Young Spencer - Straight Outta Belfast [Official Music Video] I love the night, I love trains, I've been listening to this song for 72 hours straight! 🦆🌃
Hi G, some beautiful and stunning walking on this video, we have such a lovely country. Always love the trains another place I would love to go,take care!!😎🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🇬🇧💚
Thanks Christopher, was a great day!
Really enjoyed this. And Sheffield-Manchester via the Peak District has given me an idea for travels of my own. Thank you!
I really appreciate your videos
518 like merhaba kardeşim 🌹☕💐🙋🏻♀️👍✅💯
Outstanding G.
I enjoyed watching this with mixture of trains and walking. I really enjoy walking myself too. It's relaxing, good exercise, and helps ease stress and anxiety from things!
I agree! Thanks Reece 😀
What a great video.
Three different walks in one day, GLovesTriathlon, Great Video G.... and I HOPE you did get that early night 😂
Haha thanks Cyber but unfortunately I didn't 😂
Thank you for sharing G
Arrh the wonderful hope Valley line in the superb peak district national park. We'll I would say that having worked as a ranger in the national park for 25 years. Great video and come back soon atb Andy
Thanks. Love watching the videos. Take care.
Love to see some walking being done. I walk almost every day and take the train a couple/few of times a month. I sometimes get off at a stop (break of journey) as long as there is another train within 45 minutes to my destination for the purpose of using their facilities.
Awesome Video G Loves Trains 😄😄
I love the Hope Valley line. I used to live in Derbyshire and rode the line several times going to Manchester and Liverpool. It’s a beautiful line.
❤ love it
Wow, you packed a lot in there didn’t you - looks like great fun :)
amazing stuff i visited Marple when i was doing a GM daysaver or GM DayRanger when i was up North last Month & i walked to the aquaduct which is amazing & Marple is a lovely area & has a lovely station talking about lovely stations i also popped to Romiley station while i was on my way back to Stockport for a break & plan the rest of the day again Romiley is a lovely station too & im loving Edale & the Peak climb looks amazing awesome vlog
Totally love all your vlogs G
You can't beat the Hope Valley line :) Incidentally, my Uncle Harold was the Station Master at Edale in the 1950s before relocating to Scarborough Seemer in the 1960s. At Edale they lived in the big house adjacent to the station and it was a much bigger layout in those days with coal sidings. All the mail and news papers for Barbour Booth used to be brought in by train along with house coal....
Brilliant video G, the peak district is a beautiful place indeed. :)
Hi G - That 158 is going from Liverpool to Norwich via Manchester Sheffield Nottingham and Peterborough.... I used to get that train to go to my parents in Ely...
Great vlog G. Nice walk through the stunning scenery on the Hope valley line. I’ve ridden down that line a few times when I was younger but not since 2015 now lol. I enjoyed watching as always.
Haah thanks Sam!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. School camp was my first time in Edale in 1973, we camped and walked out each day in the area.Your relaxed presenting reminds me it's fun walking out in the Peak District, even when it's raining.
What amazes me is how someone can make this subject so interesting. You have me hooked! Very absorbing and helpful! Keep them coming..
One word G, gobsmacked, the views from the stations were spectacular, but oh my days the walking views were outstandingly beautiful, I too like a good pair of viaducts and today's samples didn't disappoint, in fact your vlogs never disappoint. Looking forward to the next one, stay safe.
Hello G , love your videos, great work, cheers from Australia
Another great vid G .Train and walkie , and a bit of loon too. that`s what we want .cheeeers !.
Great video, I love hope valley
Great vlog, G! I liked the more minimal use of music - it really suited this video. I need to try some circular walks now!
