It's common for anime to stop, because what makes the buck is manga. For most, anime is just an ad campagin for manga. It's a different story when anime gets super big. But it's common for new anime to stop, because author earns the most on manga. Also some studios are kinda pain in the arse to work with.
Season 3 is set for Spring next year. There's also the Slime Diaries spin off. It's common for anime to just stop, depending on how well it's received. Some never get beyond the 12 episode first season, even if the manga has hundreds of chapters
@@Bexploserpro no, right now there are 20 volumes, and there will be 2-3 more+ some extra stories if I remember correctly. Btw there’s also a web novel which is different from the LN. Both start to differ around where the anime ends.
Usually when there's a huge break between seasons for an anime its one of two reasons, they didn't get greenlit for another season by the producers behind them or there's not enough source material to adapt so they wait(what happened with attack on titan with s1 and s2).
Or something happens with the author. Some authors have gotten into legal trouble and had to stop, others had health issues. I remember one of my favorite anime growing up was Pilot Candidate for Goddess, and the anime just stops mid-season. Turned out the studio was publishing the series alongside the manga, and the manga author died suddenly so they ran out of material for the anime.
It was the moment that I found myself crying a little while listening to the Opening/Ending songs that I realized how invested I was in the show. The songs are just so beautiful to listen to, I can't help but feel emotional. Especially for that one insert song in episode 23 of season 1.
Stereo Dive Foundation does great music, another of their songs has been used as an anime ED. The song is called 'Daisy' and was the ED for the show "Beyond the Boundary"
To answer some of your questions: most anime are based on manga or light novels but there are some anime originals e.g. Lycoris Recoil ... Anime are produced by specific studios, for example Mappa, but Mappa also does other shows, so they need time to produce the other shows too. more popular shows generally get a further season quicker but this is not always the case. also shows can change studios but they stil need to find slots for the shows to air. There also has to be enough source material to continue. Also, the new slime movie Scarlet bond is out now but season 3 is probably to get a window in spring 2024 can't find official confirmation maybe someone can help here.
Don't forget the Visual Novel you have: Steins Gate, Fate series (like Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero) Higurashi, Angel Beast, etc And video games that got adapted into Anime too.
12:07 Huge breaks like AOT had can happen for some reasons: - The most common is not having enough material to adapt from the original source (Manga or LightNovel) so they need to wait 2/3 years or more. - Sometimes the studios already have their schedule full with other animes or don't want to produce more seasons for that anime. On that note, animes often change from one studio to another. (That process takes time since the producer that is the one investing, will have to look for another studio that wants to produce the anime.) - A very common scenario is the anime not making enough profit to justify making a 2nd season. Btw, as an overall explanation of anime releases: - Every year we have 4 seasons (Winter - Spring - Summer - Fall) - In each season we get around 45 new animes/sequels, so in average that's nearly ~200 animes every year
The third ending has more weight when considering it's the one used in the first part of season 2, leading to the attacks on Tempest and Eurazania. As for the adaptatinos most are done from manga to anime but there are light novels and/or games to anime too, in a way smaller quantity there are entirely original anime that are increasing in quantity a little by little with the years, one of the best recent ones coming to mind is "Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song"
Remember that season 2 had Milim go off the rails and attack Carrion, and then we all should know what happened to Shion…, that’s why the 3rd ending focus’s on them, and is played during the resurrection.
Since there was Stereo Dive Foundation song in these ED, i would like to recommend to react Kyoukai no Kanata OP and ED. Its ending was legendary and iconic for me
Sometime we dont have information about a new season for years. A studio work on a lot of anime, and it's sad but a lot of anime are only seen as a commercial production to make add for the main version of the story. There is a lot of anime based on manga, but at our time, most of new release are from light novel or web novel, even manga come from that, there is some original production made by studios themself but that's not the majority, and there is some anime that come from game, adaption or original derived from it.
The thing is that almost all anime are only produced to promote the underlying (literary) template, i.e. manga and light novel. Light novels are almost like paperback novels, where there are also anime-style illustrations on some pages, which also serve as a template for a manga adaptation. I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a good example of a title that is actually a light novel and then also adapted as a manga - and then as an anime. An anime is then usually only made for a title to increase sales again. In addition, there are so-called "production committees" in Japan that commission a studio to produce an anime. If the sales figures have increased accordingly due to an anime, then another season will certainly be commissioned. I feel like this has happened a lot more often in recent years than in the past, where many titles only consist of one anime season. As well as one of my favorite titles "Chivalry of A Failed Knight" (snivel), where the Source Material would still have enough for five more seasons.
Bro,you should try to react: -Accel World Openings and endings -Black Butler Openings and Endings -Btooom Openings -Aldnoah Zero Openings and Endings -Zetsuen No Tempest Openings and Endings -kokkoku Opening and Ending -Mahouka koukou no rettousei Openings -Platinum End Opening -Fate Apocrypha Openings and Endings
The symbolism in the first ed is pretty cool. It's pretty obvious that is shows that Rimuru basically lit up the world for a lot of people. Seen by it raining, and all the ogres being sad (for a very good reason), and when Rimuru shows up, the sky clears up.
