I agree. Around 99% of people who watched this performance on youtube liked it also so her remix of this song is on point. There are always few haters because they prefer the original version. I personally think its better than the orginal.

The most touching reaction to the most moving performance!! She performed this song despite the doctor's advice not to even speak because she had severe pneumonia. In fact, she went to see a doctor right before she sang it. Her illness, ironically, might help her express the emotions better. The photos you took with your dad make my eyes get misty. You have good memories with your dad and I envy it 'cause I don't. I don't even have a photo with my dad and such good memories like yours... I'm keeping you up with my story. Looking forward to your next video.

Such a moving reaction. Sohyang's voice is here to give us consolation, encouragement and inspiration. Listening to her also reminded me of my parent. Her performance opens the conduit for us to get in touch with our inner thoughts. I am with you completely. So glad you reacted to her masterpiece of the rearranged You Raise Me Up. You would want to know that Sohyang gave this performance against her doctor's advice not to talk because severe pneumonia. It's a wonder how she delivered this stage. Great reaction, thank you! It's good to see someone impressed, wowed, etc. But, there is something special when I see someone touched by a song, like what happened here. I appreciate you're willing to share as well the reason why you relate to the song with your dad. As for Sohyang performance, nothing else I can say. Just the intro alone would be plenty for me to rate it 20/10 lol. That intro can be used in any type of epic movies the likes of Lords of The Rings :) .

Also so you know and understand how impressive this really was, Sohyang had severe Pneumonia during this performance. She was told by a Dr., that same day, to not speak. Yet with weak lungs and a bad throat, she pushes ahead and does this. When he says Thank you at the end, her voice sounded hoarse, and you could see in her face she was a little embarrassed. In an interview after, she was very hoarse. I don't know of anyone else that could sing that cleanly and be as sick as she was. I don't know of anyone that sings that cleanly on a good day. She is a once in a lifetime singer, and right when we all need her.

She is telling her story through this song. She was suffering with pneumonia at that time. Doctor said not to sing but she sang with faith.

Pop singer So-hyang completed an all-time performance with world-renowned producer David Foster in his performance celebrating the 30th anniversary of Blue Note.
At a concert held in Blue Note, Tokyo, Japan from November 30 to December 3, Sohyang won MBC's 'I Am a Singer' program and won a number of hits including 'I Have Nothing,' 'Oh Holly Night,' 'Bridge over Trooved Water,' 'I Will Always Love You' and 'Stevever.'

Your reaction to this song is one of my all-time favorite reactions. I've seen it before but it popped up again and I had to watch it. Very emotional. My dad passed away a few years ago to. Very difficult even though I know he went on to be with the Lord and that I will see him again someday. And I know that from some of the interviews I've seen So-Hyang do, the holy spirit is definitely using her when she sings the songs. She relies greatly on the Holy Spirit! God bless you Brother!!

I was so touch also the way So hyang deliver this song You raise me up. I also cry. And I'm sorry about your dad I know he was happy right now. Magtatagalog na ako para syo ha naiyak ako nung nagkwento ka ng kaunti sa dad mo Kasi I remember also my mom who past away last April 25,2018 almost 11 years ko sya kasama para alagaan sya she died at the age of 84 nag resign ako para makasama ko sya at Alam ko safe sya sa sobra layo ng opis ko, marami nagsasabi sa akin na my mom raise me up to be a good daughter dahil ulirang anak daw ako, I miss my mom Kasi sya Ang ka-bonding ko everyday, happy memories, advises kahit na I'm 54, kwento palabas. That's why I cry I remember my mom.
