Extremely fun to see Bama playing good defense again. That second half was the best defense they've played against a quality opponent since the 29-0 win over LSU in 2018.
The biggest improvements in Bama's defense this year are pass rush, turnovers forced, and defensive TDs.+ 2 in turnovers this year, even last year. 29 sacks through 8 games this season, 38 total sacks last season. Also, timely def. TD's against MSU & Tennessee.
This 2023 Crimson Tide squad is growing on me so much right now. And depending on the outcome the remainder of this season. This may very well be my favorite Crimson Tide football team. I have always been so proud that I was born Nov 1978. On January 1st 1979, Bama had the greatest goal line stand in college football history with the Sugar Bowl win over Penn St 14-7. Bama went 11-1 overall, 6-0 in SEC play, won both the SEC and NC. They went on to go 12-0 (6-0) in route to their 3rd SEC title in a row, 8th in 9 years, second national title in a row, Bear Bryant's 2nd B2B NC's ('64 - '65). So I love to brag that I was born on a national title year, turned one year old on another national title year, and I have a son that was born in '09, and a daughter that was born in '12. And those weren't planned like that. But they were and it's awesome lol. I got to see my first title in 1992, and that was a very special team. And that's what I love about this sport. Every team is different from the previous. But one thing always remains the same for alot of these major programs, Bama especially. They will always win national titles. It's what Bama does! And by the way Nate Oats is building the basketball program. I truly believe he will lead a team eventually to a national title. Or at least a final four. And I have no doubt about the latter. I just hope Alabama pays him well when the time comes, and a team like UNC, UCLA, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan St, Syracuse, Florida, Texas, Kansas, and any other program looking for a great recruiting coach also with great X & O knowledge, doesn't try to snag him away. I believe Alabama has the best basketball coach in the country right now. Anyway, love the rewinds. Especially the old games, back when I was 6, 7, 8 years old lol. 😂...😅...😢...I miss being young. 😊 #RollTide
Funny I’m 63 years old and I was at that Sugar Bowl game. I’ll never forget that game!!! Was friends with a few guys on the 78 and 79 back to back championships
It was a snap infraction so no one was ready for it, but he handled it anyway. No Tennessee fan gets to complain about officiating after they got almost 20 penalties on Alabama in 2022, including that phantom pass interference that negated what was by right the game winning interception. Tennessee even got help from the officials in this game - the uncalled punch to the head of Roydell Williams should have carried an ejection and moved Bama into the red zone.
Guessing the punch to the head from One of your guys not getting called helped Bama too? Or didn't you see that one? Maybe the 17 penalties on Bama in Knoxville last yr.?
@@TravisBrown-ld5xb Snap infraction/illegal snap is a dead ball penalty. Functions exactly like false start, because it's just a false start on the center. Look it up.

Only penalty they called on Bama all day actually helped them, qb wasn’t ready for the snap.

@@BamaRewind that’s not how a snap infraction works big boy.