They say next season is spring of 2024. If you want to see more content with the kids, I can recommend reacting to the OVA for the Slime, which rewinds time a bit, but is almost fully focused on the kids.
Animes in a way are commonly used as advertisment for the source material they was based on. Some end it at this and if you want to see more you have to go read the manga or light novel. Others like Made in Abyss catch up with the manga and must wait. Though if I remember right Made in Abyss did say we will get more when the manga has time to produce more content. We usually are not told this and left forever waiting with nothing but hope.
In regards of anime sources, the two main ones are manga and light novels, after that we have the ones that are based on games (like Pokemon), and then the originals, which are as the name suggest, original anime, no other sources for those
The answer regarding the hiatus(s) is as you mentioned the LARGE majority of anime is based off of manga so a hiatus is normally caused when either the anime already caught up, the manga ended or the anime didn't get enough attention for the manga EDIT: to summarize the replies and double down on why I said "large majority" anime is split between 100% original idea and not (manga/manhua/light novel/webcomic)
Slime is based on the light novel not the manga it’s long break is bc of COVID and working on the movie. They are not a super big studio so they can’t make the movie then a season shorty after each other like demon slayer does
@@Luxius. ya its been made clear tho that the web and the light novel are 2 completely different stories tho and shouldn't be compared. I just don't understand why many people I talk to think that the anime is based on the manga when its actually based on the LN they have nothing todo with each other and one does not effect the other. I guess its bc most anime r based on manga's. also i want to make it clear that im not referring to Luke when i say many people.
@@Justsomerandomweeb121 yea, that's also the reason why their titles are so long, because in Syosetsu they don't have a cover or an image, that's why they need to make their title as interesting and as close to their story as possible so that people are interested and understand what the story tells
Season 3 is coming Spring '24 anime season. For context we just recently started (first week of April) Spring '23 anime season, so it'll be a year before we get it.
Regarding the questions at the end: No, not every Anime is based on Manga. Some are based on Light Novels, some, like Steins;Gate, are based on Visual Novels (which is a type of story based game). Some are just original creations for the Anime. A LOT of shows are based on Manga, but by far not all. As for seasons, I don't exactly know the reasoing behind it, but pauses between seasons are absolutely expected. Not a lot of shows manage to just keep going, without technically having seasons, like One Piece, for instance. Speaking of which, I sure can't wait for 350k, so you finally start that...
The reason is something a lot of anime fans don't know. Basically, there are two types of anime: Daytime anime and nighttime anime. There's more differences between them than just what time they air. Daytime anime (basically anything with 48+ episodes running consecutively) work like cartoons in the US, where the network helps pay for them, then profit is made by selling commercial space. The difference with nighttime anime is something that would only be obvious if you've ever streamed Japanese television (commercials and all). Night time anime works like infomercials in America, where the studio pays the network for half an hour of their air time, then they're free to air whatever they want for that half hour. You'll see a few "normal" commercials from companies who helped fund the anime's production (they'll be listed right after the OP), but EVERY other commercial will be for something the parent company is selling. For example, when Madoka aired, you'd see a lot of stuff like Monogatari merchandise commercials, advertisements for the Madoka OP CD, and ads from anyone else who helped fund the show (MORNING RESCUE). That's the reason you'll never see a late night anime run for more than 26 consecutive episodes: The studios are basically self-funding these shows and often need the profit from the previous season to even start making more (or to finish it, in the case of split-cour shows). Daytime anime like One Piece don't have that problem, since they get a lot of upfront funding by the network.
@@TheLordTash That is indeed a very foreign concept. Nothing that isn't advertisement, let alone a show for entertainment purpose, that people actually want to watch, would ever end up paying a TV station for being able to run on that station here.
It has its emotional, POWERFUL moments, but I always said it was a surprisingly wholesome anime. Glad you took the time to watch it and reset a bit after Attack on Titan. It strikes such a rare and surprising balance, and that's what it makes it such a gem.
