She is in the same class, but in my opinion better, than Whitney, Mariah and Celine. She has a higher head voice range than Mariah, but Mariah then has to switch to her whistle notes, which So Hyang does not do. She can, but she just doesn't do it. So Hyang has technique that the others wished they had. Her first vocal coach was Seth Riggs, which was Michael Jacksons coach. She is a Christian singer and sings for Gods glory, and does not care about being super famous, or making millions of dollars. But in her path to just sing for God, she has practiced and practiced and is now one of the best singers, and in my opinion, the best female vocalist on the planet. So Hyang had pneumonia during this performance, so it was not 100%, but just goes to show that she will sing when others will bow out. She has taken such good care of her voice that now at 40 years old, she gets better each year, as other great singers have already gone down hill before they reached 40. She almost never sings a song as it was written. She makes it her own, and usually make s a HUGE production out of a simple song.

So Hyang just have too many to name. Have you watched all of her live performances on you tube? There are over 100 of them. It took me about 3 years to check them all out.
