My daughter is the little girl in the hot pink swim shirt that you gave your goggles to. We had a great time meeting you last week. You absolutely made her day! She is an 8 year old breast stroker. We hope you make it back to Greensboro for the US open in December!

But when you're older, >35 years old, it pays to listen to your body, and not push yourself too hard. You still have to go to work in the morning. Don't ignore your body.

Thanks for bringing up the lighting Cody! Us photographers really struggle in some of these facilities with poor lighting, when you get good bright even lighting photos from competitions are so much better!

Cody the difference in the “T”s in the bottom of the pool is because they do short course and long course they can do it facing the audience or they will put the birgh thing in and make it going short course facing the window to the fun pool and have girls one side and boys on-the other side or Warm down would be in the middle of the two competition pools or we warm down in the training pool.
I have warmed down in the new training pool before and I’m going back to Greensboro Aqua Center (GAC) soon I can’t believe I’ll be swimming in the pool that Leah Hayes, Cody Miller, Lily King and Katie Ledecky and more. My experience swimming at my favorite place Greensboro Aquatic Center will never be the same now knowing that your were there Cody!

Thanks for sharing. What a great pool. Had the USMS short course nationals there last summer (after not racing for a long while). Dittos on the advice to "ignore how the body feels" (even applies to old-er swimmers)

GAC is the JFK airport of aquatic centers!
I can’t be believe that the fastest swimmers on the country are swimming at a pool I swam at for a meet loved the pool there was so many lanes I just overall loved the pool. I have also swam in a pool for at least 20 meets that Micheal Phelps and many other greats had swam at in the 2008 Olympic trails.

THANK YOU for a tour of GAC. Would have loved to have seen the yards pools too. I swim down the road at TAC and our outdoor 50-meter pool is almost done! Can't believe we are so blessed to have two such great facilities so close to each other.

Yesterday our main set was 2 rounds of 3 x 300s on 5:10 and the 3 x200s on 3:10 then 5 x 100s on 1:45 in total our main set was 4,000 meters
Never seems to amaze me how uncomfortable you look on camera everytime someone else is filming you!

I was at a high school duel meet and I got in for warm up and I couldn’t see ANYTHING. I missed all my turns and I had to borrow my friends goggles because I was swimming the 500 hahaha

Pool lighting is tough; a lot of facilities do not like putting lights directly over the water because it can cause weird glare issues on the water, plus it is a nightmare to change the bulbs. Someone needs to figure out a good solution to that thought, because a lot of otherwise really nice pools have lighting problems. New business opportunity anyone? 😀
Yard swims aren’t world records if they’re only done in America ffs😂
international swimmers come to usa to swim yards + it is a world record because it is the fastest time swum ever at a given distance.