a couple of people have already said this: sometimes the anime catches up with what is already out for the manga and they either A.) stop the anime and wait for the manga or B.) They do anime only episodes Biggest examples of this (that i can tihnk of) are FMA and the ending of the original Fruits Basket anime FMA by the time it go to ep 25 of its 51 episodes it had run out of manga (according to the wiki the mangaka Arakawa "allowed Bones to work independently from her, and requested they produce an original ending different from that of the then ongoing manga") i'm hella unsure if this is the case for other anime with anime only episodes but this is why FMA:B exists and the 2019 remake of Fruits Basket as both follow super closely to the manga
12:30 Most anime are based on manga, some on light novels. And then there are anime originals (not based on any source material) like my personal favourite anime - Code Geass. Also you forgot to mention that Gabiru-sama is also the smartest. 😂
Most animes are based on manga or light novels, but not all. The hiatus is caused by one of 4 things. Not enough source material, studio issue(for example weather), not yet gotten the greenlight to start working on the next season, or not a big enough audience. The main ones are source material and studio issue. The coronavirus, for example, caused a lot of animes to be delayed
alot of times animes were made gather interests for the manga while the manga itself is still ongoing. New Anime seasons that have longer wait usually is because that caught up with the manga, n have to wait for more sauce material to have enough to work on a new season
Slime is an interesting Franchise in that the Novel author is directly involved in most of the main manga series and has a lot of influence in the anime through not as much as he would want as was said in one interview ... The main Manga comes out monthly and is supervised by the Novel Author ... its why you can expect longer pauses between the sessions as the manga will need time to release new chapters as I dont think they want the Anime get to much ahead of the main manga .... The ending of Session 2 which aired September 21, these event came out in the manga July 21 so only 2 months apart That said slime has multiple spin-off manga also supervised by the Novel author that could be adapted to fill out the time... Slime Diaries is a slice of life where the author wished to depict the more "mundane" life in the city of monsters - its basically based on material that the author wrote but it just did not fit into the main story ... and the idea is basically someone writing the events up in a diary with a more comedic bend that the main series ... that said recently the manga is tackling the events from the start of S2 that hit the city which is interesting to watch as it will be handled in it. Another major spin off is Makoku Gurashi no Trinity offers a kinda more grunt level perspective on the events as 3 girls come to the city from Carion, Frey and Milims domains .... I like it a lot as it provides a perspective you dont really get in the main series. this series starts after the Fight with Charybdis and I see it as the most likellz candidate to get an adaptation after the main series and diaries. There is also Mamono no Arukikata but that one starts with events that will only be shown in season 3 and is ahead of the main manga in certain aspects and characters ... so that one would be dicey Recently another Spinn of started called Clayman Revenge, which seems to be Clayman ending up back in time and changing thing .... But basically the novel Author uses the spin offs to give more love to side characters and the likes as he does not space for that in the main series ...
Animes can be based on Manga, Light Novels, Videogames, or they can be an anime original which means it is not based on anything pre existing rather is a new story created for the anime that later on if is successful enough can create mangas or additional material around it, Evangelion is a good example of that.
Many Anime are based on Manga, a few on Light Novels (books) and a scarse bunch on visual novels (games). Very little bunch are completly original material and even so, they usualy get addapted back into manga or a novel. About the breaks, that depends on the show. Some big hits got episodes all the time, almost every week of the year, but most are comprised of seasons of 12 or 13 episodes. And as some already explained, the reasons vary: initial lack of interest to continue, lack of source enough material (if adapted from a manga or book), legal issues, lack of manpower (those things take time to produce, and many are done in a single studio, instead of spread around lots of concurrent ones all around the world, making different episodes at once. When a season comes out it is complely animated already, to keep the weekly releases steady without any hicups. Mostly, there are exceptions) And, with few exceptions, anime/manga are made with the intent of conclusion at some point, so the author can move on to a new work constantly
animes are often adaptations of manga or light novels. other adaptations being manhwa ( korean manga ) games , novels , visual novels and in very rare cases sometimes a anime is adapted from a real life movie/series. anime originals ( as in , anime that aren't adapted from any source ) are quite rare as its hard to get them right and also hard to get people hyped for or be competitive in the market when more popular shows are announced where people know the sources of. i don't know if you've checked sites like MyAnimeList or Anichart but they will tell you what a anime that season is being adapted from. once you eventually catch up to most shows and want to try a seasonal anime those sites are best to check whats currently airing and whats the most popular right now. but since you're still very new to anime thats a whole different ballpark and usually is reserved for when you've watched most major shows already.
Just remember the scene about those kids in spirits world, bcs it's correlated to future event in the story line. Well, we all can't wait for the next season.
12:24 Most are based off a source material such as Light Novels or Manga. A lot of times there won't be a conclusion. The source material could still be on-going or the anime could just be there to get people interested in reading it.
It depends on the series. Sometimes it's because the author has a health issue and hasn't been able to continue writing content. Other times it's because the show didn't take off like they thought it would and just gets canceled. They used to just make up filler seasons to placehold while the valid story lines could get finished but realized that was kind of dumb and annoyed people so now, if the story arc hasn't been completed, they make up to what they have available and then stop until the next arc is ready to be made.
The 3rd season will come out in april 2024. Will you watch it weekly or when it finished airing? Also some animes are original shows, adapted from manga or can be adapted from a light novel, visual names which is games, or even a manhwa, which is like a comic I think or smh. And I found it funny how you say 'what is this anime?' in the description when you have already seen the show lol.
Most anime are mostly made as publicity for the source material. There are different kinds of source material, the most common or popular being Manga and Light Novels(basically books) while there also are video game adaptations, visual novels adaptions, and some (not that many) are anime originals so they have no source material whatsoever.
