How To Change Motorcycle Oil and Filter - Kawasaki Ninja 250r

Changing the oil on my recently bought Ninja 250r. Bike sat for a little over a year so thought it may be good to change out the oil and filter for a fresh start.

Is the shell oil you used not car engine oil? May not be designed for a wet clutch motorcycle!

Thanks for the video. I have heard it’s not a good idea to use the torque wrench for undoing bolts/nuts. Google it.
We just got a gpx250 for a learner. Seems quite good so far.
What’s the difference that the ninja has over the gpx250?

Manufacturers booklet will say, however I did mine every 5000 kms as I rode pretty aggressively

Semi Synth should not be used... Full Synthetic only, also car oil can cause clutch slippage, surprisingly (even to me) after doing some research the best oil is not 4T rated bike oil either, the best oil to use in the Ninja 250 (2008 - 2012) is..... Full Synth 5w - 40 (or secondly 10w - 40) diesel engine oil for pick up trucks!
