If Mitsubishi made another EVO, I'd be driving that instead of a VA WRX. Love my Subie, but I know the EVO is the better car.

Am A Subie person but that red Evo is so Sick ..and come to think of it the "Which is best between the two arguments that existed during the cars prime was really unnecessary" These are both great cars driven by guys with a lot of passion. Now that i have realized this i truly think an EVo is the only car I would switch to from a Subaru and I give give it the same amount of respect.
I've owned both, but the evo has superior awd/handling and power potential.

I will have to disagree on superior AWD. Evolution has unequal drive shafts and sti is symmetrical and can also fully lock.
Darth SpecB agree to disagree, Evo has better weight distribution and ayc/s-awc that's superior in the corners, while wrx/sti's tend to understeer except newer models that have torque vectoring (Evo's already have in ayc) and still need aftermarket swaybars and endlinks to come close to the Evo's handling.
Subies seems to be a great platform; I do have my gripes with them. Had acouple four of them throughtout the years and the EJs seems to not cooperate with me much. Switched over to the EVOs 8,9, and X and gotta say I love the the 4Gs and 4Bs capabilities. Never had a problem with them. The only thing i loved about the EJs is that they have that nice low exhaust note. Mad respect for the STIs however, I think the EVOs have chosen me in this life.
In all honesty, the only thing Subaru has over evo is the rumble sound. But the Evo is an overall better car. Better looking, more reliable, holds more power stock, etc.
Jiraiya Sama ever sit inside an evo or work on one near the salt belt? Guessing not by that comment. Subaru has way more than a sound on the evo. Just my 2 cents love both but there is a reason my friend drives an evo with a lagacy as a daily.
Jiraiya Sama lmao why thank you ur too kind. I drive an evo x but the newer subies look killer. Never was a fan of the old but the new ones break necks. My dream is to have both in my garage

Jiraiya Sama then start making valid points not generalizing to only a sound is better. Sure an evo makes more power easier, and I love evos but only a true enthusiast of both would never make such a statement. I've owed Mitsubishis my whole life. My first car was a 3000gt vr4. And had and built 3 4g63's. And helped build and repair evos for friends for almost a decade But an sti has way more than a sound over an evo. Be it only beating them in sales and surviving the market. Just pointing it out to the evo fanboys that just bash every sti they see and think evos are bulletproof that's all. No disrespect

that EVO 10 is just lush the subbie is extremely well done and slick . the red evo looks over done at the front looks like it got carried away with the time attack aero bits up front ( but thats my opinion and i respect the owner for doing it his way and no one else )

Yeah maybe the Evo is good with handling and power when it goes down on the track but the much loved and still ALIVE Subaru is a great car all around no matter what you put it through, five feet of snow or the mud pit...... I've NEVER SEEN an Evo go through as much Shit as Subaru.

Evo is the unicorn of this rivalry. 99.9% of the time you'll see an STI every single day. The Evo seems to handle power better than a Subaru & majority of the fast STI's are swapped or a ticking time bomb.
true subaru is more well known than mitsubishi and way more popular than mitsubishi... few stis out there that have 500whp+ for years idk what they did but its working for them...

bap evos are gone because of business reasons...basically no one was buying them and mitsubishi wasn’t getting any sales on that product line not because they were unreliable

No, they sold significantly less of them. The evos are 10x more reliable. Ive owned both. The sti popped head gasket at 70k miles. My evo now makes 140 more WHP and has 175k and still running. Its not even a competition. The 4g63 is 10x the engine the ej's are
