Your favorite song will always be the next song you hear... I only have ONE favorite song (Puzzle) out of over 120 all the other songs are on the same level for me personally... They never miss... Domination, Blooming MV are some suggestions from my side.... Domination is FILLED with solos from everyone and an BLAST... Blooming is very punkrock heavy with an totally CRAZY solo from Kanami (leadguitar). I think that is what you are looking for and gonna fall in love with. Just as an F.Y.I., only the live version of "Domination" (primarily the Shibuya Line video) has all of the solos; if I remember correctly, the MV only has Kanami's solo (although I might not remember accurately)...I remember seeing it after watching the Shibuya version several times and feeling it was a little empty when comparing them.

a common comment during reactions of band maid is "i don't understand the words but it doesn't matter as it sounds great" and that's a very solid fact. i always tell people who i show the band to that even though you don't speak Japanese and only understand the parts of songs in English just think of the words as another band instrument, we cannot speak guitar or drums or bass but we know when they sound fantastic and there no part of this band that isn't fantastic

Dice, the first song I heard from BAND-MAID back in 2018 shortly after it dropped, been a hardcore Maidiac ever since. I was immediately blown away, especially by how prominent the BASS is! It's something rarely heard in Hard Rock/Metal in the West, but is relatively common in Japanese Rock... I totally got a Paramore vibe (who I like) from it too! 😆 Oh BTW Nick, you nailed the name pronunciations. 👍

Agree with all the songs being recommended oh and they do killer ballads as well, Daydreaming and About Us to name but 2 (and Anemone an oft missed stunning gem of a song). Also if you can find Puzzle and Anemone acoustic live, they will break your heart.

There are way too many great songs to suggest but for great playlist music try the MV's for Warning, Blooming, Rinne, Manners (an amazing groovy mid-temp song) and don't ever forget the power ballad DAYDREAMING. You guys will learn.... you literally can pick *ANY* of their 110+ songs and it will blow you away. They have *NO* filler songs on their albums, EPs, B-sides. Every song is excellent. Randomly pick one. You can't lose.
After this, I think you would enjoy the Official Live Video of "Play", which was originally a "pee break" instrumental also, but Saiki went to Miku and said "why can't we have lyrics ?" Miku said "sure" and the result is AMAZING. I think it is the best song live song where Saiki gets the crowd REALLY riled up. You have to react to it.

I don't recall too many other groups who were this in sync in a continuous state like this. It's all about the group and what they can accomplish.

New Madiacs (that's what we call ourselves) are so much fun to see. It brings back how I felt when I first started with the band years ago. Thanks for the refresher guys, and it is a fact that any song you choose will blow your socks off. But I think you should maybe try something from their newer stuff next. Try Manners/Black Hole a twofer live that gives you some groove and some progressive rock in the same video. Enjoy!

Please check out the LIVE version of DOMINATION as your next BM song since you haven't fully experienced the great audience interactions and the masterful crowd control by the lead vocalist. The song, as the lead track for their World Domination album, was written as their declaration to the world that they're coming to dominate all of us with their music.
Dice and Rinne are songs which you better watch in the studio version. But in general you should watch official live versions. Musically they are as good as the studio versions, but they re-arange sometimes the songs and add new parts to it and you have also the interaction between the Ladies....much more fun to watch and listen.
About time guys! Wait till you hear more of their live shows! Dice is my top since it was my first but I've come to love many many more from them. Not a one I dislike. They get both harder and softer than Dice but it always sounds like Band-Maid.

