I don't have a boat or a kayak, so bank fishin is all I do, unless I go with a friend in their boat. Gotta love it!! You caught some slabs. Looks like a juicy spot.

I love it that you’re using a vintage Mitchell reel. When my grandpa passed last year I inherited all his fishing gear. I got serval of his old Mitchell’s. Got them back into working shape. They’re damn good reels.
I got hooked on crappie fishing 3 years ago. I had mostly fished for bream, flathead n catfish for past say 30 years. Crappie were great to eat for me but they didn't like redworms and nightcrawlers or crickets so i tied on jighead laying in bottom of my old tin, squeaky tackle box. I had several old tube jigs and i just randomly picked a chartreuse/white colored one which also was the only one of that color and i landed 2 crappie on first 3 casts off the bank of our fishing creek here. Crappies wore that jig out til there were hardly none of the skirt pieces left, like i say they were at least 10 years old in my tackle box. I tied on what resembled the colors mostly but it really wasnt even close lol. I did not get one more bite and i stayed at it just knowing any minute i would have another color they would bite BUT it never happened. It became personal to me that day lol and i have enjoyed every minute of it though patiece is true and i had plenty of it when it came to catching a crappie,2,3...bucket of slab crappie and what i call a slab is 10" my biggest is 17" but thats pretty good for a highly pressured creek round here. I stay after them and i thank ya fer these marvelous videos bo howdy lets catch another one!!!!

My goodness my gal and our youngest went out yesterday and today and caught 16 crappies between 13-15.75 inches we kept and our whole family is eating good we also let a couple dozen good ones go and a few small ones! We are so blessed and while our fish cook we watch your channel and life is good Richard keep catching those crappie love your channel!

I have one of those Mitchell 300 instead of the 308. That line needs changing lol...but it works.
