Any reason why some things wouldn't be accurate when Witch Queen gets dropped like stats being reworked or something or just not knowing if anything huge would change in WQ? Thanks for the video!
For those who don’t understand how the power levels work, essentially it’s just the average power of all your gear and weapons. Even if you get a 1203 helmet like he said in the video, that’s not gonna be a big enough of a difference to boost up your power level, because the rest of your gear would still be at the soft cap of 1200. And since your still at the 1200 total power level, the game might give you another 1203 helmet to “help” you level up in power despite needing 1203 armor and weapons across the board to reach the 1203 power level. And then you just need to keep building up from there.
I've read conflicting answers to this: do you need to have all the highest light weapons/armor EQUIPPED to ensure the highest possible rewards, or simply IN YOUR INVENTORY? Any expert info would be appreciated 👍
I'm pretty sure it keeps track of your highest average. I've always equipped then unequipped higher light gear just in case, and the game still gives me properly leveling items.

So. I am a returning player. I made the mistake of selling my Destiny 2 disc- however my data is still saved on Xbox. I've dowbloaded the free Destiny2 New light. If I buy the pack with all the expansions to date I am not missing out of anything right?
This video was not too helpful with the weapon power level for me. (Sorry if i missed it but i think he didn't explain my question) I have played Destiny 2 a few months ago actively but now i wanna start again with my weapons because i had a lot of god rolls and good exos. All my weapons are capped at the power level 1100 and i can't level them. Why is that so and do i need to get new god rolls to increase my power level enough?

@@Freedom-kl8rt and that's what I don't like. You pay for content that's gunna get removed within a year and they recycle old content from Destiny 1 and call it "new". That's why I went to Warframe.

Once u get the basic understanding of how the game works things will just go with the flow. Word of advice find some friends to play with cause it makes the game easier and way more fun. This will keep it from getting boring.
All of my homies stopped playing because they got caught up with their own lives. This was back in release, maybe just a year after. We went flawless in Trials of the Nine, did some raids together, speed ran, and had so much fun. We logged off for all these years and now I've reunited with a couple of them and we are about to get the ball rolling again. This video couldn't have come at a better time
Hey congrats! Destiny can be a very hard game to get back into because there’s so much to do, but this is definitely a game you need friends to play with

I suddenly felt the urge to start playing but then I remembered that I need to pay 60$ again for ps+, 20$ for beyond light, and 10$ for the season pass. Seems kind of hard to justify playing the game again for that amount of money tbh. But has there also been any new rumors regarding destiny 3? If a sequal to the second game is coming, then that might be a better purchase.
@@lahoudtouma185 Personally, I think its worth it. I play on xbox, so all the DLCs come free with game pass. The season pass is not necessary for your gameplay expirence, as all the exoctics that can be earned will be sold in the kiosk during future seasons. If you are a D1 player which I am not you could look forward to Vault of Glass coming back next season, as well as all the original raid weapons. The Witch Queen, Lightfall, and an unannounced DLC are all coming in their respective years. Stasis is a bit broken right now, but its also locked behind the Beyond light expansion, just like the following darkness subclasses will be locked behind their DLCs. Like you said, they can be expensive but they are critical to the gameplay. Sorry for the long response but in the end I would say its up to you, but I would give it a shot, especially if your friends are coming back.
Other than overly complicating the light level system (especially for beginners whos main concern is experiencing the game and not rushing to end game content) I'd say this is a very good introduction to the game. Might recommend it to friends if they're looking to getting into the game.
I don't know what to do In this game. I wanna buy it because I use to play f2p alot but there's not enough content to make me sway my opinion. I can't play any raids or strikes. I can't even get good looking gear.
@@jatensubii I mean you can get good looking gear I’m f2p and mine looks decent I just use ornaments from Ada-1, that and I infuse when I get a higher power level so I don’t have to waste enhancement cores upgrading my armor

i had such an unhealthy obsession with destiny 1 and i deleted my super high level warlock out of impulse and so i got destiny 2 when it was released but was upset and left it untouched. now im back like 3 years later and the obsession is back
get rid of it. the game makes you play at a super fast pace. the seasonal system is trash and they vaulted the majority of the good parts of the games. the game forces you to play as much as possible, because if you don't, you'll miss out on some trash content.

