Slime Reincarnation is an Isekai anime centered around the premise of the main character is killed irl and then gets reborn as a slime in another world. He learns to adapt to his new slime body, gains different skills, makes friends and builds a town like in an RPG game, and has lots of epic fights in a genuinely fun story with many happy moments, cool moments, sad moments, and outright hilarious moments. Also has lots of references to other anime like dragonball
Any JRPG meets Civilization/Sims/resource management game the anime. Also main character is Rimuru, was a guy but is now an androgynous slime which becomes a repeating joke throughout the show.
The 4th op is like flames by Mynda ryn and she even did an english cover of this song too. I highly recommend this anime. I can't get enough of this anime plus there's a movie for this anime that's going to be released next year in the states.
This anime is a mix of mostly lighthearted moments with some serious situations. There is fighting and a lot of focus on being a leader. And quite often main character uses knowledge from his old world to modernise his new fantasy world.
This anime's concept is heavily inspired by fantasy RPG games, which is why the concept of slime here probably caught you off guard. Rather than a puddle of slime, it is more related to the typical beginner/low level monster often found in such games as a slime (usually looking close to what the character looks like here in ball form).
This anime was such a weird situation it came out and everyone thought it sounded really stupid, but then people watched it and it was absolutely incredible. It's totally worth watching.
Yeah I first watched it back when I started my anime journey 3 years ago as a halfwit joke after reading the name but the quality of the first episode kept me interested throughout the entire season. Even now after watching over a hundred series it remains on top of my list as one of if not my absolute favorite anime.
This is one of my absolute favorites and I hope others get to see this and fall in love with it. Note: the main character, while being a sexless slime, is a he based on when he was human.
Same, I skipped it for long enough because of the name alone but after watching people talking about it got me to give it a try, and I watched 1 episode after another, got hooked and surprised myself binge watching everything 😂 Enjoyable show.
Not gonna lie I was one of those people but I decided to give it a chance and I gotta say it was fantastic I wasn’t expecting it to be so good definitely a 10 out of 10 anime

I'm just waiting for season three. Seriously though, Reincarnated as a Slime has top notch worldbuilding and this crazy ability to keep literally every fricking character relevant without it feeling forced. I was gonna say more, but I think I'll let you enjoy it yourself. I really want to see you react to this!

Mindarin started off as an anime cover channel. She's from Thailand but ever since she was given the opportunity to make a song for the 4th OP of this series. She has also started to further advance her Japanese and I think she's already very fluent with it now. She also did other projects promoting the anime as well as writing another song for the Slime Movie that will be coming out soon. Mindarin has pretty much become the FACE of Slime Isekai music, just like how LiSA is the face of Sword Art Online and Demon Slayer music. From anime covers, to Anime original OPs/ED. That is the dream of any anime cover channel and her hard work really paid off in the end😃
the "So im a spider, so what?" openings and ending are literal fever dreams and are such a blast to listen to, the main character is my favourite VA in anime and when she sings her own OPs and EDs, you know its gonna be good
Slime has both: It comes from a lighthearted side, but the further you get into the show, the darker it gets - and there are some seriously gut-wrenching moments so depending on the pace between arcs, it can go from almost slice-of-life like, to full Re:Zero style death and carnage and dread. And it balances it all really well. Plus story is amazing and worldbuilding is top notch - you really root for the main cast!
The "soul collecting" at the Second Season made me "WOWED" for a LOOOONG time. This anime is just perfection over perfection And Slime Diaries are not bad, also, very light and slice-of-life of the town daily life 😁
If this is how you describe what’s been animated so far, then you are mostly right for what’s to come coming from a light novel reader. It only goes up from here.
The title says it all , this anime is about a person getting reincarnated as a slime after they die , the genre is isekai ( getting transported/ teleported to another world) This anime has a decent story , good world building and a awesome cast of characters, definitely recommend
A lil' bit of correction, Isekai means "Another World", a genre where the MC is reincarnated/transported/summoned/Truck-kun or whatever else way the Japanese could think of, to another world. And yes, Tenshura is one of the best Isekai anime.
Oh man! Thank you for reacting to this. This is one of my favorite anime. It is light and fluffy most of the time and when it get serious, oh it delivers. You'll have a blast watching this little ball of slime starting from his humble beginnings. I love the world building and the characters are all lovable even the buffoon that is Gabiru :D.
this is 100% a must watch, the slime is the person you see with the blue hair, he ends up as a character that you will love, the anime has everything, comedy, action, fun characters, and more I've watched it twice and I can't wait for the continuation with the movie and the 3rd season
This is such a great anime, as for tone it switches back and forth between light and dark. It has its comedic moments but when it wants to be dark and more serious it goes DARK. Overall definitely in my top ten anime this show.
This anime is pretty epic. The Manga is nuts as well. The show swings back and forth with lightheartedness and some darker undertones all coming together in a really nice story.

