Little extra nugget of info about Arbalest that wasnt said in the video: regardless of difficulty, whether your playing a grandmaster or a hero nightfall, Arbalest will always be able to crack any elemental shield in one shot. Great vid btw!
Monte Calro + Sunbracers on top tree warlock is also incredibly busted You can get up to 6 grenades off a melee ability kill (thanks to sunbracers) and get the damage buff running
combine montycarlo with sunbracers for infinite melee and grenade :). every melee kill gives about 5 extra long lasting grenades to spam, and then just get your melee back and another melee kill to do it again. Shreds.
Good content. There's a few exotics here I love. Really like Sunshot but the trouble is that so much of the high level content such as the raids and nightfalls call for a mod so this hand cannon is obsolete. Still enjoy using it for low level strikes and ad clears. I've just got the arbalest catalyst. The weapon works well if you get precision shots but feels so underwhelming when you shoot a powerful ogre in the back. That long charge time and the little weak squidgy noise it makes when you fire. I find that by the time you've aimed to shoot, the enemy has moved and you've wasted a shot. I've heard that the Witch Queen expansion will offer the chance to get the Outbreak catalyst at which point I'll definitely be grabbing that. Really enjoyed this guide. Little pro tip for risk runner. Unless it has been patch (I do not know, honestly) you can self inflict damage with your own arc grenades and activate it's perk.
Bro ive been trying to get Sunshot for so long. Whenever I play a class I instantly find myself attracted to weapons and gear that can be linked back to that class. For hunters I love hand cannons because thats their signature weapon, and when youre first making a character the Hunter is using the Sunshot, but with Sunshot if you read the lore it was made by a Titan, and since Ive recently become a titan main once I found that out I wanted it even more. I have like 4 weapons left in Engrams, I keep pulling heavy ammo weapons and grenade launcher but eventually Ill get there
I was lucky enough to grab a sun shot as my third exotic on a new account. It’s all rng bro you’ll get one soon enough. I got crimson last night for example and was super stoked

@jakob brown wouldn’t it be dope if you had an small amount of intrinsic elemental resistance based on the subclass you have equipped. i.e. void subclass gives you small void damage resist. Stacks with void resist mods

Fun fact, you can also trigger riskrunners arc conductor by throwing a grenade that does ark damage at your feet. I'm a hunter whos build is mainly focused around combonation blow and doing this with risk runner is amazing and I can clear rooms filled with ads in seconds

would say one thing i used to be a very much free to play player and i got one dlc and got a whole lot of good guns, if u can afford just one mostly the best one being forsaken w the most good exotics in my head, go for it best one in my head and if second u ask definetely shadowkeep but one is more than enough as its alot of money. but for casual players one fusion rifle for free to players too, cartesion coordinate is legendary not exotic but one of the best special ammo fusion rifles to use. get that too, its very good this season hopefully next too. And u should be goated with it. pve or pvp, forsaken provides it. if not all the weapons he told are more than amazing enough, dw about what others have, most destiny 2 players care abt getting the job done rather than the best in pve, ofc pvp ud like to have the best but for pvp u need to get out of the casual stage, spending hrs so that might require time and money in the end so for pve all the guns he recommended are very amazing and u will get them in no time, just like a casual player like me

I got the Glaciocasm (spelled wrong it looks like), with the ''god roll'' with er the mod which the first shot does bonus damage, and then reload some ammo from reserves, when you get a kill. So extra damage on first shot,a nd if you get a kill it reloads. It, with no mods i've put to make it any better, can one shot a bunch yellow bars.
tractor cannon is my go-to in dares of eternity everyone's either running gjallar or wardcliff so we literally melt the bosses ofcz not everyone should equip it, only one person should be enough (to debuff the bosses)

Not in a bad sense, but some things I'd replace/add instead of others: Arbalest instead of Monte Carlo Trinity Ghoul (only when you have the Catalyst) instead of Hard Light, or Riskrunner, or Huckleberry (as it's effectively almost the same, with no need to aim nor deal with any mechanical shenigans) Although Arbalest was already in, what I mean is that there are options like Truth (which mainly is free right now: All Forsaken exotics are available for this period of time so...) Yeah, some are good, but some feel like a good "why". Love the way you introduce weapons to new people though, it is great!
Guess what the arbalest is a fusion rifle it doesn't work with the unstoppable fusion rifle mod so since it can't break anti barrier and unstoppables at the same time it's worthless

Back in the day years before D2 became F2P. I don't know how many times I've seen people rage quit from dying from a Sleeper Simulant or the Telesto but it was always funny afterwards when they sent me a voice message were they lost the ability to speak and instead sounded like a rabid fox! 🤣
Great video as always. I love ths Sunshot but getting that catalyst to drop seems impossible. I've been playing D2 for a year and a half and I still don't have it. Contrast that with getting Ace of Spades a week ago and already getting that catalyst to drop and Traveler's Chosen the week before that. I didn't have either weapon very long but I've had Sunshot forever and still no catalyst. I would suggest, with the nerf to stasis ability regen, the Traveler's Chosen (with or without the catalyst) is good to get those stasis abilities back really quickly. It will refund all abilities to 100% after 10 charged with light. It doesn't work for the super but for all other abilities, it's what I run. I replaced my Monte Carlo with Traveler's Chosen to keep my melee ability always ready.
Same. I've been trying to get the Sunshot catalyst for ages. Once I got the Skyburner's Oath, Wardcliff Coil _and_ Arbalest catalysts all within a couple strikes of each other. I could only be like "bungo pls giv me sunshot catalyst"