There are 2 reasons for Anime breaks, 1st is that there is not enough source material which is the least common, and the 2nd is that the show isn't popular enough for it gets a sequel which is the most common reason even though they have enough material for 10 more seasons, but all hope is not lost since there are quite a few shows that got a new sequel after 8-10 years. Not all anime is from manga, anime is adapted from many different source materials, there are original shows made by the studio, and there are light novels (basically a novel), visual novels (Digital novels in form of a game), and video games that got adapted into anime. 1. Manga you have: Attack on Titan, Death Note, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Tokyo Ghost, My Hero Academia, Made in Abyss, Vinland Saga, Chainsaw Man, One Punch Man, Psy x Family, Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, Fairy Tail, Gintama, Kaguya Sama love is War, Jujutsu Kaisen, Beast Star, Assassination Classroom, etc 2. Light Novel you have: Konosuba, Sword Art Online, Over Lord, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, No game no Life, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl, 86 Eighty-Six, Violet Evergarden, the rising of the Shield hero, The ancient Magus bride, Mushoku Tensei, So I'm a Spider So What, Tanya the Evil, Log Horizon, etc 3. Visual Novel you have: Steins Gate, Fate series (like Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero) Higurashi, Angel Beast, etc lot more you haven't reacted 4. Video games you have: Nier Automata, Persona 4, Persona 5, Kancolle Collection, Azurland, Girl Frontline, Danganronpa, etc many more shows you never reacted to 5. Original you have: lycoris recoil ordinary days, Zombieland Saga, etc many more shows you never reacted to
mainly all animes are based on manga's they usually follow the manga story line as most mangas are if you think about it the story boards for the actual animes, it's the case that not everything is added from the manga's but those animes that stick really well to the main story told and given from the mangas usually end out pretty well.
Anime History Lesson time! "Anime" as we know it, is largely considered to have been started with the classic Astro Boy, which was made because it's creator Osamu Tezuka wanted to create something similar to the Disney animated films he had seen. The Manga of Astro Boy first came out in 1952, with its first Animated run coming in 1963! Most Anime are based in part on an existing Manga (comic book, often collected in a tankobon, or volume, or sold in a magazine that collects the latest issues of various stories, like Shonen Jump) or Light Novel (short and easy to carry with you on public transport style books). Sometimes a Light Novel will spawn a Manga and then an Anime, sometimes it's the other way around. In the Mid 90s, we started to get a few big Anime that were Original Stories, not based on any previously existing Manga or Light Novel, though they often spawned those after the fact. Anime like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, and later on, FLCL, Gurren Lagann, and Kill La Kill are good examples of Anime Originals that later had Manga or Novel adaptions made. Nowadays, a lot of Anime get their start as WebManga (Webcomics) or Web Novels (think Original FanFiction, often released in chapters), that then get turned into Light Novels and Manga itself, before becoming an Anime. Good examples of this would be One Punch Man, which started off as a Web Manga by ONE, was redrawn and edited a bit into a release Manga by Yusuke Murata, and then later adapted into Anime by Madhouse for the first season, or Sword Art Online, which was originally a Web Novel by Reki Kawahara, released on his website, and then later edited and published as a Light Novel series, with the Anime and Manga coming out around the same time. I could go on for even longer, but I think that's a good enough snapshot of info for now!
Oh! One last thing. In Japan, "Anime" doesn't just refer to Japanese produced animation. It covers everything. The dichotomy of "Anime" being "Japanese or Asian Only" and "Cartoon" being used for Western works is something that we in the west came up with. As far as most Japanese people are concerned, Evangelion is Anime, SpongeBob is Anime, Konosuba is Anime, and King of the Hill is Anime. There's even debates in Japanese forums over whether it's better to watch King of the Hill or SpongeBob in Dub or Sub! 😂
if you want to get an idea of how anime and manga works, it is actually explained in an anime that you can watch called "Bakuman" basically the story revolves around making manga and trying to get an anime.
Most anime are based off manga, though the manga is not always the first adaptation of the media. For example Tensura (That time I got reincarnated as a slime) is originally a Light Novel. It is being adapted into a manga, and the anime is based off the manga adaptation. That said, there are several anime that aren't based on anything at all. Code Geass being an example if I recall the order it came out in.
A lot of anime are based on original material (Manga, light novels, novels, etc) so sometimes the original product is extremely popular and the anime studios jump the gun and get really close to where the original is so they have to wait a long time to make a new season. Other times they are not that successful so they end up with 1 or 2 seasons tops (like one of my favorite light novel series Horizon in the middle of nowhere).