This show has my stamp of approval. Action is not a big focus but when it happens it is well animated. It is generally funny and wholesome, but occasionally gets serious and a bit dark.
MindaRyn is INCREDIBLE!! This opening introduced me to her, actually. Love her voice so much, and this anime is one of my favorites. Like Flames was my favorite opening for this series, too...had an open tab for it for so long even after the season ended.
This show is one of the best “Isekai” out there. Isekai being when the main character has been dropped into a world besides their own. Overlord and Slime share the nature of their plot being the emphasis on how the Main Characters effect the entire world they have come to call home.

Essentially this anime is a typical isekai where a guy dies and get reincarnated into a fantasy world. the twist is that he gets reincarnated as a slime (obviously). It’s funny though cause slimes are supposed to be super weak, however, he gets the power to absorb and obtain powers of anything he consumes which makes him the most op character ever. Other than that, it’s super funny and all the characters are really likable. In terms of how dark this anime is, it never gets super dark/gorey but as the series progresses things do get “dark” from time to time.
This one’s definitely a personal favorite of mine! It’s a pretty relaxed show. Seeing how the characters grow stronger (and how the world reacts as a result) is very interesting.
MindaRyn!!! She's an absolutely goated singer from Thailand, becoming more prominent in anime openings recently. Also did second opening for Arifureta (Daylight) which is an absolutely fire song
What captivated me most about this anime is the evolution of the protagonist in this fantasy world and his desire to be good and do good above all else.

Reincarnated as a Slime (TenSura) is a great show that I rewatch regularly! It's the characters, the story, the action, and the comedic elements! Fantastic light-hearted, yet intense!
4th season intro is Like Flames by Mindaryn. She did the intro in both Japanese and English, and has also done a song for the Tensura movie Scarlet Bonds which came out at the end of November
This is my comfort anime, I've been watching it since the beginning, you could call me an OG. it's cool seeing so many people giving it attention. It's a nice mix of light hearted friendship scenes, comedy, serious situations and completely random bullcrap- but it makes it work spectacularly.
It's a lot of focus on light-hearted/comedy stuff but plenty of serious moments and drama as well. It managed to distinguish itself from the overabundance of isekai anime that's being churned out every year, and became a very popular contender. The story has a satisfying sense of progression as well, the main character uses the perks of being a slime with human intelligence to work their way up from nothing. The side characters are well-written too, it's definitely worth a watch!
Mindaryn sings the 4th theme, she is awesome. She's recorded music video for the English/Japanese version of the song but she's also put a fully English version of the song out there. She also sings a song called Daylight which is used as the theme of the 2nd season of Arifureta: From Commonplace to Worlds Strongest.
That Time I Reincarnated as a Slime is a re telling of the main character of his second life as a slime after getting killed on Earth. The title itself was a spoiler and that he un died himself. Back to the slime story part. its about him only wanting a slow steady slime life "slife" and slime are monsters. In summary its about him creating a village
This is a semi light hearted anime where the main character lives out their new life as a slime that wants the best for the world but everything doesn't always go as planned. It's easily one of my top 5 anime that I've watched.
I would absolutely recommend watching this one sometime! By far one of my favorite animes of the last few years. It's largely light hearted with a few more tense moments, wonderful combat, epic moments from just about every character (even one's you might not expect when they do come up *cough cough* _Gobta_ lol). An MC who, as overpowered as they may become, never acts cocky _nor_ naïve about their power and always puts the community they've built first and trusts in their companions. Some really good world building and a surprising amount of interesting politics regarding the nations of the world, the newly formed town our MC leads, and certain powerful entities. Damn, now I wanna go back and rewatch it all LMAO
Slime is my absolute favorite series. I'm more into the novels than the anime since there's so many more details and things that they just don't have the run time to fit in the show, but it is an absolute gem.
Easily one of my top 3 anime together with Overlord and So I'm a Spider, so What?. My favorite song to listen to is probably Like Flames as well. The song which made my cry was Reimei, which was used as opening and ending for a couple episodes in season 2. Was an amazing choice to set the scene.
When my husband and I first heard of this it was "eh sounds ok we'll give it a shot". Show was not what we expected at all but quickly became our favorite! It's great!