Thanks! And ye they're fun
You just set that bar higher and higher everytime G fantastic walks brilliant area couldn't ask for anymore, bet that got u to sleep easier that evening after those miles trod thanks again for a superb Vblog cheers 👍😊
Absolutely loved this. I loved the walking parts more than the railway parts. You are right about the relief of stress and anxiety when walking early morning. I make it a habit to walk for at least an hour every morning, sets the day off well and I feel great all day. Great vlog G, you are an expert at producing quality entertainment now. Keep at it, love it, Ray xx
Another great video. Ah I grew up in Marple Bridge and my parents still live there so I am there every week. When I saw this video I hoped you might cover this stretch in more detail as it’s often overlooked despite its beauty. There are so many walks in this area including the abandoned line to Macclesfield which you are doubtless fully aware of. I am originally from Sheffield and after we moved I would regularly take the Hope Valley line to visit Grandparents and alight at Dore. Great to see this section finally being double tracked again. It’s a beautiful line with loads to see and do. I believe the film version of Pride and Prejudice was filmed on Stanage Edge, though tricky to feel like Elizabeth Bennet when it’s blowing a gale ☺️
I did that Romiley to Marple walk with my Dad about ten years ago. I'd just bought a canal boat so I was pointing out ones that looked like mine. You even walked past the place where we stopped and had our butties!!
You missed popping in that Co-op you walked past in Manchester!
Canals, train's, scenery what a wonderful way to spend a day, really interesting great video again ✅✅👍👍
What stunning scenery you had on your walk - I'd love to do something like that one day. Plenty of trains, a canal, and a few small hills...! I do find that going for a walk out in nature does take you away from your worries for a bit.
I went down this very scenic railway about three years ago. The train was a two coach old DMU set with horrendous diesel smells and really old seating. If this video is typical of the service nowadays with better carriages and more of them a revisit maybe on the cards. David
I've had a lifelong interest in railways but I also find the canals and their history to be very interesting.
Hey gg I love you so much you are amazing at everything you do I live around the area and it’s so nice and it’s nice to see you down here love you xxxxx ❤❤❤❤❤
Hi GlovesTrains. This looks like a good day out with a good mixture and I hope the others have been inspired to do the same.
Amazing video G there is absolutely loads of interesting walks in the peak district
Lots and lots!
What a smashing day out.
Particularly loved the canal.
Another amazing video G” just so enjoyable and relaxing to watch, with beautiful scenery, Edale wow!!! ☺️ and you always bring that extra ray of sunshine to go with it! Even when the weather is glum! You make it shine ✨ 👍🥹
Another great video. Perhaps for me another region to visit in the future🙂 Keep up the good work!
Many thanks for another lovely video. When I first discovered your channel - only a week or so ago - I could see immediately what a good film maker you are. I have been teaching film making since 2008 and am always looking for new films to show to the students as examples to follow. I particularly like the pace of your work, the wide variety of shots and the effective integration of background music. One of my mantras is "always give the editor plenty to work with" and you certainly do this, even if are both camera operator and editor! However I won't be showing your work to my students any time soon as last month I have changed over to drama. Ho hum. (I also like the personal trademarks that you include in every film. My personal trademark that has been in dozens of short films is me running through the shot at some point. However, 2 recent hip replacements have sadly put a stop to that.)
Really loved this vlog and did you know that hathersage is supposed to be the burial place of Little John
Blimey G you must be fit to get to the top of the peak. I used to work at Marple station and we used to get loads of walkers on a Saturday. There was also a live band on a train that used to get off at Edale and go to the pub.😊
Sheffield/ Manchester folk band , played at the Ramblers Rest pub next to Edale train station
Great video again with some brilliant scenery. Love the Hope Valley Line. Always try to travel this route when going between Sheffield and Manchester- much better than EMR
Love this, this line is really scenic with beautiful landscape surrounding it
The view from a Sheffield Manchester train started my love of hill walking , a week later I was at Edale doing my first hill walk , the views from the hope valley line are spectacular, I also remember coming back from Manchester on the Swindon trans pennine units with their unique exhaust rattle sound being snug in a compartment as the hills flashed by .
Lovely video as Usual. I've started doing as many walks as I can from every station along the hope valley. Thanks for your videos.
