Hi Ray, I'm a tradesman here in Canada and I know how you feel. These scum bags who go around stealing stuff deserve to be punished for the harm they are causing honest working people. It drives you mad.
When I was burgled and guns were stolen, the police never entered them into the computer. When we caught 2 kids and called the police, telling them we were holding the thieves at gunpoint, they arrived before we could get off the phone. Gotta protect the city's preciousss little thieves.
get a few capacitors, store juice in them from alternator. use capacitors for the shock charge...yes it might kill them...but either way, they won`t steal from you again.
It is static electricity, it won't electrocute them. It is the same type of electricity used in millions of agricultural electric fences all over the world. When you get into the higher voltages like automotive SPARK PLUG voltage (not to mention lightning) it can definitely kill.
My dad connected 20KV to his tractor to stop the petrol thieves. Found the fuel cap on the ground one day but no fuel missing. You can do the same today by connecting a stock fencer to your vehicle body. The tires insulate it from the ground.
Have a mate who spent a couple of years in Saudi Arabia. He said he was surprised at the number of people with only one hand but never saw anyone with no hands.
So proud that he just didn't take it...he took matters into his own hands and helping many others at the same time. More people should be proactive about protecting yourself and your livelihood.
My husband and some of his buddies were in our detached garage, big door open, having a visit, on a beautiful summer's eve, when I noticed a van drive by, slowly, and I saw the driver looking into his sideview mirror to case our garage. He noticed that I had him in my sight, so he took off. I should have gotten his plate number. The next morning he broke into our garage, the guy was massive (6.5" +/-). He tossed, full to the brim, large tool boxes into his van like they were empty. We traced our tools (a rare one) being sold on those online sites, from 100s of miles away.
@Inthe Flow You recommended the most expensive tube-fed semiautomatic shotgun and the least reliable mag fed semiauto shotgun. A person with actual experience would recommend an affordable, reliable pump action - you recommended your favorite call of duty loadouts.
What’s sad is that most vans are too easy to break into in the first place. Love what Ray has done, but when you spend £20-30k manufacturers should be more accountable
Great job Ray 👍🏻 As a tradesman myself I know how important tools are to a working man.... My sparky mate has wired his garden water sprays to PIR so anyone triggers the sensor gets wet through 😂👍🏻

Should be standard on all vehicles, shock these buggers. If every vehicle will hurt them rather than an option as that might be noticible as opposed to non option and so they know which have and dont have.
LOL, I researched for an article on a similar subject some years ago; apparently, manufacturers (back in the 1980's/90's allowed £5.00 for car security! LOL
I stopped one. Brke into van stole sat nav tools batteries etc. All caught on the dash cam . Posted on local FB page where he was named within a few hours. Caught up with him at the local chemist queuing for his methadone. .
Ooooh yes you can. And you may also correct his lack of education. Only a matter of persuation from his new friends, for his own good. When properly identified, even the dumbest gets the idea, loud and clear...
You can. When someone chooses to put himself or herself above and ahead of my family, my wife and children by STEALING what amounts to food from their mouths, my response will always be this: kill them. If YOU CHOOSE to be a threat to my wife and children, then I will do everything in my power, aided by ten years of military airborne training and service, and 7 years of LEO training and experience, to put a stop to your threat. And let’s face it, my primary training always comes to the front in this type of situation. Your life is in your hands.....
Now that's an idea. wire in a tiny Wi-Fi micro camera on the inside facing outwards at eye level and have a raspberry pi configured to automatically send any motion captured images or start recording the second the door handle is pulled. That way not only will they get stung by the stingray, but also stung by the police when there is photographic evidence.
Stingray...FREAKING AWESOME! Is the advanced model called the DEATHRAY? Can you add a camera so when it is activated you get the scumbag's picture and be able to give it to the police or even to the tradesmen so they can be on the lookout for these evil people?
This happens because the police are to busy writing tickets instead of trying to stop thieves, they know that the tradesmen will have to buy new tools so it’s good for the economy right? Lol this makes me so mad when cops don’t even try to make a difference, we have been broken into 4 times in the last year and the police didn’t even come out, they just said come down to the station and fill out a report, and then they asked if we knew who was doing it, to which I said if I did I’d shoot the prick myself and save taxpayers dollars, but that’s not legal I guess 🤣
@Captain Insano Shows no mercy in our case we got a great clear shot of the guy and girls face, because they kicked the door into the office and the cops still didn’t do anything, but when the same couple broke into the work site where my brother works and the alarm went off the cops said don’t try to stop, because they might be dangerous, and it took the cops 3 hours to get there and it’s only 45 minute drive from the station, to me it seems like they wanted to make sure the thieves had enough time to get away.
@@rob3326 that’s a big part of the problem yes, here I believe it has a lot to do with the money that the police make off of traffic fines, it makes more financial sense to right more tickets than it does to stop thefts.
Hell I wish the cops around here would write more traffic tickets. It would put a dent in the retaliations (road rage). You can always post these clear pictures publicly, with a description of their actions. No one can stop you, it’s not slander or libel if it is factual. If you do that though, be prepared to lay in wait. They will come back for revenge for outing them to teach you a lesson. Shoot them up with an automatic paintball gun. Non-lethal defense of a felony in progress. Or, just wait for them to come back if they felt it was an easy score they will return. Kill em when they break in. Self defense and defense of your home is legal. End of problem.
Here stateside, we do something similar. Instead of electricity, we rig it up with a double barrel 12g shotgun. Decreases the chance the offender will try it again at a later date.
Claymore mines work better. Worked great on a Ford van in LA back in 1974. 4 minced meat bodies. 5 minutes to swap back the original doors. It never happened again!!!
As long as it is designed and intended to be non-lethal, clearly posted (which it is), and it will not harm innocent people, then how can they object?? If you added a chemical dispenser to it, especially inside a locked and alarmed door, that would be perfectly legal and acceptable as well. Me personally I believe that all tool thieves should be hung. Simple as that. If you choose to take away a person’s ability to provide themselves and their family a living, you are threatening their lives. Self defense doctrine. If you make the choice, you better know what the consequences are and can be.......... steal from me at your own peril. For those who say this is too harsh or draconian, you would do well to understand that people only obey laws because the punishments are deemed not worth the risks. The veneer of “civilization” is very thin indeed, and it is not voluntary at all.
We had this in South Africa years ago. The two main drawbacks is that passengers would sometimes get hold of the door handles before it was deactivated and the handles would fizz and short out when it rained.
Years ago (early 1970's) my father walked over to his truck and found some thug rummaging around in his work truck...My father grabbed him and my fathers helpers came over to see what was up, my father said when I'm done with you, you shouldn't' be stealing any more. ..My father took his hammer and smashed all ten of his fingers while his helpers held him down. I finally bought a Chainsaw that would start when I wanted it to start. I heat my cabin with wood and usually cut it myself. I'd used the saw a few times with few hours on it. Someone came on my property and stole it out of my tool shed. I don't have the money to buy another saw but I was given one that needs adjusting and it wears me out trying to start the thing. In twenty four years living out here no one has ever stolen anything from me. I guess the shiny new tool was to much for the thief.