That time I got reincarnated as a slime season 3 seems to be set for April 2024 and there is coming out a 3 part OVA this year called Coleus’ dream (I imagine it will be similar to “rimuru’s glamorous life as a teacher” 3 part ova)
I gerantee you this ova is better then even movie . You will enjoy it . Slightly spoiler from it We will get to see a short fight between violet vs luminous
Gegege no Kitaro (2018) endings 1-8, also the Gegege no Kitaro AMV (A.M.D.K.J) for the full song of ending 8. I have a RUclips playlist saved with all of this if you want it, because I enjoy most of the songs. Shojo S Bleach OP 10 is considered SCANDAL's second best song, Harukaze Bleach OP 15 is their third best, and A.M.D.K.J is considered fifth best. Though A.M.D.K.J isn't considered better than the Bleach openings, it's still top 5 of their best songs. Also, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood ending 4 Shukan Sentimental isn't even top 10, so it did beat out more notable anime outside Japan. I say notable instead of popular, because Gegege no Kitaro released in 1968, and has had 6 anime reboots (1971/1985/1996/2007/2008’s Graveyard Kitaro/ and lastly 2018). Would love to see this Japanese cult classic get a reaction since I’ve been enjoying it so much. Also, I’ve only been requesting the endings because they’ve been using the same Opening since 1968, so it’s an opening for nostalgia not “best opening ever”, so that’s why the endings have the music variety. Only exception is 2008’s Graveyard Kitaro which was more accurate to the 1960’s manga’s horror so it got a different opening called “Mononoke Dance” by Denki Engine. This anime’s history and lore is amazing stemming way back to 1930.
"Hey Luke, it's about time you tuned in to the Fruits Basket openings and endings! Trust me, they're incredibly heartfelt and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Please check it out!!!😊
dude... i love your hair... i had that style cut 20 years ago but it was down to my belly button and braided like john davis frolm korn. i watched the whole slime series on patreon. and it did make me a bit sad you had to skip the intros and outros . ps i cried a few times watching. keep it up dude. we love it.
A lot of stuff happens in Slime really, it's just skipped or something. Slime diaries is canon and goes for the lighthearted side of the story that happens in between some events. Not every anime comes from manga, some are from novels, others from even other countries (Tower of God or Radiant) and original anime (Zombie Land Saga or Planet Survival)...
My brain is bugged out I was like "hang on a sec he already upload these is it a re upload?" Then i re read the description and saw the "ending" part 🤣🤣
Season 3 should be coming out in Spring, though they plan to release 2 OVA's before hand, most likely in the Fall. There is also the movie which is "anime cannon" which recently came out back in February in the States, so It will most likely be added to Crunchyroll by the end of the year.
@vinceheins I say anime Canon as the author said it happened but since it's not in the light novels which the show is adapted from some don't like saying stuff not from the books is Canon, even if the author said otherwise
Yessss more Slime!!! I can’t wait for slime~ definitely watch the slime movie scarlet bond! There’s 2 maybe 3 ova episodes that focus on this kids I recommend watching Gundam Seed and Magi!!!
The reason anime only air 12 episodes a season is due to that there are a lot of manga that company want to adept it also known that there is twelve weeks in a season. It wasn't always like this though anime season at one point were 26 to 52 episodes per season and they kept on going two prime examples of the old way is detective Conan and One piece.
i'm sure someone has explained it much much better but my take on why an anime doesn't get _more_ is either it didn't generate enough manga sales (because yes most anime are adapted from manga) or they just weren't greenlit for a season 2 (no game no life fans have been waiting for years for more) , but there's others that are adapted from games(video, board or card) or from Light Novels which 9 times out of 10 if an anime has a long as fuck title its a light novel anime XD take for example one of the better Isekai anime that's adapted from its Light Novel: Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen a.k.a Ascendance of a Bookworm Another one is: Itai no wa Iya nanode Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu. a.k.a I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. / I hate being in pain, so I think I'll make a full defense build./ I Hate Getting Hurt, So I Put All My Skill Points Into Defense and since NO ONE wants to say all of that it literally got shortened to 'BOFURI' XD
most anime start from light novels and manga, and if they become a big hit , they will eventually become anime. If you like to watch some more slime i would recommend the slime diaries and also the slime movie scarlet bonds
99% of all anime are based on manga or light novels (basically just books) and an anime has to do well in sales for it to get a second season something that many anime just don't manage there are twice or three times as many anime that never made it past the first season than those that made it
I'd really like to see the Tsukihime Openings by ReoNa soon. Also an OST recomendation "In the Garden of Sinners" by Yuki Kajiura is really good as well as the movies
It would also be nice to see your reaction to the music from the anime movie "Belle". You already reacted once to a song of it which got covered by Vtuber Hakos Baelz
Most anime are adapted from novels, mangas, and games. They generally stop so you'll buy the source material but sometimes the reason is simple-mismanagement. I've seen plenty of anime that should be HUGE given the source material's immense popularity but arent because mishandling damaged it so much it's own fandom refuses to acknowledge an anime even exists
I think you would like Tenchi Muyo: Ryo-ohki. It's an older anime but very solid, It is internet friendly as well so streaming it wouldn't be a problem. Great content, keep it going and have a wonderful day.
Please tell me you're gonna watch the movie when it's available! It doesn't have any real impact on the story, but it's still a really fun Slime story!