Lovely vlog again, I used to work in Castleton, so Hope was my nearest station, I'd either walk or cadge a lift. I would use the Derbyshire Wayfarer ticket because as long as you journey starts or ends in Derbyshire you can use it on trains and buses. I'd travel Hope to Sheffield then Sheffield to Langley Mill. Be Well x
The Hope Valley Line is a beautiful line, having travelled between Manchester and Edale back in early August. Need to do the eastern part of the line, but will do so when I'm next in Sheffield
Great video. I would never see any of this area being in East Yorkshire myself so thanks for sharing! Amazing you can fit so much into half a day too!
Blimey ! Three walks in one video , and loads of stunning scenery in the beautiful Hope Valley
If you get off the train at Hope station, I would recommend a visit to Speedwell Cavern (about 2 or 3 miles away), for some under ground flowing water
Ooo sounds great!
Love your vids
Love it G. You’re on my patch now as I use the HV line from Sheff to do walks from all the stations along it.
I thought you might’ve got off at Chinley. There’s a fantastic chip shop, a café and Henshalls butchers. Burgers from there are absolutely delicious 😋!
Edale is great for walks and good food too.
They do do you the world of good, I will admit
Those walks were so beautiful! I really liked that little river is so cool! Such a cool journey. 😎
Love videos the keep up the good work
You certainly make the best of every route 👍
Great vlog G. This brings back school days memories as we had a week in Edale (lovely Youth hostel) with lovely walks in Edale and Castleton and learning a lot about the geology of the region.
We had a great geology teacher (thanks Mr Williams.) Must revisit.
Sounds a great trip!
Next time you could always mix it up with a swim at the Hathersage open air swimming pool, it is heated so its always warm and relaxing what ever the weather !
good job
Another great video G keep them coming
TFW have got rid of the 175s. I'm devastated
know the feeling of stiff legs ! kind of reminds me of getting a now non existent city zap service from leeds to york witch took me the walk to the nrm to destiffen after being sat for a while and using me arm as a barrier to prevent headbutting the window upstairs when the driver jamed breaks on from spotting stationary traffic pity transdev discontinued the canal bit reminds me of me n a mate at grosmont during NYMR gala were i tried to walk through the long bit of road through the water with me camera round me neck but didnt get far was nice to get down to the river though and later realizing it was possible to cut through the church grave yard towards the separate one shame me camera is currently broken due to the fact the on off switch got loose and came off on me meaning theres no way to turn it off to save charge on the battery so i have to wait to see if its insured and mendable witch im wanting to be done sooner then later so i can plan more outings and the failed trip to York as id planed a few things out witch had to be shelfed witch turned out to be a good idea not to bring some nacked model trains to a model shop to be checked to see if they are worth mending
Argh its g loves great vid again
Arghhh
Nice one G
Interesting and entertaining video Miss G.
Love that you’re combining rail trips with scenic walks. Nice one G.😊. 🚂🚴♂️🕺🏼🇺🇦
A very enjoyable video 📹, well done. Do you have any lives planned soon?
I should do one over the next few weeks not sure when yet
Is there any hope on the Hope Valley Line and good will. Maybe Network Rail could electrify the Hope Valley Line or Northern to order more new trains to replace the older trains and improve their services on the entire network in the North of England.
Next time must you get off at Hope and walking around the paths there
Awesome video G, Wonder if the Woodhead Line would be reopen? Really love you videos Girl. Well done.❤❤❤❤
Would you like to do Scarecastle Tunnel?
Great video
I assume you've already walked up to Stoodley Pike from Hebden G?
Ello
Ello ello
we should buy u a watch G
Did you find Holly at Marple?
I always thought there was no hope for you, but clearly there is...
Good views, shame about the sound! You REALLY need a Rode clip-on wireless mike, like other loggers use 🥴
Cancellations suck 🙁
Trains Station 🚉
Your vids are brilliant xx
