  • This is the last video I managed to get of #203 before it was put out of commission for good. It’s really sad to see these trucks go into retirement because I grew up with them. But the last time I visited the yard, they still have #203 and a handful of trucks including #309 and #202! So hopefully they’ll be used as spares is the near future.
Enjoy, and thanks to the driver for letting me film!

WMSacramento 7 I’m hope so too. So far, they’re sitting in the back of the yard collecting dust. They haven’t started parting them out yet so I’m not sure what their plans are. Thank you!

Great video! Too bad this is retired, especially with the Starlight body. Plus I wish Napa kept the red paint scheme.

I wish they’d kept the red paint too! It was very similar to the old NorCal waste scheme. Hopefully, they’ll be using the starlights as spares so I’ll still be able to see them floating around the city. Thanks! Glad you enjoyed.

Great video, too bad they did not refurbish the Wittke and convert it to CNG. It sure had great speed and seemed to have no problems. How many Labrie Wittke Curotto Cans does Napa have? Have you seen any Sonoma trucks lately?

Thank you! Yeah I was sad they didn’t refurbish and convert them. As if now they’re sitting in the back of the yard collecting dust. They still have quite a few of the original Wittkes and Labrie Experts but they’re just sitting there rotting. Napa currently has 3 Curotto Wittke/Labrie FELs; 218, 219, and 221. 221 is used as a commercial recycling truck and 218 is my recycle truck. I’m not quite sure where 219 is being used currently. I’ll have to go out and try to find it one day. I haven’t been over to so ima since 2018. LOL. I had plans to go during spring but those kinda got thrown out the window due to Covid-19. Hopefully I’ll be able to go over there sometime in the upcoming months.
