- Despite my late night arrival, the action awaits me once again. I'm on the search for the pike inhabiting these same waters which I have spent every last Thursday on. Something very unusual which I've never witnessed before happens early into fishing and I'm about to find my quarry yet again, but Round 1 of facing security proves to be another challenge tonight. I have no choice but to vary my approach, and have come prepared to do so.
I would not fail tonight.

I close two barbs on trebles
Mate it was dark. No one would have noticed if you had dropped that security guy.
Tie a few rocks to the body and sink him. By the time he bloats up and floats you’ll be long gone. I used the same technique in Tescos in Watford when some busybody asked me to return my trolly to the trolly Park.
Haven’t had any issues since and the E-FIT looks nothing like me.

Hi, I really like your channel. You made me to spend some money on a new gear and I've just received my licence. I live near canal next to Maida Vale. I'm just wondering do I need extra permits to fish in the canal? Where can I get it and how can I know where I can fish? I mean I don't know how much you have to pay to fish wherever in London? I'd love to feel free, but it seems a little hard. I'd appreciate any info, thanks!

There is so much worse going on than someone fishing! Shame you weren’t left to it, it’s not like you’re hurting anyone by being there that late at night! Stay safe my friend and tight lines
So I was binge watching all of your videos the last few days and I came to the conclusion that fishing in london seems to be very interesting but also very annoying, because in every video someone wants to call the police on you 😭😂

Nice one...chunky pike.. treble hooks are tricky..maybe just scale down those excellent single hooks you use if smaller fish are predominant....
If you hate using trebles mate, why not stop? I never use treble hooks and even if you feel you have to why not squash the barbs?
Or try using a double hook and use a twitching dead/live bait method, that way there’s no worry of “has it swallowed the hook”

This is why lots of people don't go fishing .. because you get asked to leave wherever you go .. .
They wonder why kids today stay at home on there phones.. as soon as they go out and enjoy themselves someone is always there to tell them " you can't do this , your not allowed!" !!...

Last time I caught a pike. he engulfed the jig with 1 single hook 3 inch bait. I had to take him home. pike 55cm law 60cm what a shame

The people who created these modern developments have claimed ownership of the canals. I guess they are providing security and safety . What they dont realise is your prescence is keeping it even more safer. The jobsworth guards should no better. Having people around always deters crime. Your nighttime adventures for predators are an eye opener ,do you think all the lights help you.
That's actually so true, excellent observation right there 👍and about the fish and lights, it's all about how the fish adapt to their surroundings. I've caught pike on lures while surrounded by complete darkness on certain occasions 🎣🌃🌙
Just wait for police i had same in Ipswich near some office buildings and flats, nothing they can do anyway it's a civil matter the police that came to me told me that.
That security guard was a funny little man i know a few who get an SIA license and suddenly think they are the law