@@viperdemonz-jenkins It's a low thing to do to someone. I don't understand the mind of a thief. I don't have spare change lying around the house either and I depend on cutting my own firewood for the winter.
For years i had no door at all on my shed- it swelled with water damage and since my Dad originally built it it was not standard. 6 weeks ago i had a new door rigged up- it is actually a piece of fence that anyone could pull a slat from but it was the correct size. Last week someone went into the shed and stole my grill. A 20 year old cast iron bucket on a stand to put charcoal in, not even a propane tank. I really think it was my neighbors and that the "new door" made them think there must be something worth stealing. I wish i had never tried to improve the property- but the City decided a door was paramount.

Love this get it up. I have had my tools stolen twice. Once the thieves had cut a hole through the side of my trailer. I lost about 25k in tools. Police said they could do nothing about it. Wouldn’t finger print or investigate. Best they could do is for me to go look in local pawn shops. I engrave my tools for insurance purposes. So I might be able identify my tools. Police were no help. Second time was in a box store parking lot. Cart boy would call his buddies that were staged in another parking lot. They would come and blitzkreig the trucks and trailers of builders. Take what they could in mere moments and leave. Store said they were not responsible for the parking lot. Eventually I had to go to the other stores and ask for surveillance camera to see if they could spot anything. They did thankfully. Then my insurance said they wouldn’t pay because it was the store’s responsibility. Long story short. I would love to shock the crap out of anyone who tries to take my tools again. Great job Ray!!

Even more years ago in Liverpool a Somalian shopkeeper who was fed up of the break ins sat behind the door with a First World War handgun and let next burglar have it. I did this with an old ignition coil wired to a security bar on a caravan door years ago. If a thief can't get behind the wheel he can't drive so push the drivers seat fully forward and drop a bolt in a hole in the runner. Installed in the factory it could have a key operated lock. Sent that idea to Ford years ago but they weren't interested. Hidden switch for the fuel pump would allow the car to be driven until the carburretor was empty then stall in the middle of the road. This is on the old days of Mini's, Escorts and Viva's. An ankle clamp bolted to the floor which sprung when the brake pedal was pressed would stop the car being driven any further and trap the thief. Unfortunately as it's a man trap it's not allowed. I thought of more unpleasant devices but they're even more not allowed.

When I was burgled and guns were stolen, the police never entered them into the computer.
When we caught 2 kids and called the police, telling them we were holding the thieves at gunpoint, they arrived before we could get off the phone. Gotta protect the city's preciousss little thieves.

That is so painful.

The problem is the courts don't give any serious consequences. They get 30 days or probation.

Good on u Ray..keep the electric flowing by plugging it straight in to the 240v UK mains .
Excellent this means the cops were good with the system. I just saw the previous video and was wondering if they approved it.
Need a solenoid clamp that pins the hand... maybe some pointy bits... haha
A higher voltage would do the same thing.
Use AC voltage and it causes the muscles in the hand to contract so they can't let go until the alarm is switched off.
We had this in South Africa years ago. The two main drawbacks is that passengers would sometimes get hold of the door handles before it was deactivated and the handles would fizz and short out when it rained.

They would come and blitzkreig the trucks and trailers of builders. Take what they could in mere moments and leave. Store said they were not responsible for the parking lot. Eventually I had to go to the other stores and ask for surveillance camera to see if they could spot anything. They did thankfully.
Thanks for those ideas
