We are going to Cayo Santa Maria this July and unfortunately I just learned from your video that the insects will be bad. Might they be less of a pain in July?🤞 Would you suggest that we bring bug repellant from Canada? Love your videos. You speak very clearly and have tips I never thought of.
Great information I am going December 20th to Jan 3rd. Staying in veradaro. I will watch more of your videos to inform myself. Will report back on how my stay was when I get back to Toronto. Thanks for the videos
Lovely video, great tips! Any ideas on the tourist policy of Cuba for the upcoming summer months? I would like to travel to Cuba with my girlfriend for 2 or 3 weeks in July/August.
Thank you! Last time I checked, you had to do a covid test upon arrival at the airport then go straight to your hotel and quarantine for 24 hrs in your room until the results come back. I would also check with your airline if you have to do a test as well before departure. Enjoy your trip!! 😊👍
Hi Gideon, thanks for your question. According to this www.kayak.com/travel-restrictions?setlc=en#cuba and the links they included, if you test positive, you will be taken to a local hospital.
I did that maybe 10 yrs ago but now not many people do that. We spoke with some tourists that come back every year to the same hotel so they make friends and they bring stuff for them they know they need.
Adobe Juan honestly I’m not sure why but the Cuban government made it mandatory in 2010. You can get travel insurance with any company even when you buy your package online it asks if you want insurance so there’s so many options for that. You can get the cheapest smallest package or a more elaborate one it’s up to you. I like Bluecross because if anything happens to you, you don’t have to pay anything out of your pocket the hospital calls bluecross and charges them directly.
Did you have to quarantine on your hotel for 5 days, once you arrived to Cuba? How was immigration Customs? How do you get a Covid test before returning to the US? My biggest fear is to get stuck in Havana with no money and not he able to comeback to the US.
This trip was in March right before Canada went into lockdown so no. But from my understanding right now once you take your covid test at the airport you have to quarantine in your room for 24 hrs until the results come back then you’re free to enjoy. Check with the tour operator or call the hotel to ask how to do the covid test prior to returning. Most hotels I believe have a dr on site that will be doing the tests.
Hi! Yes you do. All resorts offer that. Once you exit the airport you have to look for your travel rep from whichever company you flew with and they will tell you which bus you’re on. On your return you’ll speak to your travel rep at the hotel and they will tell you what day & time your bus will take you to your airport.
Yes I think you could be right. I forget but I’m pretty sure we got less CUC for 1 USD. It’s supposed to be at par though when you use these currency conversion apps. When we used USD to shop we paid more but not by a lot
Can Americans travel to Cuba as individuals , without going through an expensive tour guide group , and travel on your own.Things should start to ease up with this new administration coming in.
@@robrobski9445 we found a really nice one in Varadero when we were just walking around it was directly on the beach beautiful clean house Casa Aguas Azules Varadero. They charge more per night because maybe the direct beach access not sure but definitely a nice house

Thank you very much! 😊 Yes definitely bring lots of bug spray. It’s hard to find it and if you do it’s overpriced.

You’re very welcome! Yes the situation seems to be pretty bad but hopefully it will calm down before you go on your trip
