I'm strapped in for another gravy train ride to culinary nirvana here because I love chicken fried steak and this is gonna be an amazing gravy I just know it!!! And guess what I was correct this is a sublime looking gravy and oh well looking at the final picture of that steak my mouth isn't just watering its gushing😋!!!! Aweseome cooking once again Johnny Mac!!!
@@thesauceandgravychannel Yeah...Not sure how I missed that. Now I did look at the video on my phone vs my PC as i am now. Maybe the description was different!
The meat was fried in deep oil not sautéed. So there was no fond on the pan. The only thing in the pain were burnt bit which would only add a nasty burnt taste.
Why use milk and cream? It would be simpler and more consistent to use 1/2 and 1/2. Also, the oil from the frying can have burned bits in it which sour the oil. Plus, the oil just doesn't taste very good (or is that a Southern thing?). I use butter and add fresh spices if desired but usually just salt and pepper are needed.
Oh man!!! I haven't had country fried steak in ages! Ya got me craving now Johnny 😁 that gravy looked 👌 digging the shirt!!👍 thanks for sharing brother, have yourself a great weekend, you all stay safe!👍👊🍻

Lots more black pepper. And a splash of red hot sauce. You’d be amazed at what a drop or two of hot sauce will do for flavor.
Looks good. Not over doing it..Just right!
I could swim In this sauce 🤣 Seriously though, chicken fried steak and eggs is my guilty pleasure and the gravy is the best! Love this so much!
I could do a few laps in this as well. Thanks Melissa 😊👍

Ill give this a try. Looks really good
I did it, came out great.
My standard for that and other gravy is to deglaze with a touch of red wine, and I'm a sucker for a just a tad of curry and brown sugar.
Very similar to my method! :) except I add chicken powder instead of just plain salt. :)
Great substitute 👌 gotta love a good old gravy. Thanks for watching 👍
nothing better than a "SOUTHERN WHITE" gravy, huh? MMMHHMM. jk. I started it on the skillet and then put it in the Vitamix, it came out SILKY SMOOOVE!
Would have been nice if he mentioned what the dredging liquid was!

What about the fond left in the pan?

In this video you never mentioned the kind of steak 🥩 you used.

the oil that fried the meat has meat juices to add flavor; meat flavor

Good video! But there is no such thing as pap-a-rik-a. Three syllables only.
