I love seeing the personal pieces. It's liberated me to go through my kids save bins to pare it down to the good artwork at that age. I can't get over the list with Mushroom Popsicle 😂
Love your use of spiral and looseleaf ring binders for your junk journals. I love being able to take pages out to do whatever. Happy Shannon gave you a shout out. Carol Martine
Great journal! Lots of great items and its very helpful to see how many different pages you've made. And I actually like the one with the leftover stamp edge. Like little windows into your collage. Also love the children's art scraps.
Hey Margarete - Im such a huge fan of yours . :-) Now if I may add my two nosy cents about that "Window" layout with the stamps? My brain was on overdrive thinking about this. (Amazes me how my brain does that lol) anyways, I says, to myself . that looks like views from several windows in different parts of a house . (Okay, bear with me, then after you read my comment, then you can decide if I need to call the guys in the white coat or not lol) Now, with that out of the way, back to the window : One window (the one with the spice) looks like your looking into a window of a kitchen cabinet , The one with the tree, looks like a view from the backyard of the house , with the bird flying towards it to his bird feeder you put out for him :-) Yes, that tree could very well be in the front of the house too lol (Just saying ) and the ghost looks like a trick or treater coming to the front of the house to ask for candy. Now how's that? I know. Iam dangerous when my brain starts working and I get these odd ideas in my head :-)
Wow! That is a creative interpretation!! But you could be on to something there. I definitely could see a view out to the garden where the tree is. I'll have to play with that idea and see what I come up with. If it's worth showing I'll send you a picture :-) Thanks!
I really like that travel journal! Did you make it? I really like some of your collage spreads and the ones that are actually, the most simple. They are really strong. It's time for me to let go of some of my scraps. It's really hard and I feel so guilty, but I think some of them will never be used. Thanks for sharing!!
I found this journal at my used book sale. It was completely blank so it was a good choice for starting a scrap album. I've got an idea for you regarding using your scraps. What if you categorize some of them into two groups: ones I don't want to use yet, and ones that you are willing to let go of. I really think that once you get going on something -- anything, you'll become more accustomed to using your stash -- precious, or not so precious.
I think that's a good idea. I have a slew of vintage books, but for now they are housed in our summer home. I have lots of coffee dyed laser white paper from
Whoops! So I have all these white paper strips from junk journal projects and I feel guilty about dumping them, but I can see no use to using them. I just have too many. I have a lot of vintage ephemera and stuff I have collected from my travels. It's really hard to part with that. Well, by next week, I will be in decluttering mode. It's a process and hard. Thanks for your response Margarete!
Love your work... I actually like the stamp edges. It looks like little vignettes of the larger collage. It's cool.
Thank you for a great flip through Margarete. I love your Travel themed Gluebook.😍
Lots of good ideas here-very encouraging
Really nice journal. I just requested a catalog for that art magazine!

I didn't save too many bits that my children did when they were small. But I'm glad I thought about incorporating some of it in my art 😉👍🏻💙
Very cool--even the "ugh" pages. 🌼