Just started replaying yesterday so this was really useful thanks! The only thing I'm gutted about is loads of the weapons I grinded for have been removed or just taken from my vault. Like the mythoclast for example =/. Feels like some nostalgia has been stolen from me
Same. I lost literally every single piece of armor and weapon I grinded for in Destiny 1 and all my stats. Ran the VOG raid about 50 times if not more. Sucks
i bought the 120€ edition when the game came out and forsaken and now i come to pc after 4y and everything i bought is free or gone and i cant get the forsake dlc to my pc even tho its crossplay this is sad

Does the power level affect you in the crucible, I’m around 1198 and everyone is at 1350, and it seems like I get pulverized with one shot. I’m a returning destiny player after a year not playing. Seems more complex than destiny 1, weapons etc. soo Will increasing my power level, would that help me in the crucible or it doesn’t matter?
You don't need a special weapon imo. I solo GM with 2 primarys and a heavy most of the time but maby I'm abit overpowered. Great video and everything was very clear. Keep up the good videos coming. Safe😎✌🏻
Looking back, games like destiny 1 and ark wasted so much of my time. Shit is insanely grindy. Once they started making all the gear/content I worked for irrelevant i quit destiny. How do you expect people to put 1000s of hours into a game only to have everything they worked for taken away. It is really dumb. The only positive thing I can take away from these types of games is the social memories I made.
Thanks dude. I had all my gear leveled up to 1321 and couldn't get past that and was so confused. I saw one of my clanmates having 1325 gear and got even more confused after that. I'm so glad I came across this video, now I have all my gear up to 1325 and at the pinnacle cap now. I absolutely loved destiny 1 and finished it aside from raids cause I didn’t have anyone to do it with, when destiny 2 came out I thought it was okay and finished the campaign however the dlcs didn’t look very fun so I just dropped the game, is it worth coming back to in 2021?

This is a perfect expectation vs reality video game. Story/Lore + Premise = Phenomenal (Expectation) Mechanics/Gameplay + Leveling System = Complete & Utter Shit. (Reality)
I hate to say it but it’s really the only way to get more content. They only give out so much for free. If you do enjoy the game it is worth it for the dlc
This video explained it so well that I literally don't want to play it now. Paid for base game plus season pass on launch on xbox. Stopped playing it until new light and paid for that new dlc. Ended up becoming free on gamepass. Later got a ps5 transfered my character and I literally can't play any content now. Just stuck doing base strikes.
Bungie makes it so confusing for new players coming back I haven't played since launch of Destiny 2 they should have all add-ons in a bundle with the new witch queen

I'm not sure I like the whole "season pass gating story content, and then it just disappearing from the game afterwards." thing, and I definitely don't like sunsetting story content... I just started, and I have no idea where to start in the story missions and campaign; It's really hard to piece together all the information as well that I already know.
My problem with destiny is none of these things you explain. I feel like there's a lot of secrets that you have to know to get the good stuff not to mention if you're playing by yourself you won't for very long lol this game is meant to be played with at least 3 people , six if you really want to have fun in raids

i bought the 120€ edition when the game came out and forsaken and now i come to pc after 4y and everything i bought is free or gone and i cant get the forsake dlc to my pc even tho its crossplay this is sad

Does the power level affect you in the crucible, I’m around 1198 and everyone is at 1350, and it seems like I get pulverized with one shot. I’m a returning destiny player after a year not playing. Seems more complex than destiny 1, weapons etc. soo Will increasing my power level, would that help me in the crucible or it doesn’t matter?
You don't need a special weapon imo. I solo GM with 2 primarys and a heavy most of the time but maby I'm abit overpowered.

Looking back, games like destiny 1 and ark wasted so much of my time. Shit is insanely grindy. Once they started making all the gear/content I worked for irrelevant i quit destiny. How do you expect people to put 1000s of hours into a game only to have everything they worked for taken away. It is really dumb. The only positive thing I can take away from these types of games is the social memories I made.

Thanks dude. I had all my gear leveled up to 1321 and couldn't get past that and was so confused. I saw one of my clanmates having 1325 gear and got even more confused after that. I'm so glad I came across this video, now I have all my gear up to 1325 and at the pinnacle cap now. Can't wait for the next season because the witch queen looks VERY promising
Update: I love the witch queen, and I have my gear level maxed out. I'm at 1567

Well play destiny one first with dlcs it's so much fun then do destiny 2
here's a tip: Destiny 1 is the exciting journey and Destiny 2 is the underwhelming destination (they got rid of good parts of the game)
I absolutely loved destiny 1 and finished it aside from raids cause I didn’t have anyone to do it with, when destiny 2 came out I thought it was okay and finished the campaign however the dlcs didn’t look very fun so I just dropped the game, is it worth coming back to in 2021?

This video explained it so well that I literally don't want to play it now. Paid for base game plus season pass on launch on xbox. Stopped playing it until new light and paid for that new dlc. Ended up becoming free on gamepass. Later got a ps5 transfered my character and I literally can't play any content now. Just stuck doing base strikes.

I know this is a year old. I assume the caps are higher now? I’ve been playing for 4 hrs and I’m at 1382.
I'm not sure I like the whole "season pass gating story content, and then it just disappearing from the game afterwards." thing, and I definitely don't like sunsetting story content... I just started, and I have no idea where to start in the story missions and campaign; It's really hard to piece together all the information as well that I already know.
My problem with destiny is none of these things you explain. I feel like there's a lot of secrets that you have to know to get the good stuff not to mention if you're playing by yourself you won't for very long lol this game is meant to be played with at least 3 people , six if you really want to have fun in raids