You say that you aren't getting recommendations from the comments, so I will start keeping count as of today: Video 1 of suggesting: -Owari No Seraph -Arifureta -Another
Do you know if and when you're going to do your next Made In Abyss OST reaction video? Because I can't wait to see your reaction to one of the best soundtracks ever made!
Hio to your quetion where Anime come from is always different some start as Manga other start als Light- or Webnovel, and somtimes (rarely) it starts with the Anime direct. Often it starts as Lightnovel then gets adaptet as Manga and if is is popular after that it get adapted as an Anime.
Fun fact: There are 200 anime made per year, and there should be 200 to 300 different opening songs from all the shows, you might miss out on at least 150 songs from the top 50 anime op of the year you reacted to come out that same year, there is a lot of good songs that didn't make into the top 50.

Also i'm anime only, so i asked of pure curiosity.
@@Bexploserpro no, right now there are 20 volumes, and there will be 2-3 more+ some extra stories if I remember correctly. Btw there’s also a web novel which is different from the LN. Both start to differ around where the anime ends.
@@vice214 yea, the plots between WN and LN differ greatly
Usually when there's a huge break between seasons for an anime its one of two reasons, they didn't get greenlit for another season by the producers behind them or there's not enough source material to adapt so they wait(what happened with attack on titan with s1 and s2).
Or something happens with the author. Some authors have gotten into legal trouble and had to stop, others had health issues. I remember one of my favorite anime growing up was Pilot Candidate for Goddess, and the anime just stops mid-season. Turned out the studio was publishing the series alongside the manga, and the manga author died suddenly so they ran out of material for the anime.
S3 is greenlit for Tensura, it’s coming spring 24
@@Dyonivan Yea that happens sometimes too.
Ah that makes sense! I was wondering why AOT had that huge break
It was the moment that I found myself crying a little while listening to the Opening/Ending songs that I realized how invested I was in the show. The songs are just so beautiful to listen to, I can't help but feel emotional. Especially for that one insert song in episode 23 of season 1.
❤️
Stereo Dive Foundation does great music, another of their songs has been used as an anime ED. The song is called 'Daisy' and was the ED for the show "Beyond the Boundary"
To answer some of your questions:
most anime are based on manga or light novels but there are some anime originals e.g.
Also, the new slime movie Scarlet bond is out now but season 3 is probably to get a window in spring 2024
can't find official confirmation maybe someone can help here.
Don't forget the Visual Novel you have: Steins Gate, Fate series (like Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero) Higurashi, Angel Beast, etc
And video games that got adapted into Anime too.
12:07 Huge breaks like AOT had can happen for some reasons:
- The most common is not having enough material to adapt from the original source (Manga or LightNovel) so they need to wait 2/3 years or more.
- Sometimes the studios already have their schedule full with other animes or don't want to produce more seasons for that anime. On that note, animes often change from one studio to another. (That process takes time since the producer that is the one investing, will have to look for another studio that wants to produce the anime.)
- A very common scenario is the anime not making enough profit to justify making a 2nd season.
Btw, as an overall explanation of anime releases:
- Every year we have 4 seasons (Winter - Spring - Summer - Fall)
- In each season we get around 45 new animes/sequels, so in average that's nearly ~200 animes every year
Ah thank you for explaining ❤️
The third ending has more weight when considering it's the one used in the first part of season 2, leading to the attacks on Tempest and Eurazania.
As for the adaptatinos most are done from manga to anime but there are light novels and/or games to anime too, in a way smaller quantity there are entirely original anime that are increasing in quantity a little by little with the years, one of the best recent ones coming to mind is "Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song"
Also confit plays where Shion gets revived
Remember that season 2 had Milim go off the rails and attack Carrion, and then we all should know what happened to Shion…, that’s why the 3rd ending focus’s on them, and is played during the resurrection.
Ah Storyseeker is such an amazing ending...

Watch Summertime render openings, atleast second one. The show is very unpopular and deserves more attention.
Man
Disney sucks
Some soundtracks on that show were legendary
endings as well then
The thing is that almost all anime are only produced to promote the underlying (literary) template, i.e. manga and light novel.
Just to be a bit more correct, for That time I got reincarnated as a slime, as well as many other animes:
Webnovel -> Light Novel -> Manga -> Anime

The symbolism in the first ed is pretty cool. It's pretty obvious that is shows that Rimuru basically lit up the world for a lot of people. Seen by it raining, and all the ogres being sad (for a very good reason), and when Rimuru shows up, the sky clears up.
They say next season is spring of 2024.
If you want to see more content with the kids, I can recommend reacting to the OVA for the Slime, which rewinds time a bit, but is almost fully focused on the kids.
Storyseeker is my favourite ed from these😊
Animes in a way are commonly used as advertisment for the source material they was based on.

