  • University in Scotland has kept me busy since 2021, but not busy enough to stop me from finding carp in an old pond somewhere in Scotland during the summer of 2023.

    So how did you find the Scots..less uptight about the fishing it seems...
    Interesting strain of carp there. Seems to be a v shallow water the way they fought...

    Plenty of Scottish tench in the canals through Glasgow and Edinburgh, the canals connect so lots of room for the fish to move around. Also some Monstrously large pike and very big perch…

    • @theHorizonLiner
      @theHorizonLiner  5 месяцев назад

      This wouldn't be the right place for that as they're old and scarce, besides it being prohibited haha and I doubt they would ever have a pleasant taste coming from that pond anyway. Although I have been told similar things about carp caught in other countries where they're eaten! Where have you tried it?

    • @CristiNeagu
      @CristiNeagu 5 месяцев назад

      @@theHorizonLiner Romania, homeland of the carp. As long as that pond isn't full of sewage, it's going to be a nice tasting fish. If you ever have the chance, try some that's less than 3kg. Over that they get quite fatty, and they're better grilled.
