My wife and I just returned from a trip to Wyoming from Michigan. We rode I90 west and returned I80 east. One big loop on a K1600 GTL. The BMW K 1600 is a gift that keeps giving. The engine is unmatched as is the comfort, the performance, the stying, the torque, and the horsepower. Nothing can beat the BMW K1600 in any category. I can take all the side cases and trunk off in less than a minute.
I rode across Wyoming with some friends coming back from Yellowstone...we looked like a bunch of drunks swerving all over the lane LOL, had 50+mph crosswinds due to a storm we were trying to beat. I feel your pain!
The different riding modes/throttle maps can help with throttle sensitivity/twitchiness. In the "normal" or "road" mode (depending on the year) it's less abrupt than in the "dynamic" mode. FYI
Hey Marshall, very nice vlog, loved the video that I watched and within few minutes first subscribed to your RUclips channel, not to lose any content from you. I’m Yogesh, was in COS & in Austin, TX. I love motorcycles 💐
I liked your intro.."The Goldwing Killer" FYI to BMW if you're gonna strike the king, you'd better kill the king. Honda continues to deliver on the GW. J/K Nice content, keep up the good work.
Honda will always rule the reliability and comfort fields. You get more color choices too. The BMW might perform a little with a bit more growl though.
So did it have heated grips, or at least is optional? Enjoyed the review. I've noticed the BMW has more power than the Honda GW. But Honda's reliability is a huge factor. It has to do with which dealership gives the best service for a reasonable cost, and repair time.
The BMW is more sporty than a Wing, but the Wing still rules for comfort and fewer shop visits. I'm pretty sure the GTL has heated grips, but I need the manual to find out how to get to the MENU to turn them on. I prefer a button.
“Read the manual” -man if you had read it you would have learned there is a quick shifter on the bike making it clutch less above second gear, not learning half way round..- there is also an idiot light above the Gear indicator on the dash telling you when to change…….the clutch lever itself is also adjustable btw -don’t be like some of the other donuts trying to review something and knowing noting about it…nice review all the same 👍🏻
I didn't have time to read the manual; It's not my bike. In fact, when I go to the dealer, I don't know WHICH bike they are giving me for the day, or how it is set up. I adjusted the shift lever in the first 30 miles...it's in the video. Thanks for watching .

Did you experience any wind buffer issues? I keep reading they start "wandering and searching" above 60MPH on the interstate.

Best tourer on the planet. I have the GT version.😁😁👍
Enjoyed the ride! Considering a Wing or a BMW (Grand America) to add to my Indian Springfield. Appreciated the tips

this bike looks like it is one of the most comfortable bikes
In 200 miles that day, it was quite comfortable.
Does the 2023 still burn as much oil as tbe 2018?
That I cannot answer, I'm sorry. Or if the coil packs go out as often...