The answer regarding the hiatus(s) is as you mentioned the LARGE majority of anime is based off of manga so a hiatus is normally caused when either the anime already caught up, the manga ended or the anime didn't get enough attention for the manga
EDIT: to summarize the replies and double down on why I said "large majority" anime is split between 100% original idea and not (manga/manhua/light novel/webcomic)
Slime is based on the light novel not the manga it’s long break is bc of COVID and working on the movie. They are not a super big studio so they can’t make the movie then a season shorty after each other like demon slayer does
@@Retr0Omegayea, The LN is still far away (especially the WN 🙃)
@@Luxius. ya its been made clear tho that the web and the light novel are 2 completely different stories tho and shouldn't be compared. I just don't understand why many people I talk to think that the anime is based on the manga when its actually based on the LN they have nothing todo with each other and one does not effect the other. I guess its bc most anime r based on manga's. also i want to make it clear that im not referring to Luke when i say many people.
Almost every popular isekai is based on the Light Novel because it is their original source (refined version of the web novel).
You should watch Slime Diaries
they're very fun and light hearted
It has its emotional, POWERFUL moments, but I always said it was a surprisingly wholesome anime. Glad you took the time to watch it and reset a bit after Attack on Titan. It strikes such a rare and surprising balance, and that's what it makes it such a gem.
Ergo Proxy opening is both beautiful and very different. Highly recommended!
surprised nobody has recommended toradora op and eds yet, the show as a whole is top tier
The movie starts in a kind of flashback during/after the orc lord arc, but mostly takes place after the meeting of the demon lords Rimiru attended.
Oh okay! I feel like I'll have to check it out 💯
a couple of people have already said this: sometimes the anime catches up with what is already out for the manga and they either A.) stop the anime and wait for the manga or B.) They do anime only episodes
Biggest examples of this (that i can tihnk of) are FMA and the ending of the original Fruits Basket anime
FMA by the time it go to ep 25 of its 51 episodes it had run out of manga (according to the wiki the mangaka Arakawa "allowed Bones to work independently from her, and requested they produce an original ending different from that of the then ongoing manga") i'm hella unsure if this is the case for other anime with anime only episodes but this is why FMA:B exists and the 2019 remake of Fruits Basket as both follow super closely to the manga
12:30 Most anime are based on manga, some on light novels. And then there are anime originals (not based on any source material) like my personal favourite anime - Code Geass.
Also you forgot to mention that Gabiru-sama is also the smartest. 😂
theres a slime spin off and a slime movie that you gotta watch before you watch the next season thats coming out in 2024
Most animes are based on manga or light novels, but not all.
The ending of Session 2 which aired September 21, these event came out in the manga July 21 so only 2 months apart
That said slime has multiple spin-off manga also supervised by the Novel author that could be adapted to fill out the time...
There is also Mamono no Arukikata but that one starts with events that will only be shown in season 3 and is ahead of the main manga in certain aspects and characters ... so that one would be dicey
Recently another Spinn of started called Clayman Revenge, which seems to be Clayman ending up back in time and changing thing ....
Mostly, there are exceptions)
And, with few exceptions, anime/manga are made with the intent of conclusion at some point, so the author can move on to a new work constantly
animes are often adaptations of manga or light novels. other adaptations being manhwa ( korean manga ) games , novels , visual novels and in very rare cases sometimes a anime is adapted from a real life movie/series. anime originals ( as in , anime that aren't adapted from any source ) are quite rare as its hard to get them right and also hard to get people hyped for or be competitive in the market when more popular shows are announced where people know the sources of.
i don't know if you've checked sites like MyAnimeList or Anichart but they will tell you what a anime that season is being adapted from. once you eventually catch up to most shows and want to try a seasonal anime those sites are best to check whats currently airing and whats the most popular right now. but since you're still very new to anime thats a whole different ballpark and usually is reserved for when you've watched most major shows already.
Just remember the scene about those kids in spirits world, bcs it's correlated to future event in the story line. Well, we all can't wait for the next season.
so just as a big detail in ending 3, when it showed Shion and Milim sleeping that was a hint to what was "happening" to them in season 2 part 1.
The Reincarnated as a slime movie needs to win the next pull
Third Ed is something that made me cry😢 when I realized what is focused was
The 3rd season will come out in april 2024.
I recommend Moriarty the patriot op&ed

Most anime are mostly made as publicity for the source material. There are different kinds of source material, the most common or popular being Manga and Light Novels(basically books) while there also are video game adaptations, visual novels adaptions, and some (not that many) are anime originals so they have no source material whatsoever.
"Happy Slime plays Sim City"
Love Tensura is one of my fav isekai out there :D Love to see you react to Magi the Labyrinth Op & ED
Not all anime is from manga, anime is adapted from many different source materials, there are original shows made by the studio, and there are light novels (basically a novel), visual novels (Digital novels in form of a game), and video games that got adapted into anime.

mainly all animes are based on manga's they usually follow the manga story line as most mangas are if you think about it the story boards for the actual animes, it's the case that not everything is added from the manga's but those animes that stick really well to the main story told and given from the mangas usually end out pretty well.
i like how u put "crazy anime?" on the thumbnail when u already watched it xD
Watch the series!! Among the “isekai” genre , slime is one of the best ever
if you want to get an idea of how anime and manga works, it is actually explained in an anime that you can watch called "Bakuman" basically the story revolves around making manga and trying to get an anime.