You mentioned "So I'm a spider, so what" so i'll post this again: Check out the full version of the 1. ED of that if you want your mind blown. Its by Aoi Yuuki, who you heard previously with "Los! Los! Los" from Tanya (Aoi Yuuki plays the MC in both) Also, check out the anime "Symphogear", an action musical anime. The OPs of that are by Nana Mizuki. And, as a musical, there are atleast 2 songs in every episode. Aoi Yuuki also plays the MC in Symphogear and has a ton of awesome songs there.
for a while this anime became something HUGE and the internet would not stop talking about it, after season 2 part 2 started releasing the popularity started to die down (probably because something more popular started releasing at the time) and the movie will be coming during January next year which has an original story created by the original story writer (unlike many anime movies which are non-canon) with season 3 most likely following at the end of next year due to the series getting so much attention and love from the fans
YES! This anime is beyond words it's so good. Lots of badass fight scenes and the humor is fantastic too. Definitely my recommendation for an actual watching. Watching these openings makes me wanna watch it all over again from the beginning :D
The last opening is by MindaRyn, a Thai singer. Quite fluent in English and Japanese too. She's been only recently (relatively speaking) in the anisong sphere so not many anisongs yet, but all of them are bangers. And yes, it's my fav one.
This is a definite contender to watch after AoT, i highly reccomend, it's a mix of action, comedy and slice of life. The fans have another name for it which you'll find out if you ever react to it My favourite it the 3rd opening, there is another opening but it's in the side story of this called slime diaries which wouldn't normally be counted but still a slime OP

I like this anime, and you're right, the main character is one of my favorites in the show, not very often that's the case. I recommend also checking out the endings for this one too. And since you mentioned it, the Openings and Endings for "So I'm a Spider, So What?" are pretty crazy (especially the endings), definitely worth checking out too.
Your partly right on your assumption, it is a high action comedy about someone getting reincarnated as a slime, there is a spin-off with slime diary's that is just comical skits of the characters put in some peculiar situations. Definitely worth a look IMO.

I originally read the manga first, then when S1 was released I couldn't wait for the next season and finally read to the end of the novel. The next season of the anime is out, and I'm back to reading it again and again lol

