Simply making the diffs all metal makes it better in my book. I had problems with the v1 diffs and slipper clutch. Both have been rectified with the v2. Throw in the sway bars, better pinion gear, better motor mount, better arms, shocks, driveshafts, shock towers, transmitter, and wheel hexes. I think the v2 offers an improvement on everything the v1 kraton fell short on.
Yeah definately a big difference in performance from v1 to v2 kraton for sure. Going to be intersting ifthere is the same difference in the outcast . Great video as usual.

No matter if it’s an arrma or maybe something else like corally, those body pins just don’t hold up very well. I didn’t have that much problems with those back in 2019 with my v3 outcast for example. Maybe the rubber quality has changed ??
Thanks Earl! I have a Big Rock and really like it. It was my first “basher” type rig. I’m really thinking about a 4s truck and the Krayton maybe it. Shorter than the Big Rock but longer than the Outcast. I think it will be a great all round rig!
I love the 6s line, but have difficulty in getting past their perceived fragility. Almost all Arrmas get the "Arrma tough" motto, except the 6s offroaders. Maybe they can lighten them up a bit, use proper aluminum for the chassis, or just ditch the aluminum chassis altogether. At least the outlook on the new 4s line looks good in being as durable as the now legendary 3s line is.
This was a great comparison with a slice of horizon hobby move! There spectrum strap on Arrma. I never really seen the any version but they are nice and light weight. Also pretty large. I thing it was a great comparison. Thanks 🙏
Great comparison Earl, now you have run the V2 how would you compare it to the Tekno MT410. Taking the price difference into account of coarse as well as performance.
Great education video review, not a huge fan of plastic/ composite rc parts , especially in the drivetrain, i think aarma is going backwards not forward with some of their new releases, the brushed resto mod is a definite backwards step then the 3s infraction basher makes me think twice before buying a new aarma rc car. Just my honest opinion, plus in Australia there is so limited stock that unless we preorder and pay in full before arrival there is no chance of getting any if the aarma range of rc cars. Nice work. I have the 4s Kraton with the sx2 I think it is and they have such a horrible delay. I know the new remotes feel cheap but they have a much better response time. Probably hard to tell with those crap tires the V1 comes with. I'm surprised you like the old remote.
Can’t compare it to the sledge because it would definitely loose in my opinion. Sledge is a different level and the price not cheap but ok for how durable it is afterall
i immediately bindededededd them to my DX3 right outta the box. such a much better radio than the SLT3🤢AND i made the mistake of buying those dboots minkowa's or whatever they're called. for my 6S Kraton cause i couldn't find any BackFlips in stock at the time. 🤦♂see i feel like the front end on the v2 is all droopy, when you parallel parked them at the curb. mine is sittin' like that outta the box the rebound is good, but the compression seems a bit too weaksauce. i'd like your opinion on the suspensions too.
Overall I like the new V2 4s But I'm not liking how the arms are dedicated to that Chassis. So no swapping 3s arms for 4s, also the battery tray deal WTF why two setups. Man it's a tough one, transferable parts was always my arrma big win but they're slowly going traxxas.

Its an epic truck, but it has a major problem. I love the 10 minutes I got out of it, but the stupid couplers that go from the steel ball to the diff outdrive need to be steel themselves. The torque ripped the grub screw sideways in its hole, and ripped the axle pin through the plastic turning the hole into an oval, all within the first 10 minutes. I never even jumped the thing. One full-throttle launch on concrete to test acceleration and wheelie and it did all that damage because the plastic is too thin and too soft for 4S power in that particular spot. Hundreds of owners are reporting similar issues, so M2C Racing is already underway in making stronger parts.

Yeah every rc I have has ripped em out of them rubber straps. At this point if they aren't working on one it's a problem

It’s a good step up rc and a lot of the big rock parts can be used as back up parts till you get the correct parts in 👍👍
I have the outcast 6s exb, notorious 6s and picked up the v2 4s. The outcast are beasts on launch ramps. Eventually I will pick up a kraton also.

I think the V2 looks great! We'll see about the long term durability, but it has quite a few nice features.

One uses 17mm nuts the old version 8 mm nuts but I’ll get the conversation done ✅

Seen razor rc broke his battery straps and cracked his chasis in least 2 places on his v2 4s kraton. 2nd run with it.
Yes as his battery strap broke he continued to run it and seems the battery was beating the chassis up on every landing 👍

Some of the scx2 had terrible range and laggy it was hit or miss you’ll see the V2 controller are possibly having another issue 🤔🤔