Dice… as great as it is, is not their best song. Not by a long shot. But that’s not an indication of how awesome they are. No, what really indicates their awesomeness is just HOW MANY songs are as good, or better, than Dice! Not dissing the song because, as I said, it is terrific… it kicks most non-Band Maid songs asses… just painting a picture of what awaits you on your journey. Manners/Black Hole official live… you’ll not regret it. You’ve not heard stuff from their new album yet, and that’s a great place to start.
Honestly, go to their RUclips channel, sort the videos to oldest first, and go. Every song will put the same smiles on your face. And those are only the tip of the iceberg for Band-Maid. To beat a dead horse. Every song of their 100+ catalog is better than anything else coming out today.
The good: Drum/bass intro, guitar slide-ins, bass/guitar additions to 2nd verse, bass solo, guitar solo, the breakdown, drum outro. The great: the transition between solos where MISA starts the phrase and Kanami finishes it. Dice is in contention for best song on World Domination - along with at least 5 others. My over-all favorites - the list breaks down after a clear top 5: 1 Manners (live or studio) 2 Corallium 3 Moratorium (live especially) 4 Blooming 5 Play (live) 6 Puzzle 7 About Us 8 After Life 9 Freedom (Live) 10 Don't you tell me (live with the power trio) And I had a hard time keeping it to 10. Dice might be top 15. Maybe.

all their songs are their best songs. check out Alone. it was the first song their label let them write entirely on their own, and they absolutely proved themselves. one of the best Kanami solos. other than that it depends what you want. if you want heavy, check out Rinne. if you want vocal fireworks, the live version of Wonderland. oh, and Domination live is mandatory. that's their statement piece, it's them saying "this is us, here we are. you with us? then let's effin' go!"
You want Anime music? “Different” and “Sense” are both written as intros to Anime series. And IMO, a couple of their best songs for just plain organized chaos. Easily becoming the best band in the world.
Thier songs are different. Ha! they have a song named "Different". But they play any style so there are no limitations on what they will do next. They start off with a metal beat, move into more a hard rock, throw in a catchy kind of pop rock chorus, get the crowd involved like the punk rockers of old, then seamlessly transition into a breakdown with a couple face melting solo's, throw in a couple more changeup's to continue escalating the song through the outro. That might be all in just one four-minute song. Then their next song might just be the tastiest retro groove rock masterpiece you ever heard.

Hey guys just a couple suggestions if you want to go with MV try ( Blooming and Choose Me) just for starters. They have so many great videos to choose from. Band Maid is definitely the Greatest Musically Talented Band goin today. I'm a 62 year old Maidiac and enjoy Band Maid for every song and video they've done.
Not being condescending guys, every song is one of their best songs. Some of my personal recommendations Blooming official MV, Sense official MV, Rinne official MV, Real Existence official LIVE performance (live is better but both are great) all on their channel. OK Guys ; couple of dares for you; unplayable covers from Band Maid; dare listen to ''No God'' , '' Black Hole''. or ''Sense''; there is actually a duo listen with , ''Manners'' and ''Black Hole'' in tandem.Then , ''Without holding back'', '' Non-fiction Days'' and possibly ''HGK'';those should send you where few have been; These girls are fearless. Best rock on the planet or this side of the milky way ; period!!But then is it just that they are hot girls having at it totally; you can also learn of the maid cafes in Japan that were until recently the rage in entertainment out on the town; a low paying job for younger women in dire work conditions.Why they would choose to play rock instead with a vengence; Miku , founder,kanami(lead guitar and comoser) and akane(gorilla on drums) friends in music school, then misu(whiskey drinking barefoot assassin on bass and seiki last as they were seeking a front singer for miku who would pick up as of late the rhythm guitar and back vocals .Result a most improbable arrangment of outcasts and kindred spirits with nothing to loose but a crashing end to rock dreams and the living legends they are becoming.; the rock world will never be the same. the guy bands will need some serious chops upgrade in the near future.The league of krafty gorgeous japanese rock godesses are way ahead and Japan can't get enough of them;their US tour next october22 is sold out everywhere.Bound for glory!!??
You guys will learn.... you literally can pick *ANY* of their 110+ songs and it will blow you away. They have *NO* filler songs on their albums, EPs, B-sides. Every song is excellent.