It beautifully alternates between wholesome every day life with friends and serious threats you need to deal with in order to preserve this peaceful life. This anime is all over the place, something it's light-hearted something it's dark/serious which is something I absolutely loved about it 👌 The world of anime is amazing
It's lighthearted most of the time, but it knows when to take itself seriously when it delves into the darker elements of the story. Fights are epic, you'll feel those pesky emotions, and just a great cast of characters that only amplifies the world building. Even if you dont react to it, you should still give it a watch at some point.
This is my first time leaving a comment on youtube. I've been watching your anime reaction videos for some time now and this is the first time I felt like I needed to tell you to watch an anime. I've ignored Tensura for the looongest time but when I watched it, I regretted not watching it earlier. It's really SO GOOD! I know you have a lot of animes on your list but I'd totally recommend watching this one after AOT. It's really funny, epic and The main character is SO cool. Ps: He's a guy :p
This Anime is defenitelly one of my favorites. Sometimes lighthearted, sometimes serious, sometimes badass. The general tone is a bit of a comedy but not always :).
This is my personal favorite anime. Thr story is very interesting and the animation fits the show so much. İf you have time to chrck it out definately do! İts not an extremely action packed show but it does have it's share of it.
Definitely recommend this one. It's quite a good story, though there are only 2 seasons of the anime so far. It makes you feel good, it's got a great world, great characters, great action scenes. It's heavy about nation building, and can be a little slow at times because it's got some politics and stuff, but overall it's a great experience. It's got lighthearted moments and dark moments, but yeah, you should definitely watch something mildly lighthearted, for the most part, like this. Think you would like it, since you were interested.
This was the biggest commercial success next to Overlord that kick-started the trend of Isekai (other world) anime that were either made from or made in the format of LitRPG. Without spoiling anything, the show's title is literal, and the story progresses in much the way you'd expect it to if you were playing the part of the protagonist in a fantasy RPG game. 10/10 would watch.
Have some isekai that I prefer, but this is easily up there If you want to know the ones I place higher: Realist Hero, Twelve Kingdoms, Overlord, Bookworm, Grimgar, Here and There, Drifters. Mind you, 8th is still high, as I'm Isekai trash and have seen all of them
Ot has a bit of everything. All the chars are quite loveable. The artists give every background char even if they are seen only once as a passerby very much unique look to just them. It does get dark also. But mostly very light hearted. Sad parts in it too. Very hit you hard in the gut. Has several seasons and a mobile game, has a spin off called slime diaries. And a new movie will be hitting theaters soon too so that should tell you how popular it got. Also try out vandread. Episode 1 has the best opening line of any anime ever. It comes off as a comedy but i can tell you once you watch it to completion and then watch it again you realize how dark it wad all the time. Martian successor Nadescio is the same way.
Speaking of the background characters, I don't think many, if any, are reused. I recognised a few in that scene who should've not even been mentioned or brought to attention.
It's difficult to explain without spoiling you though haha. What I can say is that this anime, is epic, a complete package of funny moments, drama, adventure and action packed scenes that will make you love it and watch it over and over again. My favorite is definitely like flames!! This anime has humor, action, and more! It’s honestly one of my top 5 fav anime’s and I 100% recommend it. If you already watch it by now then you should already know this but the main character is a boy.. 😭
This show is easily up there for me alongside SAO, Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer and Haikyuu!. An incredible show that is still ongoing for good reason
There’s a side series for this anime called “slime diaries”, which has an opening and two endings, both of which are sung by the voice actor for the slime in this anime.
The vocalist for "Like Flames" is MindaRyn. She's a Thai cover song singer and the Slime producers caught her videos and asked her to do the opening song for Slime.
The last song was done by MindaRyn a thai vocalist who was super popular for doing anime song covers, but some time ago she did get a contract with a japanese label and now records original songs for that label, from which few of them became anime endings and openings. For the other anime she was in, you have Kamitachi ending and Arifureta season 2 opening. Also regarding Tanya, this show will be getting a second season sometime in the near future but for now a date was not announced, though its almost a given it will be maybe around the Summer or Fall season of 2023 since the amount of air slots is still quite high.

This anime immediately got me hooked to it. It is one of the best isekais ever made. I got so hooked intact , I read the web novel then the light novel and the manga as well. And it just gets better. This is a much recommended anime for you.
This is super simplified review with out spoilers i think. Main character dies in our world and wakes up as a slime in a cave then meets one of the strongest creatures in the world (sealed away in cave) takes him out and starts to make a city in the outside but he is getting in the way of some of the greater powers in that world He wants to make a town where he and his friends can live comfortably that's close to or better than our world along the way he is able to turn into a human and make many friends that help start a town
Thie is one of my favorite Anime of all time! I atleast re-watched this once per year since release i think. I even read the manga and light novels.. I am that addicted to Tensura (short name of the title). You got the opening of the show right. It was really about a guy reincarnated as a slime. But it was so much more than that. This show is light hearted on the beginning but turns dark on season 2. You we're right about the protagonist that he's a nice character but there's a "don't mess with me" sign there. I highly recommend you to watch this! ☺️💙
I've seen what feels like hundreds of Isekai and fantasy animes, and this is by far my favorite anime ever of all time, can and have re-watched many times. Would recommend to anybody looking for a good one.
I would recommend the opening and ending to Akiba Maid Sensou. Also, since you mentioned So I'm a Spider, So What?, I recommend it. I binged it a few months back, underrated in my opinion

Slime has both: It comes from a lighthearted side, but the further you get into the show, the darker it gets - and there are some seriously gut-wrenching moments so depending on the pace between arcs, it can go from almost slice-of-life like, to full Re:Zero style death and carnage and dread. And it balances it all really well. Plus story is amazing and worldbuilding is top notch - you really root for the main cast!
The "soul collecting" at the Second Season made me "WOWED" for a LOOOONG time. This anime is just perfection over perfection
And Slime Diaries are not bad, also, very light and slice-of-life of the town daily life 😁

A lil' bit of correction, Isekai means "Another World", a genre where the MC is reincarnated/transported/summoned/Truck-kun or whatever else way the Japanese could think of, to another world.
And yes, Tenshura is one of the best Isekai anime.

