They are a 5 piece. BAND MAID is: Miku Kobato (小鳩 ミク) - rhythm guitar, vocals, PR (Band founder, lyricist ... our flappy pigeon, po!) Kanami Tōno (遠乃 歌波) - lead guitar (musical composer extraordinaire - the princess) Akane Hirose (廣瀬 茜) - drums, percussion (see bananas ... and ramen - the gorilla) MISA MISA MISA - bass guitar (drinks hard liquor and performs without shoes on stage - the barefoot assassin) Saiki Atsumi (厚見 彩姫) - lead vocals ("we dance in the palm of her hand" - Domination - The Queen) 2022 US tour announced on 12/25/21 All these girls have solid equipment deals with premier makers.
Glad to see you come back to Bandmaid. It must be tempting to stay with more commercial K pop and other mainstream music as this helps to grow your channel quicker. However, I appreciate that you give this band more exposure. I recommend the following ( all live ). From the same concert as Domination, either Freedom (great drum solo) or Play ( incredible Intro). From 2018 Real Existence, a real rocker, or Onset ( an instrumental masterpiece). Keep up the good work.
What separates Band-Maid from all other bands: strength of song writing, proliferous creativity, quality and depth of musicianship, unique Individual style & captivating performance, palpable band synergy, expansive soundscape, and consistency of excellence. All of that requires years of long hours of hard work, laser focus, compatibility, and a shipload of talent. Piece of cake!🍰Thx, Bros!
Nice. I think you mentioned before you were in Washington state. They actually had set at Sakuracon in 2014 in Seattle. The one and so far only time there. It was the first time they played outside of Japan. Their MV for Before Yesterday has shots of them in Seattle and Fremont.
Band-Maid just announced a 2022 U.S. tour - no details yet. With a 110+ song catalog a lot of your favorite songs will not make the setlist. Of course they could pull a Springsteen and change the setlist every night. We'll see. The show will be amazing no matter the setlist. Dice was my first song and will always rank right near the top. Try ONSET-LIVE next (instrumental) or REAL EXISTENCE-LIVE. Kanami does not like so much time between reactions. So step it up because BAND-MAID is Awesome and Fun. Peace.
Another great reaction! Thanks guys. You've got to see a double live performance of Manners and Black Hole. Manners is bass heavy and bluesey while Black Hole is like speed metal. These two songs show their great range. Enjoy !
Ah here you are finally. "Dice" is my gateway drug to everything BAND-MAID. What's yours ? Let's have "Warning" and "Freedom" (live version) next, and "Daydreaming" after those !
Now that you mention it, you must be the luckiest guys around because they announced a US tour on 2022 at Christmas day. No further details yet but keep an eye on it! 🤘🕊️
Too many Band-Maid songs to recommend. But if I have to pick one, I'll go with "Different". You've reacted to the top bunch of j-rock bands I would name, except for Gacharic Spin. Def check them out. Look for "I Wish I". They're more in the hard rock vein, so if you want something more metally, look for Hagane's "Super-Villan". Both bands are all-women.
And yes, you're going to get 10 different Band-Maid songs from 10 different commenters. Each rec is great so maybe throw them all into a hat and pick one?
They are a 5-piece band. I believe you forgot the rhythm guitarist Miku (band founder, lyricist, band spokespigeon). And you said Bands Maid again at the end of your video😂 Happy New Year! Stay safe and Peace&Love, PO (P_O)🕊💕
They're supposed to tour (crosses fingers) the U.S. this year! I suggest the following Band Maid songs: Manners, Bubble, The Dragon Cries, No God (live), Real Existence (live) & Warning (live)
This was the first Band-Maid song I heard, and watching their videos, especially learning Miku's story of learning guitar after forming the band has inspired me to learn guitar. This riff is one of the first one's I'm trying to learn. Also, Miku's guitar in this video is a Zemaitis PFG24, which is one of the most beautiful guitars ever made. Sign up on their official site for when they announce US tour dates. For my other favorite Japanese band, check out Wagakki Band. I'd start with this video: ruclips.net/video/Xjwe9WyO8Qs/видео.html&ab_channel=FrankGarc%C3%ADa
BAND MAID has announced a US tour for 2022! No dates yet! Miku Kobato - RHYTHM GUITAR - plays Zemaitis C24MF (Zemaitis Endorsement - with a Signature Guitar called Flappy Pigeon) - EVH Amps - Writes the lyrics - Has only been playing guitar for about 7 years. Was the singer but took a back seat voluntarily! KANAMI TONO - LEAD GUITAR - plays PRS Custom 24 (PRS Endorsement) - Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier. - Writes the music (one interview she states that she has a database - 2 years worth?!?!) Misa - BASS GUITAR plays Black Cloud "Smoker" and Privat Reserve (SG Style) bass - (Black Cloud Endorsement) Orange AB200B MKIII Amps Akane Hirose - DRUMS - Plays TAMA drums with Zildjian Cymbals - Roland KD-A22 (Possibly an Endorsement with TAMA and ROLAND) Saiki - VOCALS - Sennheiser microphones and DPA Microphones
Bad mistake. You seem to have forgotten Miku, the soul of the band. She is most important, not only because founder, but pushing the others to come out of their shells. If you watch Sakis behaviour at the beginning and now, there is such a big difference. You have to watch their acoustic concert from 25th Dec., this has blown me away, best one I have ever seen. Also the discussion of the maids before the last song, especially between Saki and Miku, was so much fun. And you can hear Akane ( drums ) and Misa ( bass ) sing. Never thought I would ever hear that. Best band on the planet.
You can't forget Miku, who is not just a talented member of the band, but the founder and the spokesperson of the band. She's the only one who seem comfortable enough being on commercial tv, too. Anyway Dice is another banger, next stop, Moratorium! Cheers and happy new year!

Let me suggest the all girl Pop-rock/punk-pop band SCANDAL. They are mostly Pop-rock but are not afraid to play with other genres, therefore their sound is really all over the place. SCANDAL is considered the number 1 all girls band in Japan having formed in 2006 when still in High School and Junior high. They are still going strong today with a new album coming out this month. Scandal have had a huge influence on the female musician scene in Japan having inspired countless young girls into picking up instruments and forming bands. Here is a link to a live performance of their song Hi Hi Hi - ruclips.net/video/oefOQSSMSmQ/видео.html

Better new year guys! Thanks for reaction. You might like "Blooming" MV or "Play" live version next
You have to react to blooming by Band-Maid.
Do you think they are ready for my favorite BAND-MAID song? 🤔
@@2abug I think so, blooming has everything Band-Maid has to offer in my opinion. It’s one of my all time favorite song .
Your unison giggling at the start of Kanami's guitar solo (4:31) said it all.
They are coming, announced 2022 Tour a few days ago.

Tour de force. US Tour 2022 is on. Dates forthcoming. There is no finer hard rock band anywhere on the planet today. Sacramento loves Band-Maid.

I second "I wish I".
I would go with "Moratorium."
They haven't reacted to Wagakki Band yet. That's my next favorite Japanese band after B-M.
Since you like punk rock type songs I recommend you check out "Blooming". You will be soooo happy.

For musical ability/ instrument proficiency, my guess is you'd probably like Asterism.

How can you remark on the 'strumming in the back', while not seeing or acknowledging the rhythm guitar?
For the next react, try song Don't You Tell Me (live) and Take Me Higher (live), battle guitars between Misa and Kanami.
