    I’ve had the Access covers on my last two trucks and can’t say enough about them. I recommend them to all my friends and family. I live in Massachusetts and our winters are not friendly. Ice and lots of snow and these covers handle it perfectly. When spring finally comes, they still look brand new! Love them. Great videos btw, love watching them.

    Have had several different brands of "roll up" style bed covers, over the years. All of the others started to fail @ about 5 years. My last truck, 2007, had an access cover that was about 11 years old. It still functioned properly. The material was getting a little tired, but 11 years. North east winters and always parked out side.... Highly recommend this product.

    I have a 2018 F-150 and have owned a Diamondback Truck Cover for two years now. I had a 2016 and when I traded it in, I kept the diamondback for the new truck. Hands down the best tonneau cover in existence. Can haul an ATV or UTV on top. Solid diamondplate aluminum in black line-x. Check them out. They are made in a family owned business in central Pennsylvania, near State College PA. A little pricey, but worth every dime.

    Nice cover. We recently purchased a new 2018 Ram 2500 crew cab diesel and looked at all of the options for bed covers. We settled on the Undercover SE one piece unpainted ABS bed cover. I wanted something secure, strong and really weather resistant. The nice thing is that it only weighs 58 pounds and comes off and goes back on in a 3 minutes. The four brackets installed with aluminum clamps and requires no drilling of the bed. We pop it off and store in the fifth wheel when we are towing. Once we reach our destination the cover goes back on to secure the fifth wheel hitch, air compressor, tools and things kept in the bed. It also comes with a set of hooks to hang the cover on in your garage, shop or shed when you need access for hauling large items. We are super happy with it.

    Have used a "hokey stick" as a cheep bed grabber for years. Fits across the bed behind the wheel wells to keep stuff from sliding forward.

    I like that. Easy roll up, not taking up space when I want to load my dirt bikes into the truck. And protect items from rain when needed. Very nice set up. Thanks.

    I have used the Access Cover for the past 9 years. I pair it with the Access Adarac which allows me to transport kayaks when I tow my camper, and the Adarac does not prevent me from using the tonneau. I've been happy with the performance of the system.

    Problem with this type is lack of security. My last truck I installed a retractable, lockable Pace Edwards roll top cover. Had it for 14 years in the Arizona sun with no issues. So when I purchased a 2017 Ram I again went for Pace Edwards. It too is lockable. The nice thing is they have tops for long beds like mine.

    Nice looking unit but my preference is the 4 section 'Back-Flip' hard cover. It was installed on a daily driver county truck I used for several years, the truck is still in service and so is the cover. I was really tough, waterfproof and offered a lot of security while being able to cover the entire bed or just fold back one section at a time as needed. Good videos, keep them coming it is nice to see what is out there.

    When we got our 5th wheel, I was looking for a bed cover that could move out of the way of the hitch and clear the 5th wheel king pin moving for turns. I saw your video on the Access Cover and got one myself. I love it! It’s so easy to use, clears out of the way for towing the 5er, and keeps everything in the bed dry and away from prying eyes. I know a hard cover would be harder for someone to break into, but I couldn’t find one I liked that got out of the way enough without blocking the view into bed while up. I know it’s not perfect for everyone, but it was for me. Thanks for the info on it and thanks for all the reviews you do!

    I would agree. Recently, I purchased a truck and needed a cover. I was going to get the Access as that’s what i had on my last truck. However, I like the look of the Truxedo Pro 15x or whatever. MISTAKE…leaks in all 4 corners. I knew quality when i had it and went for the shiny new object. Truxedo has very good customer service, however that does not make a leaking cover NOT LEAK. KICKING MYSELF ALL THE WAY DOWN THE ROAD IN THE RAIN. Imagine, everytime it’s about to rain, the first thought in your head is OOOO, what’s in my truck bed. Sorry Access, I apologize to you guys for not trusting my gut. There you go all, you do not need to read any other product reviews. THIS is your answer!!!!!!

