video ideas (idk maybe you have a lot planned but if not): - how does a game of high level deadlock work? how long does the laning phase last, when to do midboss, how do you play with the team etc. - how to deal with x hero as y hero (how to beat x hero with every other hero. wpuld be a lot of vids)
Awesome video! Been learning a ton from you. Surprised yer not more positive on Monster Rounds; the conditional bonus is sooo nice early game, and it's really easy to just have it be the first orange item you sell when you start buying other orange items. Sure you lose 250 souls but 250 souls is 1 minion wave, and in the meantime it will have almost surely secured atleast 250 souls.
@@AverageJonas i dont like playing bebop. if his bombs didnt scale to infinity, it would be fine. getting almost one shot with full spirit resist in late game is not fun
This was very helpful, the amount of items you see when you jump in can be very overwhelming and taking the time to look through them can also feel like a chore. Really look forward to next two videos! I want to start just building myself as i go and adjusting team comps and enemy builds instead of using prebuilds
I had never seen your content prior to Deadlock getting on my radar, but I've absolutely enjoyed watching your content and that of others who also began to play. The guides and explanations are extremely appreciated and I hope to see more.
i love these deadlock videos jonas. you are also the first guy i watched as soon as deadlock content was coming out left and right and you helped me discover it.
I've seen so many videos explaining what items are good, what they do, and what they're good at. But no one speaks about WHEN to buy which items, especially in relation to their tier. How do you determine when tier 1 or tier 2s aren't worth buying anymore? How do you decide when to save for a tier 3 or 4 item? When do you sell and replace low tier items, if ever? And which low tier items are so slot efficient that you should never sell? Can you do a guide on this? Item building, pacing, and slot efficiency? This is definitely the most difficult aspect of the item system. Anyone can just read the items and pretty much figure out everything else explained in these item videos.
I feel like the meta on this stuff is developing in real time, it most likely will be months before things like this are definitive enough to make a guide on
I mean, just look at the numbers, right? Like, I don't think close quarters or long-range are worth selling unles there's some crazy interaction happening that'd beat them out.
Disagree. Not everyone has hours every day to sit in front of the computer and read item descriptions. I can just throw vids like this on my aux cord and listen to them during my commute
As a league player, when i saw ricochet i immediately thought it was busted. Fps andies don't realise how important solid waveclear is. If your character has poor waveclear, richochet just accelerates your character to the moon. Ive been buying it as my first luxery item on weapon talon and as i suspect it just snowballs me into the stratosphere. This is a moba. Faster clear means more time for other things, more tome means more income, gold makes gold exponentially. The games where i rush it im usually extremely fed bc i just take waves and jungle camps absurdly fast. Additionally, if you are losing, i have defended base pretty effectively with it because without minions pushing the patron is difficult unless its late late game.
I'm glad you pointed out the active item fear. I'm absolutely in that boat, there is so much going on already and the characters are new and mobas are newish to me so I specifically avoid active items because I'm just gonna forget to use them. Hopefully over time I become more comfortable with the game as you said. :)
36:45 Decay says current health not max health. Unless there is something at play i dont understand. It wouldn't be 8% of their max health but their current health.
Is Siphon bullets ever worth it or is it a trap? I bought it recently and it felt like I really lost out on the impact that pretty much any other luxury item would've given me.
I really liked this video a lot! My only concern, is a lot of the individual item advice and information could be gone in about 1 week when we get a book worths of patch notes. I feel like I would have gotten a lot of value out of a video that taught me how to build a hero, how to experiment, and everything sprinkled in the is general to all the items.
It is too complex to make one guide about how to build a hero without breaking down the items first, especially because everyone plays them differently. The majority of items barely change during a patch and it is also just a baseline of understanding that could help alot to understand what upcoming patches will change
Awesome deadlock content my guy, what are your thoughts on viscous, cause after playing the game for some days and trying the cast, he seems to be kind of the yoru of deadlock. His abilities are just so out there, his skill ceiling must be crazy.
For me its usually dependant on slot issues! If you have a lot of flex slots you can allow yourself to buy more 1250-3000s as they generally hold more value than one big item! Also items like tesla bullets for farming should be bought very early!
Im just excited what intro you will make, Found a character with an aimable projectile that does not dissapear after a few seconds? i like the game don't get me wrong. I like the new start Jonas honestly! Keep it up man and maybe you will beat your old Valorant content in views
Good to gain all this information, while one can only watch videos, until access is not restricted. Now i understand better why people buy certain items and the builds start to make sense.
I don't think berserker is that great, I'd buy other things like active reload or slowing bullets instead. And I think it would be kind of a waste to use it in a flex slot.
i dont understand what the percentage of weapon damage represents, i read like 90 percent weapon damage but is it a this value included already in the dps calculation?
34:55 No mention of the Mystic Slow combo with Toxic Bullets and Tesla Bullets? That's a massive 30% movement slow and 40% fire rate slow on any enemy that you shoot. There's no reason not to buy Mystic Slow on any hero, in my opinion. It's just way too good. 49:33 Silencer is NOT the most expensive item in the game. The most expensive item in the game is Boundless Spirit at 9,800 souls.
Sorry my bad, there’s alot to cover in these videos, sometimes stuff slips through. Mystic slow is more common with tesla than toxic bullets, I just mentioned the healbane combo as its easier/cheaper and less situational
@@AverageJonas Mystic Slow is slightly better on Toxic Bullets than Tesla Bullets. This is because after proc the debuffs will stay there for 5 seconds after the last shot, unlike Tesla Bullets where the debuffs would last only 2 seconds after the last shot. Also, Toxic Bullets is a viable item for everyone, where Tesla Bullets are only viable for Spirit builds. Healbane is more situational than Mystic Slow. Yea I believe so! Because the buff lasts for 20 seconds, im not sure actually, I can test it on stream today! The buff lasts for 20 sec but i wonder if u reapply it by attacking more or if it resets.
One thing I don't like about Point Blank is that it replaces the "bullet" shield health from Close Quarters with bullet res, I think it's weird how some upgraded items replace their 'weaker' variants stats with different ones. This also means that if you wanted that extra shield health to keep up your Combat Barrier for the damage and fire rate increase you can't upgrade it to Point Blank (damage res doesn't effect shield health).
Kinda, but not really. You can select three heroes at a minimum and prioritize your main in purple while picking two other extremely popular heroes as your two other choices, but this only increases the chance you'll get your purple pick if that hero himself isn't popular. I almost guarantee being Paradox every game because my other two are choices are Seven and Vindicta.
