Your guys dialogue reminds me of what goes on in my head when I’m talking to myself, and I do rerouting of my whole system 😁. Thanks for these videos!
Thank you for watching! Glad its at least enjoyable:)
Actually, most of the time I am just talking to myself...Dave and the camera just happen to be in the room...
Looking good Dave it is coming together for sure thank you for videoing this for us to follow along
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
Good job men. Thanks for the videos. Keep rockin
Thanks, will do!
There's nothing that isn't beautiful on this console. Even the cabling looks sexy...awesome Origin!
Thank you very much!
Make sure to have your I/O playback settings matching your outputs in the Apollo software. I just bought myself a console and after checking my signal path various times I started to go nuts. Check the software always! Love the video!
Thanks for the tip!
I commend you guys for being so patient.
Thank you
Ps I love the way you guys do the time laps to Beatles surf guitar music !
Thanks!!
I'm holding out for the Benny Hill Yakety-sax music...
I would love to see a video like this for the studiolive 32!
Search RUclips, maybe someone has done something like that
Maybe just one pass of izotope RX for removing the fan blow noise in the mic ;) ?
nope
ha ha.
Why don't you use console for your sends and return since you're doing a hybrid setup? All your verbs and compression can inserted from console
we are going to do that in part. Most of my compressors are stereo units so currently they are set up on the groups / busses. However, the Origin does not have a "insert bypass" on the group channels on the individual channels. That means you cant do a quick A/B taking the compressor in/out on the console. That needs to be done one the compressor itself, which is a bit of a drag.
Peace. I'm curious as to why you didn't run your interface outputs to the SSL Monitor Ins, and your 32 direct outs into the interface inputs at the patch bay?
no particular reason. there are 10 different ways to hook this stuff up
We're not using this as a recording console but rather a strictly mixing desk...going into the Monitor Inputs on the board bypasses the drive circuits on the preamps and we WANT the board color and the option to use the drive circuits...also, since we're not recording with the board we have no need to feed the Direct outs anywhere...the only reason we would need to do that would be if we were going to print each track back in, which we have no plans of doing...
@@DavidSJ_DAP ahhhh gotcha makes sense. Def want to get that tone on this mix
Orange Cuffs from home depot are your friend
I got a few of those!
What service did you use to ship the console?
Dont remember, I know we mentioned them in the video where we took delivery of the console. Search the channel archive and you'll find it
