    I am former national (french) swimmer going back to the pool after 25 years off..am 55 years old, going to swim in masters. Just resuming training now, so hard.. Thank you Cody for your vlogs, so inspiring and helpful yet funny. Please show your distance day next week if possible :)

    Wow its crazy that he puts so much effort in the recording, even at like 5 in the morning. Like leaving it in the garage and reversing out and then having to get out and get it 😱😀

    I got back into swimming after about 6 years of break. At begining i wanted to die every practise but with your videos that give me motivation now im starting to even get faster than people in my teatm that are swiming for years in this team. I finally see a potential in something im doing! Also I want to get to the gym or to train everyday. Thanks for motivation Cody

      @Abel Tatek I did swim on a team but we had a nice but lazy coach so I never got to swim nationals or regionals even tho when now I see the times that I had then I know I could make nationals. Its really sad. But now I'm swimming and it makes me happy that's the important thing . Thank you for good vibes and good luck to you too sir !

      Yeah i know the feeling, i am the head coach of a local swim team in the netherlands now and i was almost getting beaten by the athletes i am giving training to. I was like: I can't let that happen! So i started to train again, and now after 3 months of training i can outswim them again! The first month or so was so hard to keep pushing through the training sessions, but if you keep a goal in mind you can push through! Great to hear your story! Good luck mate!

    Hey Cody! I started swimming this year and I was never known as a good swimmer. I was always more of a hockey guy but I gave swimming a try. After finding out that the environment on my swim team is so fun and infectiously fervent, I went out searching for some fun youtubers to watch. After watching your videos I got inspired to hit the gym and really work on my form, and I hope to make you proud in saying that I started out swimming around a 22.5 second 25, yeah pretty bad. But after about 4 months I have dropped it to a 12.7 second average!! Thanks for the inspiration, you've truly helped me out by getting me back into the gym and starting a new passion.

    It would be cool to see a distance set. You show us a lot of really awesome sprint sets and lactate sets, but I think it would be kinda fun to mix it up and see a distance set too!

    When I’m at swim practice and I’m in the middle of a hard set.. I just think Cody Miller wouldn’t give up or slow down. And I push thru! You motivate me to become a better swimmer and person.

    I’m just imagining Cody going back to get his camera after “leaving” for swim. I don’t know if I’m saying this right but he fills himself exiting doors a lot so it’s kind of funny to think he has to go back to get them after.

    I haven’t been doing well in practice lately, and I get really nervous for meets. So when you said that when you get on the blocks that you won’t have any doubt and you now you can do it, i realized that I can do too, I have to work hard in practice each day and if I do, then I won’t have any doubts or fears standing on the blocks. Thank you Cody!!

    Hey Cody, love your vlogs. They always cheer me up. Just wondering how you got through your knee injury because I have posterior ankle impingement and major swelling in my ankles so now have to take 6 weeks off. It’s made me pretty sad and put me down a bit. How mentally and physically did you get through???

      @@bellabarrett7571 Yeah.. during the time i was unable to swim i kept doing landtraining that didnt affect my ankle and when i got back into the pool my timings had obviously dropped but after about maybe a month i was back to where i dropped off.... now its been a year since the ankle and im still swimming competitively

      I had a full blown dislocated ankle from rec volleyball lol. I did it in October I wasn’t back kicking in the pool or running until mid December. I proceeded to have my fastest summer of tries that summer. Trust your coaches. Trust your medical team(doctor, physio who ever else is helping you) you’ll be slower when you get back but it’ll come back before you know it. Just try not to go to much to fast and end up where you began.

    Hey Cody, I was just asking for some advice on the 50 Breast and tips on how to swim it better. I don't know what my stroke rate should be, or how much water i should catch. I have a race in two weeks and it would be greatly appreciated if you could share some advice in the next video on this. Thanks!

      P1K4CHUR3DuX i think you should stay with the technique and form/ basically do what youre doing now for the competition. its never good to try new things at a swim meet. Trust me.

      As someone who goes sub 32 in a 50 br-Go hard and fast especially underwater and on your walls. It’s only a 50 so go insane and leave it all in the pool. Very fast tempo as well. Hope it helps

    Cody you are a frickin; beast and I've been so positively inspired by your vlogs for the past 2 years now that I've come more & more out of my comfort zone with my college team during that time!
    I ONLY HAVE 2 MORE WEEKS OF SWIMMING EVER and I'm kind of sad thinking about it right now ;-(
    Do you have any advice on how to really deal with "the last" moments for an almost a post-college swimmer like myself?
    You got this Cody & keep grinding because all that hard work will pay off when it comes to the Trials!!!!!!!! I'm a distance swimmer myself so I love it right now that you're doing more distance-oriented practices for the polar bear club out there haha

    I've found the best hairbrush is called wet brush. It really helps with the swimming tangles and is in one piece and is really durable. As in the cat has knocked it down from places and it has never broke! Well worth the little bit extra money for a durable brush that can stand up to cats and swim hair.

    I had joint problems pretty bad for the past 4 years. I had to quit swimming along with other sports and it was the absolute worst. I was by far never the best but exercise and sports was a part of my life. My joints are now SO MUCH better and if I work hard I'm hoping to try out for my schools swim team next year. It will take a lot of hard work for the lack of exercise for such a long time but hard work is what I miss. Swim has always been my absolute favorite thing in the world and I hope that I can do it again. Wish me luck🤞

    As a Masters swimmer, I did something *similar* to your Man of Steel (I hope I remembered this correctly haha) week last year: I attended all 7 practices that my club offered from Monday to Friday (without taking time off from my full time job...!). Needless to say, I was toast by Friday evening, but it was so much fun!! I just have one word to say: Enjoy :)

    I've been swimming since I was two and recently when through this massive slump of not wanting to swim and not working to my full potential and then I found your vlogs. They brought back my love of swimming 3x more than it ever was and now I'm back and Polar Bear Club is thriving so thank you so much. You have completely changed my attitude for the better.     Hey Cody! Just wanted to thank you for helping me working on my swim as my weakest discipline in triathlon. I joined the polarbearclub and grind as hard as I could in January. Tomorrow I will be ending my biggest week. Did 13k then, which is a freakin lot for me. Keep it up!! 🤙🏼

    This year was my first year back after tearing my quad playing football. I was coming to more and more practices every week and really started to finally enjoy the sport. Since then I’ve dropped time in everything and getting ready to prepare for senior champs in VA. Thank you for inspiring me!!
