I have no hardware compressors and been thinking about this for tracking. I just have a apogee Rosetta 200 so not much for outs and sending itb stuff out. However I have an API 512c and Great River pre on both channels. Mainly mono bass synths, and guitar going through a tech 21 blonde pedal. Seems like it would work move for balancing out leads on my ms20 and the harsh peaks, bass guitar, less distorted guitars and synths overall. As they have gone up to $230 or so in price recently. I’m just wondering if it’s even worth it over a plug-in. So many cheap compressors clones out there. Having a 2 channel interface, it’s been a very picky thing for me. As I can’t send tracks out, just tracking. So I don’t want to spend too much. But man it does sound good’