Oh man! Thank you for reacting to this. This is one of my favorite anime. It is light and fluffy most of the time and when it get serious, oh it delivers. You'll have a blast watching this little ball of slime starting from his humble beginnings. I love the world building and the characters are all lovable even the buffoon that is Gabiru :D.
this is 100% a must watch, the slime is the person you see with the blue hair, he ends up as a character that you will love, the anime has everything, comedy, action, fun characters, and more I've watched it twice and I can't wait for the continuation with the movie and the 3rd season

This is such a great anime, as for tone it switches back and forth between light and dark. It has its comedic moments but when it wants to be dark and more serious it goes DARK. Overall definitely in my top ten anime this show.
It seems these animes that jump between light and dark have some of the most dark moments

This anime is pretty epic. The Manga is nuts as well. The show swings back and forth with lightheartedness and some darker undertones all coming together in a really nice story.

This show has my stamp of approval. Action is not a big focus but when it happens it is well animated. It is generally funny and wholesome, but occasionally gets serious and a bit dark.

MindaRyn is INCREDIBLE!! This opening introduced me to her, actually. Love her voice so much, and this anime is one of my favorites. Like Flames was my favorite opening for this series, too...had an open tab for it for so long even after the season ended.
This show is one of the best “Isekai” out there. Isekai being when the main character has been dropped into a world besides their own. Overlord and Slime share the nature of their plot being the emphasis on how the Main Characters effect the entire world they have come to call home.

Essentially this anime is a typical isekai where a guy dies and get reincarnated into a fantasy world. the twist is that he gets reincarnated as a slime (obviously). It’s funny though cause slimes are supposed to be super weak, however, he gets the power to absorb and obtain powers of anything he consumes which makes him the most op character ever. Other than that, it’s super funny and all the characters are really likable. In terms of how dark this anime is, it never gets super dark/gorey but as the series progresses things do get “dark” from time to time.
This one’s definitely a personal favorite of mine! It’s a pretty relaxed show. Seeing how the characters grow stronger (and how the world reacts as a result) is very interesting.

Reincarnated as a Slime (TenSura) is a great show that I rewatch regularly! It's the characters, the story, the action, and the comedic elements! Fantastic light-hearted, yet intense!
4th season intro is Like Flames by Mindaryn. She did the intro in both Japanese and English, and has also done a song for the Tensura movie Scarlet Bonds which came out at the end of November

This anime was easy going but don't let that fool you. Cause this anime can and will install scenes straight into your permanent memory bank.
This is my comfort anime, I've been watching it since the beginning, you could call me an OG. it's cool seeing so many people giving it attention. It's a nice mix of light hearted friendship scenes, comedy, serious situations and completely random bullcrap- but it makes it work spectacularly.
It's a lot of focus on light-hearted/comedy stuff but plenty of serious moments and drama as well. It managed to distinguish itself from the overabundance of isekai anime that's being churned out every year, and became a very popular contender. The story has a satisfying sense of progression as well, the main character uses the perks of being a slime with human intelligence to work their way up from nothing. The side characters are well-written too, it's definitely worth a watch!

Mindaryn sings the 4th theme, she is awesome. She's recorded music video for the English/Japanese version of the song but she's also put a fully English version of the song out there. She also sings a song called Daylight which is used as the theme of the 2nd season of Arifureta: From Commonplace to Worlds Strongest.

This Anime was a suprising Gem. Season 2 is incredible aswell.
That Time I Reincarnated as a Slime is a re telling of the main character of his second life as a slime after getting killed on Earth. The title itself was a spoiler and that he un died himself.
Back to the slime story part. its about him only wanting a slow steady slime life "slife" and slime are monsters. In summary its about him creating a village
This is a semi light hearted anime where the main character lives out their new life as a slime that wants the best for the world but everything doesn't always go as planned.
It's easily one of my top 5 anime that I've watched.
every time i watch the op 2 it's always almost got me cry, and that's be my Big Fav op in Tensura series.