Slightly spoiler from it
We will get to see a short fight between violet vs luminous
I remember 3rd song when rimuru revive shion, what a good song

A lot of stuff happens in Slime really, it's just skipped or something. Slime diaries is canon and goes for the lighthearted side of the story that happens in between some events.
Not every anime comes from manga, some are from novels, others from even other countries (Tower of God or Radiant) and original anime (Zombie Land Saga or Planet Survival)...
My brain is bugged out I was like "hang on a sec he already upload these is it a re upload?" Then i re read the description and saw the "ending" part 🤣🤣
The first few episodes actually had the same song but it is more of a recap of the episode than what you saw here.
3rd ending will always be remembered by me for shion being revived episode
Season 3 should be coming out in Spring, though they plan to release 2 OVA's before hand, most likely in the Fall. There is also the movie which is "anime cannon" which recently came out back in February in the States, so It will most likely be added to Crunchyroll by the end of the year.
Not really anime canon, could be mentioned slightly in the anime, but Raja was a pretty small nation, so will be plot irellevant
There’s 2 maybe 3 ova episodes that focus on this kids

The reason anime only air 12 episodes a season is due to that there are a lot of manga that company want to adept it also known that there is twelve weeks in a season. It wasn't always like this though anime season at one point were 26 to 52 episodes per season and they kept on going two prime examples of the old way is detective Conan and One piece.
i'm sure someone has explained it much much better but my take on why an anime doesn't get _more_ is either it didn't generate enough manga sales (because yes most anime are adapted from manga) or they just weren't greenlit for a season 2 (no game no life fans have been waiting for years for more) , but there's others that are adapted from games(video, board or card) or from Light Novels which 9 times out of 10 if an anime has a long as fuck title its a light novel anime XD
take for example one of the better Isekai anime that's adapted from its Light Novel: Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen a.k.a Ascendance of a Bookworm
Another one is: Itai no wa Iya nanode Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu. a.k.a I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. / I hate being in pain, so I think I'll make a full defense build./ I Hate Getting Hurt, So I Put All My Skill Points Into Defense and since NO ONE wants to say all of that it literally got shortened to 'BOFURI' XD
Storyseeker ED hit so hard aftrer "that" episode
most anime start from light novels and manga, and if they become a big hit , they will eventually become anime. If you like to watch some more slime i would recommend the slime diaries and also the slime movie scarlet bonds
Gabiru is voiced by the guy that voices kazuna in konsuba. Jun Fukushima.
Many animes are based on light novels which might also got a manga adaption. Sword Art Online is a popular example.
STERO DIVE FOUNDATION should do every ending for the show tbh
yes its verry common for animes to never get a season 2 a lot of times it just a add for the Source material.
You should react to Beyond The Boundary Op and ED. The ed is one of my favorite EDs and is by Stereo Dive Foundation.
Its cool to see how you have embraced Anime :)
99% of all anime are based on manga or light novels (basically just books) and an anime has to do well in sales for it to get a second season something that many anime just don't manage there are twice or three times as many anime that never made it past the first season than those that made it
There are Anime Original Series, yes, but i feel like the most popular Anime are adaptations.

I'd really like to see the Tsukihime Openings by ReoNa soon. Also an OST recomendation "In the Garden of Sinners" by Yuki Kajiura is really good as well as the movies
would the reactions to reincarnated as a slime be posted on youtube or stay on twitch?
I recommend Dororo openings and endings
You should watch slime diaries!
OP & ED
Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei
the kids were more focused on the second season of slime diaries I think
*Recommendation* Please react to all the endings for Food Wars!
Please tell me you're gonna watch the movie when it's available! It doesn't have any real impact on the story, but it's still a really fun Slime story!
they made hiiro canon in the manga via a flashback so it does have some effect on the story
I recommend the aldnoah zero openings and endings
Fruits basket op and ed reaction pls
You say that you aren't getting recommendations from the comments, so I will start keeping count as of today:
Video 1 of suggesting:
-Owari No Seraph
-Arifureta
-Another
Do you know if and when you're going to do your next Made In Abyss OST reaction video? Because I can't wait to see your reaction to one of the best soundtracks ever made!
Not sure when but definitely won't be long ❤️
Hio to your quetion where Anime come from is always different some start as Manga other start als Light- or Webnovel, and somtimes (rarely) it starts with the Anime direct.
Often it starts as Lightnovel then gets adaptet as Manga and if is is popular after that it get adapted as an Anime.
MAPPA currently works on a lot of different anime. I don't have any info about Chainsaw Man.
Fun fact: There are 200 anime made per year, and there should be 200 to 300 different opening songs from all the shows, you might miss out on at least 150 songs from the top 50 anime op of the year you reacted to come out that same year, there is a lot of good songs that didn't make into the top 50.
🤯
@@GOTGames it's like a neverending stream of material to choose
