I love this guy. I've always been passionate about fishing. I have been fishing my entire life and I'm 35, but my knowledge and skill was always lacking. Thank you for sharing your many years of fishing wisdom! When I take my daughter out to fish you had better be catching some or the trip will be short and discouraging. Some of these videos have helped me with my daughter who loves to fish because she's catching them using some of your techniques. It's also interesting seeing you fish places I grew up fishing with my dad years ago, especially at Guntersville Dam. It's a privilege having you in our neck of the woods! I just finished up cleaning some rather large gills and shellcrackers. I got a secret small lake that I go to that has some giants in Oklahoma. Its pretty small. 900 acres. I've watched every video you've put out. I still can't seem to find them in the fall and winter. It's like they disappear after the spawn. If you see this comment and remember it this fall can you please share some of that knowledge you got? Ill be searching for them a little harder this year. Thanks for all the good videos buddy! So he won't be fishing with me for some time. However he would love a shout out if you get time. I was out fishin today and got skunked again. Northeast wind blowin' irregular off and on. Mostly clear water in a creek. It was in the back of my mind if I had a worm hooked on my jig, it would probably be a better fishin day. Thanks for the tip. I'll try it next time I get those conditions.
I’ve never understand how Richard can fish these jigs from shore without losing a handful a day. Shore fishing on rocks is rough for snags.
Lighter jigheads greatly reduce snags . . . and also increase the number of bites
Throw a bobber over it. Just caught 30 crappies on those little jigs, not even any bait on it over weeds

Hey Richard, Thanks for another great fishing video. Just wondering if those bluegill taste better than crappie. I have ate crappie and they are delicious, but never had bluegill.
Out of cold water, crappie all day for me. But summer time or any warm weather, I’m taking gills.