I would absolutely recommend watching this one sometime! By far one of my favorite animes of the last few years.
It's largely light hearted with a few more tense moments, wonderful combat, epic moments from just about every character (even one's you might not expect when they do come up *cough cough* _Gobta_ lol).
An MC who, as overpowered as they may become, never acts cocky _nor_ naïve about their power and always puts the community they've built first and trusts in their companions. Some really good world building and a surprising amount of interesting politics regarding the nations of the world, the newly formed town our MC leads, and certain powerful entities.
Damn, now I wanna go back and rewatch it all LMAO
Slime is my absolute favorite series. I'm more into the novels than the anime since there's so many more details and things that they just don't have the run time to fit in the show, but it is an absolute gem.

My favorite song to listen to is probably Like Flames as well. The song which made my cry was Reimei, which was used as opening and ending for a couple episodes in season 2. Was an amazing choice to set the scene.
When my husband and I first heard of this it was "eh sounds ok we'll give it a shot". Show was not what we expected at all but quickly became our favorite! It's great!

Check out the full version of the 1. ED of that if you want your mind blown. Its by Aoi Yuuki, who you heard previously with "Los! Los! Los" from Tanya (Aoi Yuuki plays the MC in both)
Also, check out the anime "Symphogear", an action musical anime. The OPs of that are by Nana Mizuki. And, as a musical, there are atleast 2 songs in every episode.
Aoi Yuuki also plays the MC in Symphogear and has a ton of awesome songs there.

for a while this anime became something HUGE and the internet would not stop talking about it, after season 2 part 2 started releasing the popularity started to die down (probably because something more popular started releasing at the time) and the movie will be coming during January next year which has an original story created by the original story writer (unlike many anime movies which are non-canon) with season 3 most likely following at the end of next year due to the series getting so much attention and love from the fans
YES! This anime is beyond words it's so good. Lots of badass fight scenes and the humor is fantastic too. Definitely my recommendation for an actual watching. Watching these openings makes me wanna watch it all over again from the beginning :D

The last opening is by MindaRyn, a Thai singer. Quite fluent in English and Japanese too. She's been only recently (relatively speaking) in the anisong sphere so not many anisongs yet, but all of them are bangers.
And yes, it's my fav one.
This is a definite contender to watch after AoT, i highly reccomend, it's a mix of action, comedy and slice of life. The fans have another name for it which you'll find out if you ever react to it

I recommend also checking out the endings for this one too.

Your partly right on your assumption, it is a high action comedy about someone getting reincarnated as a slime, there is a spin-off with slime diary's that is just comical skits of the characters put in some peculiar situations. Definitely worth a look IMO.

Seriously, light story but it's so much fun. I originally read the manga first, then when S1 was released I couldn't wait for the next season and finally read to the end of the novel. The next season of the anime is out, and I'm back to reading it again and again lol

ah yes. One of my favorite Isekai animes ! What I love about this anime is how well the world building is, and how incredible well-made the characters are. It's a light-hearted anime yes...most of the time. It beautifully alternates between wholesome every day life with friends and serious threats you need to deal with in order to preserve this peaceful life. The world of anime is amazing
It's lighthearted most of the time, but it knows when to take itself seriously when it delves into the darker elements of the story. Fights are epic, you'll feel those pesky emotions, and just a great cast of characters that only amplifies the world building. Even if you dont react to it, you should still give it a watch at some point.
This is my first time leaving a comment on youtube. I've been watching your anime reaction videos for some time now and this is the first time I felt like I needed to tell you to watch an anime.
I've ignored Tensura for the looongest time but when I watched it, I regretted not watching it earlier. It's really SO GOOD! I know you have a lot of animes on your list but I'd totally recommend watching this one after AOT. It's really funny, epic and The main character is SO cool.

This Anime is defenitelly one of my favorites. Sometimes lighthearted, sometimes serious, sometimes badass. The general tone is a bit of a comedy but not always :).
This is my personal favorite anime. Thr story is very interesting and the animation fits the show so much. İf you have time to chrck it out definately do! İts not an extremely action packed show but it does have it's share of it.