Xur brought Monte Carlo last time he appeared and as a new player it's really helping me out pretty great alongside the Assassin's Cowl I obtained from Shadowkeep quest. I've been combining the two with Solar to keep my Hunter Alive in PvE despite my low Resilience.
Trinity is not a free to play weapon. Currently ticuu's divination is the only exotic bow available for free to players. I don't even know if you can buy it at the kiosk after the season has ended.
I’m a noob at D2 and I’m trying to get the best hunter build currently using the scorch subclass and this is gonna help a lot. And the monte Carla will help me a lot because my scorch build is mainly for my melee ability so it’ll help really well

i higly recommande the outbreak perfect even tho it cost a great deal of material i still use it to this day as a veteran player with all of the exotics at my disposal ! he's just like my little baby.
Nice exotics but will stick with my exotic I got solo extremely easy and can melt thru shields and melt any player or enemy in the area Le Monarque is my favorite toy.
When you said Monte Carlo wasn't considered very good I was pretty confused nobody I know doesn't almost constantly use the thing (including me), it just feels incredibly smooth to use, has a pretty good mag, *and* gets you your melee back? Minding the uses of your melee to get back other things (I only play warlock but arc warlocks in general love this particularly with crown of tempests, and it helps you get stuff back indirectly with stasis builds for shattering enemies) and none of that even mentions SUNBRACERS
Is this still a viable list for the current season? I'm brand new to Destiny, been playing for a couple days only, but as I'm f2p until pay day I've been looking for something to aim towards in the game, grabbing some exotic weapons seems like a good bet

I have 1 question. Is it possible to get exotic engram drops when your are a free to play player? I used to play back when the game first came out with no dlc and I was able to get exotics from heroic events but I’m not completely sure if that’s possible anymore so I would like someone to clearly. And is it still possible to get exotic engrams from heroic events?

D2 has so many cool weapons, i spend most my time in game sweating over which one to use... You failed to mention one of my all time fav: Thunderlord machine gun. I mowed down so many mfs with this thing its absolutely insane.

I've only played this game for 2 days and I have the Monte and the Tractor, solo player with zero dlc installed. Now I just need to know how to upgrade them.
I don't agree with the Hard Light being on here tbh, sure it does it's job but the Arbalest is so much better. Witherhoard should have had that spot tbh, guns amazing

the catalysts for outbreak and sleeper are available again (I'm not sure about whisper I don't have it yet.) and riskrunner is going to be really good in season 18 due to arc 3.0 releasing. ignore anything about anti champion mods/seasonal artifact mods

If you really want to, you can put a pulse grenade on the ground on an arc subclass, then you can get the risk runner perk up and running

The Whisper now actually works differently. Every three crits it pulls 2 shots from reserves and 1 shot from thin air.

I got very lucky to loot an Arbalest during an astral run! I gotta say it destroys an enemy champion in 2 to 3 hits!
Legit everyone of these locations to get them solo was "get it randomly from exotic engrams" or "get it from kiosk"

Xur brought Monte Carlo last time he appeared and as a new player it's really helping me out pretty great alongside the Assassin's Cowl I obtained from Shadowkeep quest. I've been combining the two with Solar to keep my Hunter Alive in PvE despite my low Resilience.
Yeah it's a really good weapon and I really wish it had a catalyst.

Trinity is not a free to play weapon. Currently ticuu's divination is the only exotic bow available for free to players. I don't even know if you can buy it at the kiosk after the season has ended.

I’m a noob at D2 and I’m trying to get the best hunter build currently using the scorch subclass and this is gonna help a lot. And the monte Carla will help me a lot because my scorch build is mainly for my melee ability so it’ll help really well

Hi🤗yes U can get sunshot cat=U have to get so many kills with it then it will drop at hero nightfall.All my cats have dropped there days after using and actually receiving that WEP.jus grind nightfall and it will drop 4 you🤘💯✌️🌷😁💋👍

I used to use Monte Carlo with sunbracers for warlock, it was a lot of fun
i higly recommande the outbreak perfect even tho it cost a great deal of material i still use it to this day as a veteran player with all of the exotics at my disposal ! he's just like my little baby.
Nice exotics but will stick with my exotic I got solo extremely easy and can melt thru shields and melt any player or enemy in the area Le Monarque is my favorite toy.
When you said Monte Carlo wasn't considered very good I was pretty confused nobody I know doesn't almost constantly use the thing (including me), it just feels incredibly smooth to use, has a pretty good mag, *and* gets you your melee back? Minding the uses of your melee to get back other things (I only play warlock but arc warlocks in general love this particularly with crown of tempests, and it helps you get stuff back indirectly with stasis builds for shattering enemies) and none of that even mentions SUNBRACERS

Is this still a viable list for the current season? I'm brand new to Destiny, been playing for a couple days only, but as I'm f2p until pay day I've been looking for something to aim towards in the game, grabbing some exotic weapons seems like a good bet

I have 1 question. Is it possible to get exotic engram drops when your are a free to play player? I used to play back when the game first came out with no dlc and I was able to get exotics from heroic events but I’m not completely sure if that’s possible anymore so I would like someone to clearly. And is it still possible to get exotic engrams from heroic events?

D2 has so many cool weapons, i spend most my time in game sweating over which one to use... You failed to mention one of my all time fav: Thunderlord machine gun. I mowed down so many mfs with this thing its absolutely insane.
Try Monte with Way of a Thousand Cuts (Gambler's Dodge and Swarm'nade), Ophidia Spathe, Thermoclastic Blooming, Well of Life, Protective Light. Stuff's fun as heck. Merry Christmas everyone!

the catalysts for outbreak and sleeper are available again (I'm not sure about whisper I don't have it yet.) and riskrunner is going to be really good in season 18 due to arc 3.0 releasing. ignore anything about anti champion mods/seasonal artifact mods
Riskrunner is still my favorite gun. My friends make fun of me for not using a better exotic, but why would I do that when i love my little zappy smg?