    I just installed one 2 weeks ago. Definitely use an impact gun to install the clamps. I tried to use a normal ratchet and the clamps tear out of the aluminum rail, so you have to keep the clamp from rotating with your hand while tightening it, or just zip it on with an impact.

    My only complaint with soft top covers is that in South Texas the sun eats up the stitching on them and after a few years the Velcro separates from the cover. Restitching or replacement under warranty is needed. That happens when it is kept outside in the elements.

    • @BigTruckBigRV
      @BigTruckBigRV  6 лет назад +3

      that's where I believe Access is superior to many other soft top covers. All mine (4) and everyone I know with the Access cover has held up great on South Texas heat.

    Please do a review of a retrax pro or a very similar tonneau cover. Possible even one that works on a remote control. I’d love to see one of those and if they’re worth the price.

    My turnout gear cost about $4000 per set, I do not put it in the cab of the truck because of carcinogens that can collect fires. That Cover is very nice but does not offer any security, I didn’t wanna bed space taken up with one of the sliding caps, also didn’t want my back window covered when I’m pulling a fifth wheel so I went with a revolver X2 for security purposes.

    • @sleim754
      @sleim754 6 лет назад +1

      I have the revolver by bak industries also. I still am able to load my 50" RZR in the back. Very secure. Much more than these fabric types as in the video above.

    I helped a friend of mine install his second one, and he swears by them. This has been the cover I’ve looked at for a while (thanks to his endorsement as well as yours), but I need to be sure the contents I haul will stay absolutely dry in all conditions. What prevents water from seeping in between the rails and bed rails? Didn’t notice any gasket materials. Is the design and fit such that it prevents leaks? Thanks!

    With the sun 🌞 down here in Texas I don’t recommend a soft tonneau cover, I think it pops up to much from the side of the truck it would look better as flush as possible. Not sure if you can put bed rails as the side of the truck with this product for some folks who like to make it look nice, a soft tonneau cover when you drive just looks bad at high speeds hard ones just look better in my opinion

    Something else, Get a couple of those foam noodles the kids use in the swimming pool. Run a slice down the length. Use these to fit onto the rails when you are hauling something and want to protect the rail and/or cargo. Such as bicycles or furniture. OK i'll shut up now.

    In another of your video you had the cover rolled front to back. I don’t remember a tool box in that video. I want to cover my F/W receiver and install an aux diesel fuel tank with tool box . The height of the box is even with the rail. Do all Access covers roll from front to back?

    The Access "Tonneau" or soft cover is nice but shrinks and is very hard to get back on. This is from experience working with the older type snap clip buttons.

    I want to get a bed cover like this but I don’t trust people and it doesn’t lock the bed. I’m afraid people are going to steal my stuff by just opening up the tailgate but I’m on a budget and can’t afford one of the heavy duty locking ones. Any suggestions?

  • @andrewjohnson8410

    Not bad, but I dont care for the soft vinyl. The velcro on the sides seems cheap to me. Main reason why I went with a BakFlip G2 on my '14 F150. I liked the hard cover and the fact that I can still fold it up out of the way if I want to haul something large. Nice video, though. As they all are. Cheers.

  • @tommays56
    @tommays56 6 лет назад

    Without the 4 bows like and Extang has they really suffer in the snow the Northeast gets and the vinyl gets a bit hard in the cold to the point you really at least need the sun out

    I am curious why you recommend this cover over the BAK Revolver X2?
    I have had Truxedo, which is almost the same as the one you installed, and the stitching wants to come unraveled from pulling on it to tighten the sides and then pressing the velco.
    Anyone, wondering why you recommend this particular cover....

    • @BigTruckBigRV
      @BigTruckBigRV  6 лет назад +2

      Nothing wrong with the BAK covers. They are twice the price though. Also, they roll-up into a much larger Mass when open which could be problematic for some fifth wheels. I agree they are great, but this is for a more budget oriented buyer.
