Dang i just installed a new rear spring on my bike, i don't realize i needed to grease those because there was not much on it if and... grrrrrrr guess i will be taking it apart AGAIN. Lol thanks!
Nice one Johny, I did that to my one during lockdown. Mine had similar levels of grease. May also be worth looking at your head stem mine didn't have much grease in their either. What is that wee jack you have? Looks quite handy
Hey dan. Yeah I better take a look at that head stem. The jack is an old DRC one I got maybe 6 or 7 years ago for my old 2 strokes. It has a weight limit of 150kg but it's never caused a problem with the dr650. I had to grind off the arm and position it lower and then re weld it as it wouldnt fit under the DR.
Suzuki needs a kick in the arse for that slack performance. Lots Suzuki could do to fix other minor issues but if the simplest thing was a tad more grease then what hope for anything else. What grease were you using out of interest? I like your vid style. Stay safe.
Thanks mate. Yeah absolute agree. The grease is waterproof industrial something. It's made for bearings anyway. My father uses it for his work loader and equipment. Thanks for watching
Luvin your posts. I have a new Dr. Just on 800km on the clock now. Interested to see you have done your first service yourself. I want to do mine myself as well but worried it may upset my warranty? Your thoughts?
Let me know if you would like me to continue the greasing and work on the steering head bearings for a final maintenance episode.
thank you for showing all the steps to remove the parts. Greetings from the USA!
Chers mate :) thanks for watching!
Thanks for that, Looks like it will be the next job I'LL be getting to.
I usually use a leaf blower to dry off all the water around all the bolts and wiring etc
Good idea!! I usually just run the bike until its alittle warm so the engine bakes most off :)
Thank you for the quality videos. Please do keep it up. They are very very useful.
Thank you! Appreciate it

Well done. Just interested to know. How many kms on the speedo. May give me an idea when to to that maintenance job.
This DR still only has about 1000km :) my previous dr had about 6000km when I did it to that one and it looked basically the same
@@NzJohny they said suzuki was freaking cheap on grease with this bike.. but man that is crazy cheap!
Thanks for all these!
My pleasure thanks for watching

Technically I think it may void some kind of warranty but I'd rather take the chance than someone else messing with it. Thanks for watching :)
Do you use marine grease as you could be crossing rivers?
Sure do. I used a waterproof grease :)
Where did u get that jack ?
That I cant remember now sorry :) I did modify it though to fit under the DR. Cut and re welded. Thanks for watching
