ну понятно, фуссо 12 дольше держится
