Nice! Glad to see you sticking to this project!! Tell me a story about a NSU Quickly? 😉
What about rally wheels, tires, lifted, or longer travel suspension, good used shocks, skid plating, cage, big mud flaps, Hella's, and get it rally-capable? You could do historic rally...... 😃 ...Or, at very least, get a chance to show it off, at places like Goodwood, and many WRC events that include the rally legends. It could be made, legit vintage rally car, done to period specs. And I have faith you can do all of it, yourself. Maybe use this winter, drive all over, and make notes about every single thing that needs improvements, to become such a fun, and rewarding car. The conversation you will strike up, alone, is pure diamonds.

THe best part of taking stuff to bits, is when it all goes back together successfully... :D

Really like the comparison between the new parts and the patina of the old. Terrific work as always.

Good progress on Lada! It's gonna be sweet winter car! Getting job done before MOT can get stressful, but you will make it!
I have also prepared my 240 for winter 😄. Did a suspension lift and put nice AT tires. Also did some rust protection to underside.

I see a lot of off-road style cars get painted in stone chip nowadays. How well does it protect against rust? And isn't it a pain to clean?

I don't know... Guess it's more protective than paint when it comes to scratches...
If you want a clean car it's most likely not the best idea... :)

@@SeasideGarage Thanks for the answer. Love your videos, I'm curious as to how this car will end up. I assume you won't go for a 100% factory-spec look.
