  • In this video, I review Finnair's Premium Economy cabin on their Airbus A350, flying from Hong Kong to London via Helsinki. If you're curious whether upgrading to Premium Economy is worth it, this video will give you a deep dive into the experience, covering seat comfort, food and drinks, and the overall quality of service.
    I started my journey at Hong Kong International Airport, where I explored the Cathay Pacific and Qantas lounges. I share my experiences, highlighting unique features at The Wing Business Class Lounge, as well as the impressive amenities at the Qantas Hong Kong Lounge.
    Once I'm on the plane, I give you a detailed review of the Premium Economy cabin, focusing on the seat layout, legroom, and in-flight amenities. I also talk about the meal service, which offers complimentary soft drinks and alcohol, but with a limited food menu.
    I also consider whether the extra cost for Premium Economy is justified, with its additional legroom, Tier points, and enhanced service.
    Join me as I explore the highs and lows of Finnair's Premium Economy to help you decide if it's the right choice for your next trip. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and leave a comment with your own thoughts on Finnair's Premium Economy experience.

    No drinks offered before push-back Ken? Doesn’t get the pulse racing does it?
    Happy travels David

      No, unfortunately not in Premium Economy. Finnair enacted a series of cost-cutting measures from 19 April 2023, eliminating a second meal for economy passengers, eliminating champagne in short-haul business class, stopping to provide pillows, etc, etc. As a result, their onboard service is quite a lot worse. There are lots of videos out there talking about how wonderful their service was, but you would find most of them were for flights before April 2023. They have really gone downhill since all these cost-cutting measures, sadly! Thanks for tuning in and commenting, David.

    So, do you get access to the lounge with Premium economy? Or do you still have to buy access to it, regardless of the ticket type.

      No, unfortunately not. I got access with my Oneworld Sapphire status. Thanks for watching.

    With the revised flight routes taking longer, and reduced amenities onboard, not worth the price. Cathay or BA are both much better on this route.

      @KenTravels360  14 дней назад +1

      That is the case, unfortunately. The duopoly has driven up the prices though. If you want to travel in comfort in business class and don't mind the detour, you can sometimes find a bargain with Finnair. It's worth exploring all options to get the best value for your journey. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    they don't give out the neck pillows anymore as it seems. the presentation for the breakfast is just terrible.

      No, but at least they are honest in saying they are trying to reduce cost, rather than suger-coating it as "due to customers feedback".

      @@KenTravels360 No neck pillows, but are normal pillows now offered in PE? I find them useful at times for additional lower back support. Thanks.

      @@wuchinshan133 No, unfortunately, no pillows at all. Finnair claimed that most passengers bring their own neck pillows, so they've got rid of them in Econ and PE. It's a cost-saving measure.

    That breakfast looked awful! And no excuse for narrow seats. No thanks.
