I have hoarded lots of images for many years not knowing anything about junk journals etc. Now I can put them to good use. I am amazed at your talent both for creating gorgeous images/journal pages but also the most pleasing way you create junk journals/collages/glue books etc. You have a real talent for composition and color coordination etc. Every page I see, I feel like lingering on it to check out so many gorgeous details. Thanks for this. It was really helpful seeing the process and how you put things together. I've just rediscovered my old childhood stamp collection and am sorting the stamps into colour and themes for use in journals to give them a second lease of life. I forgot how beautiful some of them are.
Hi Sarah, I do sometimes, but rarely. I've got a heavy machine I pull out only when I really am sewing clothes! It's too much bother to change needles, so when my current needle is worn down, I sew papers before I put in a new one 😉
I like that you clean things off in the composition book. I'm sure it continues to get more interesting all the time! May I ask do your u intend to use these pages at some point in your collage? I love the Readers Digest covers. I recently noticed a stack of them in my favorite used book store. Hmmmm...
Thanks for your comments, Pam. I love flipping through those grungy pages in that composition book. There's so much to see :-) I think I will keep the notebook as it is and not tear anything out. I hope you pick up a few of those Reader's Digest books. Not too many though, or you'll start to get overwhelmed with all the work you've set yourself up for.

Hi Debbie, I haven't used the completed pages for backgrounds but I need to start thinking about more creative ways I can use them. The more "life" I can create from them the better!