I’ve watched it twice and I’ve enjoyed it a lot both times and that is why it’s top 5 for me
Definitely recommend this one. It's quite a good story, though there are only 2 seasons of the anime so far. It makes you feel good, it's got a great world, great characters, great action scenes. It's heavy about nation building, and can be a little slow at times because it's got some politics and stuff, but overall it's a great experience. It's got lighthearted moments and dark moments, but yeah, you should definitely watch something mildly lighthearted, for the most part, like this.

This was the biggest commercial success next to Overlord that kick-started the trend of Isekai (other world) anime that were either made from or made in the format of LitRPG. Without spoiling anything, the show's title is literal, and the story progresses in much the way you'd expect it to if you were playing the part of the protagonist in a fantasy RPG game. 10/10 would watch.
This is my favorite Isekai hands down, followed closely by Mushoku Tensei.
Have some isekai that I prefer, but this is easily up there
If you want to know the ones I place higher: Realist Hero, Twelve Kingdoms, Overlord, Bookworm, Grimgar, Here and There, Drifters. Mind you, 8th is still high, as I'm Isekai trash and have seen all of them

Ot has a bit of everything. All the chars are quite loveable. The artists give every background char even if they are seen only once as a passerby very much unique look to just them. It does get dark also. But mostly very light hearted.
Sad parts in it too. Very hit you hard in the gut. Has several seasons and a mobile game, has a spin off called slime diaries. And a new movie will be hitting theaters soon too so that should tell you how popular it got.
Also try out vandread. Episode 1 has the best opening line of any anime ever. It comes off as a comedy but i can tell you once you watch it to completion and then watch it again you realize how dark it wad all the time. Martian successor Nadescio is the same way.
Yeah that one sad part hit me way harder than any anime ever has before. You guys know the moment I mean.
Speaking of the background characters, I don't think many, if any, are reused. I recognised a few in that scene who should've not even been mentioned or brought to attention.
Vandread the mecha anime? That's one anime I will never forget. There's a line near the ending of the 2nd season that I helped me over the years

What I can say is that this anime, is epic, a complete package of funny moments, drama, adventure and action packed scenes that will make you love it and watch it over and over again. My favorite is definitely like flames!! This anime has humor, action, and more! It’s honestly one of my top 5 fav anime’s and I 100% recommend it. If you already watch it by now then you should already know this but the main character is a boy.. 😭
This show is easily up there for me alongside SAO, Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer and Haikyuu!. An incredible show that is still ongoing for good reason
There’s a side series for this anime called “slime diaries”, which has an opening and two endings, both of which are sung by the voice actor for the slime in this anime.
The vocalist for "Like Flames" is MindaRyn. She's a Thai cover song singer and the Slime producers caught her videos and asked her to do the opening song for Slime.
The last song was done by MindaRyn a thai vocalist who was super popular for doing anime song covers, but some time ago she did get a contract with a japanese label and now records original songs for that label, from which few of them became anime endings and openings. For the other anime she was in, you have Kamitachi ending and Arifureta season 2 opening.
Also regarding Tanya, this show will be getting a second season sometime in the near future but for now a date was not announced, though its almost a given it will be maybe around the Summer or Fall season of 2023 since the amount of air slots is still quite high.

This anime immediately got me hooked to it. It is one of the best isekais ever made. I got so hooked intact , I read the web novel then the light novel and the manga as well. And it just gets better. This is a much recommended anime for you.

Main character dies in our world and wakes up as a slime in a cave then meets one of the strongest creatures in the world (sealed away in cave) takes him out and starts to make a city in the outside but he is getting in the way of some of the greater powers in that world
He wants to make a town where he and his friends can live comfortably that's close to or better than our world along the way he is able to turn into a human and make many friends that help start a town
Thie is one of my favorite Anime of all time! I atleast re-watched this once per year since release i think. I even read the manga and light novels.. I am that addicted to Tensura (short name of the title).
You got the opening of the show right. It was really about a guy reincarnated as a slime. But it was so much more than that. This show is light hearted on the beginning but turns dark on season 2. You we're right about the protagonist that he's a nice character but there's a "don't mess with me" sign there. I highly recommend you to watch this! ☺️💙
