  • → Join me on a flight booked on a whim from Phoenix to Denver! Standby numbers were outrageous to Denver this day and I thought there was no way I was going to get on any Denver-bound flight. This flight is the reason why. It was delayed several hours, so all the people originally booked on this flight bailed to other later flights, filling those up and opening this one up for me! Once it was all said and done, a once oversold flight went out with 67 open seats! We begin this full flight at gate E5 and pushback, headed for runway 25R quickly after. Once full power is applied, we tear down the runway, rotating quickly and ascending out of Phoenix on the MRBIL1 departure to the north east. We get a great view of the entire city of Phoenix as we make the long, sweeping right bank. Once on course, we climb up to 37,000 feet and cruise over Arizona, a bit of New Mexico and Colorado, before initiating our turbulent descent into Denver. The flight crew had the flight attendants sit down early due to the forecasted 'moderate to severe turbulence' on the descent. Watch the wings flap as we force our way down into Denver. The fun doesn't end with the turbulence. The winds were gusting strong our of the north east, so we had a pretty significant crosswind to deal with. We float on down to runway 34R, where the pilot floats the plane, then decides to dip the right wing way down and slam the gear onto the ground, bouncing the plane, and slamming down again, before slowing and exiting on the next high speed taxiway. We quickly taxied to gateB46, where this full flight comes to an end. On a side note, I think the first officer landed this plane because he COULD NOT get off that plane quick enough :) I hope you enjoy this full flight between Phoenix and Denver as much as I did, and, as always, all the flight information you could ever desire can be found below!

Hello! This flight was absolutely in my top 10 flights on United! The flight was empty (giving plenty of leg room), the flight attendants gave full cans of beverages (even though United had already brought back cups) and, the nest part, the flight attendants, in a way of apologizing for the delay, offered all the passengers a free snack box (usually purchased)! I think that was a highlight of this flight! Thanks for watching!

interesting. i have a question. what is the best way to have less kids in a flight? what strategies do you offer to me to have less children as possible?

      Don't fly Southwest :)
But seriously, in my experience, Southwest, being the family-oriented airline they are, tend to have more kids on their flights. On one, there were, get this, 49 lap infants. On my flight. I never even published that video. And never will.
Not saying that other airlines won't have children, but generally speaking, United/American/Delta, being catered towards business travel, generally have less children than lower cost or ultra low cost carriers. Just my experience.