After this, I think you would enjoy the Official Live Video of "Play", which was originally a "pee break" instrumental also, but Saiki went to Miku and said "why can't we have lyrics ?" Miku said "sure" and the result is AMAZING. I think it is the best song live song where Saiki gets the crowd REALLY riled up. You have to react to it.
Also the live official versions of "Domination", "Choose me", , "Don't You Dare", "Real Existence", "The Non-Fiction Days", "Rinne" and a whole bunch more.
Play is one of my favorites......did Saiki ask Miku for lyrics or did she twist her arm ? 🤔 Either way, its a great song !!
@@lonniekramlich6241 I don't think Saiki had to twist anything. Band-Maid is almost like a hive mind. They are totally in sync with each other, especially in a musical sense. I don't recall too many other groups who were this in sync in a continuous state like this. It's all about the group and what they can accomplish.
Someone was a spoil sport with their track "Blooming" ..Apparently..Kanami wrote herself in for 4 guitar solos.....but it was not to be...she only gets 2..bummer!......But it's still a bloody corker!..one of my favs.

New Madiacs (that's what we call ourselves) are so much fun to see. It brings back how I felt when I first started with the band years ago. Thanks for the refresher guys, and it is a fact that any song you choose will blow your socks off. But I think you should maybe try something from their newer stuff next. Try Manners/Black Hole a twofer live that gives you some groove and some progressive rock in the same video. Enjoy!

Please check out the LIVE version of DOMINATION as your next BM song since you haven't fully experienced the great audience interactions and the masterful crowd control by the lead vocalist. The song, as the lead track for their World Domination album, was written as their declaration to the world that they're coming to dominate all of us with their music.
I would say try "real existence official live song" or A Song Called Blooming
Dice and Rinne are songs which you better watch in the studio version. But in general you should watch official live versions. Musically they are as good as the studio versions, but they re-arange sometimes the songs and add new parts to it and you have also the interaction between the Ladies....much more fun to watch and listen.
Best pronunciations I've heard in a while. They're all great songs. If you're not into one, move on to the next. There's something for everyone!

About time guys! Wait till you hear more of their live shows! Dice is my top since it was my first but I've come to love many many more from them. Not a one I dislike. They get both harder and softer than Dice but it always sounds like Band-Maid.

Dice… as great as it is, is not their best song. Not by a long shot. But that’s not an indication of how awesome they are. No, what really indicates their awesomeness is just HOW MANY songs are as good, or better, than Dice! Not dissing the song because, as I said, it is terrific… it kicks most non-Band Maid songs asses… just painting a picture of what awaits you on your journey. Manners/Black Hole official live… you’ll not regret it. You’ve not heard stuff from their new album yet, and that’s a great place to start.
Honestly, go to their RUclips channel, sort the videos to oldest first, and go. Every song will put the same smiles on your face. And those are only the tip of the iceberg for Band-Maid. To beat a dead horse. Every song of their 100+ catalog is better than anything else coming out today.

The great: the transition between solos where MISA starts the phrase and Kanami finishes it.

all their songs are their best songs. check out Alone. it was the first song their label let them write entirely on their own, and they absolutely proved themselves. one of the best Kanami solos. other than that it depends what you want. if you want heavy, check out Rinne. if you want vocal fireworks, the live version of Wonderland. oh, and Domination live is mandatory. that's their statement piece, it's them saying "this is us, here we are. you with us? then let's effin' go!"
You want Anime music? “Different” and “Sense” are both written as intros to Anime series. And IMO, a couple of their best songs for just plain organized chaos. Easily becoming the best band in the world.
Thier songs are different. Ha! they have a song named "Different". But they play any style so there are no limitations on what they will do next. They start off with a metal beat, move into more a hard rock, throw in a catchy kind of pop rock chorus, get the crowd involved like the punk rockers of old, then seamlessly transition into a breakdown with a couple face melting solo's, throw in a couple more changeup's to continue escalating the song through the outro. That might be all in just one four-minute song. Then their next song might just be the tastiest retro groove rock masterpiece you ever heard.

Hey guys just a couple suggestions if you want to go with MV try ( Blooming and Choose Me) just for starters. They have so many great videos to choose from. Band Maid is definitely the Greatest Musically Talented Band goin today. I'm a 62 year old Maidiac and enjoy Band Maid for every song and video they've done.
Not being condescending guys, every song is one of their best songs. Some of my personal recommendations Blooming official MV, Sense official MV, Rinne official MV, Real Existence official LIVE performance (live is better but both are great) all on their channel.
